Contratulations @leilani1 and @Feathertip!

The weather is beautiful in Texas, but I don’t trust it. February is usually our coldest month, but according to the forecast it will be warm for the next 2 weeks.

As of today, my new grand baby is still cooking in the oven. They want him to cook until next Friday so he will be at 34 weeks. Thank you for the prayers!

I had a doctors appointment last Thursday for my foot. The appointment was a 8:00 am and I didn’t leave work until 8:30 am so I missed it. I rescheduled for Tuesday.

They are finally starting the investigation on crazy lady at work, but I’m pretty sure someone gave her a heads up because she kept her mouth shut and avoided me as much as possible last week, thank the gods.

That’s about it for me this week.

I hope everyone has a beautiful, magickal week!

Congratulations @leilani1 and @Feathertip and welcome to the new cove members.

’ve been feeling quite tired these last few days, so I’m hoping to gently perk myself up with some exercise and walks in nature :herb::sparkles: Even though the weather here in England is cold and rainy :cloud_with_rain::snowflake:, I know that fresh air can still feel cleansing and energising, almost like a little reset spell for the mind and body :magic_wand::dizzy:

I’m home for a week and then heading back to Bewitched, my static caravan :house_with_garden::ocean:, which always feels like my own peaceful sanctuary. Being by the sea and surrounded by nature makes my mindset so much clearer and calmer. There’s something truly magical about that space, and Shadow (my cat) and I both love it there :paw_prints::sparkles: It feels tranquil, grounding, and a little enchanted — exactly where my soul feels most at ease :sparkling_heart::ocean::glowing_star:

Blessed be :raising_hands:

Congratulations to @leilani1 and @Feathertip for being awesome! Thanks, y’all!

That is worrisome. Does that mean there’s more of a risk of tornadoes?

Crossing my fingers that the bun will stay in the oven!

I hope they still look into her, despite her trying to act sane. Sorry about your doctor’s appointment! Hopefully, you’ll make it to the next one!

That’s a good idea! I hope it helps you. I think I’ll burp my apartment today. Maybe that’ll help wake me up some.

Glad you’ve got a special place to feel cozy in! Enjoy your time there!

My ride service canceled on me, so I had to redo both my appointments today. On one hand, that’s annoying. But on the other hand, yay for staying home! LOL!

No big plans for the week for me! I have a cheesecake I need to take out of the freezer for my birthday tomorrow, and I’ll enjoy that. Other than that, I’ve got nothing to do this week.

I’ve got to say it, I’m looking forward to Spring. I’m tired of the greys and browns out my window. I miss the leaves. I’m thinking of decorating for Spring early in hopes of making it come. Sort of like a sympathetic magic type of deal. What do y’all think, would it work?

@Ostara - thanks, babe! So glad to hear the little one is being cooperative and all is well.

Get that foot to the doctor tomorrow!

Better late than never. She could have saved herself looking like a fool by keeping her mouth shut the entire time - some people have to learn the hard way, right? Good luck with it!

Congrats to you, Lady Gene! Your witty and thoughtful posts are always a delight to see.

I have painters in the house, like right now! :open_mouth: We painted the upstairs bedroom and hallway ourselves last fall, but stopped at the stairwell, which has a strange foot-wide ledge that evades any big ladder we have. I’m very happy to be getting the stairwell finished! And the living room ceiling cracks repaired and it will be painted, too.

I’ll be wringing my hands until this job is done. Super nice guys and very professional, but I just hate having people working in the house. Makes me nervous.

That’s all I have going on for the week, since this will take a couple-three days. I brought this anxiety on myself, too - the best kind!

I hope everyone has a wonderful, more peaceful week than I set myself up for! :joy:

Merry Meet Carrianne,

Yes, I love being by the water also. When I lived in Hawaii, I was only 2 blocks from the beach, when I got off work (noon-2, I worked breakfast and lunch shift) I would take my son to swim. He learned how to swim at Waikiki beach at 3 years old (years before, he had actually drowned in a pool, in New Mexico. When we got him out of the water, he wasn’t breathing. I flipped him over my knees as I was crouched, and pounded his back. Water came out, he was fine. I asked him what he remembered. He remembered falling in, but not being pulled out. So, he must’ve just passed out before we got him.) So, Waikiki had two huge pontoons out on the water. We would swim to one, rest, swim to the other, rest, them swim back. I taught all my kids to swim, the Hawaiian way. Make the kids grab your hair as you swim, with them on your back (well, the water is going between you two) that way the child can feel how you swim and move through the water. Less than a week later, he was swimming. Upon returning to New Mexico, he would throw coins in the deep end (8 feet) and get them. People would trip-out when he would go in the deep end, and I’m like, “nah, he’s okay”. So, between age 2-3, he drowned, learned how to swim in Hawaii, and by the end of the year, was jumping in the deep end of the swimming pools.

Thank-you so much everyone for the congratulations, but I must say, it is all Katharina!

That sounds so restful and lovely! I hope it soothes your soul.

That’s the spirit - look for that silver lining! Annoying to get your ride canceled, though - grrr…!

ooo - cheesecake! Happy Birthday, beautiful! I’ll sneak a piece of that cheesecake in spirit and enjoy it with you - my favorite!

Decorating early for Spring is one way to chase the gray away! I’m ready to do it, too! Maybe the Spring goddesses will take pity on us and bring it on. :tulip: :blossom: :hyacinth:

Hi @Amethyst

I truly love my special place; I feel incredibly blessed :sparkles: and I thank the universe every single day for all that I have :folded_hands::dizzy:.

I’m sorry your ride was cancelled, but as long as you’re well and it’s worked out in your favour, that’s what really matters :white_heart:.

Cheesecake is one of my absolute favourite desserts :shortcake: such a treat! I hope you have the most wonderful birthday tomorrow :tada::birthday_cake: and that it’s filled with joy and special moments :sparkles:.

And yes, absolutely decorate for Spring :cherry_blossom::herb: bring in that fresh, magical feeling :sparkles:. I’m so ready to say goodbye to this dull weather, it feels like it’s lasted forever :cloud_with_rain:. I can’t wait for the warmth of the sun :sun:, the flowers beginning to bloom :tulip:, and that beautiful sense of coming out of hibernation and back into light and colour :blossom::yellow_heart:.

Merry Meet @leilani1 :sparkles:

Being two blocks from the beach in Hawaii sounds absolutely magical :ocean::sun:, especially those afternoons at Waikiki after work. What happened in New Mexico must have been terrifying, but your quick instinct and strength saved him — that’s incredible mama energy right there.

I love the way you taught your children to swim, the Hawaiian way, it feels so natural and intuitive. For him to go from such a frightening experience to confidently swimming and diving in the deep end within the same year shows amazing resilience. Water truly is transformative :ocean::sparkles: Thank you for sharing such a powerful memory.

Blessed be :raising_hands:

@carrianne your static caravan sounds like just what you need to refresh your soul, but a walk in nature (even if it’s raining) sounds beautiful too. I remember when I was a teenager reading gothic romances and dreaming about walking in the rain in England.

@Amethyst Happy early Birthday! I was thinking just this morning about putting up my Ostara altar. Is it to soon?

@Feathertip I know how you feel about people working in the house. I was having my house leveled a few years ago and had no idea the men would have to come into the house. Needless to say, I think my witch room may have freaked them out a little bit!

@leilani1 I would love to be a beach bum in Hawaii!

Merry Monday Ostara,

It is really not very hard. There are the showers on the beach to wash, and the weather is great year round. My apartment turns out was very old. When I looked at some King Kamehameha Parade photos from the 40’s, my apartment was in the background.:exploding_head: Oh, at this apartment, I discovered “humidity”. It was raining for days, the dryers weren’t any good for the clothes, my wall clock stopped. It didn’t work for about a week. When the dryer was finally drying the clothes, my clock started working again,

Lady Gene :turtle:

Thank you. Sounds wonderful reading gothic romances. Hope your grandchild stays put and wishing you and your family a magical birth :sparkles:

Congratulations!

May he feel comfort so he grows strong and healthy.

I hope you were able to heal and find your footing during that time so you are better equipped to handle anything which comes up later! Pun intended.:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

What a lovely name for a Magical home! Enjoy your time there!

Absolutely! I usually carry around a small spring from a pen so I can tease people into thinking spring. If it’s spring in your heart, the cold cannot keep you from feeling Spring.

I have started receiving emails about Ostara. Not too soon for me!

Today, I will be celebrating the memory of my driver’s father. We will be eating out at his favorite restaurant. Looking forward to catfish. I bought plastic wine glasses and some Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice for a family toast. Such things mean a lot to her and may end up being a family holiday tradition for her grandson.

Friday is our tax appointment. It doesn’t usually take too long, so we’ll eat out that day too, to relax afterward. That will be the end of my financial month except for putting away the paperwork and pulling out St Pat’s green outfits to wear as long as I can.

Hmm. I may have had one of those! Mom had most of them on slides, so they are long gone. She’d do a slide show for friends and have me dressed up in a “grass” skirt, fabric lei, and fake coconut bra to dance to My Little Grass Shack until I couldn’t handle it anymore. My favorite slides were the volcanic eruptions, of which there were never enough. Hers were the flowers, of which there were too many. :joy: Others just thought we were bragging. I still celebrate the two week trip, half a century later. Good memories.

That’s hilarious! That kind of sounds like our Texas humidity.

Thank you @carrianne and @georgia.

@georgia that’s a beautiful way to honor your driver’s father. Enjoy your catfish!:clinking_glasses:

Congratulations on the shout outs @leilani1 and @Feathertip and Merry Meet to all our new coven members.

@Ostara - I agree, I’m so tempted to get out and start cleaning up but I don’t want to encourage new growth on anything just yet in case we get another freeze, which has happened before.

Sending calming energies for new grand baby so he is patient and waits until Friday!

Argh - sorry to hear you missed your doctor appointment for your foot. Hope you can make it to the Tuesday appointment.

I hope that investigation on crazy lady goes smoothly and that she doesn’t give you any more trouble.

@carrianne your little Bewitched caravan sounds positively enchanting!

@feathertip - ugh - I would hate to have people working in the house too - would make me very nervous.

@Amethyst sorry your ride service cancelled :frowning: But I love the fact that you were able to look on the bright side and enjoy your day at home.

The only thing we have going on is Eric’s procedure tomorrow. He’s waiting now for a message from them to tell them what time we need to go in tomorrow - probably at 6 am or something dreadful!

And I mentioned on the other thread - after having those seven vials of blood drawn last week, the lab missed two of the tests, so I have to go back and have more blood drawn

I hope Eric’s procedure goes well and you don’t have to drive in rush hour traffic.

Hopefully with your bloodwork they will only have to take one vial for the two tests. It sounds like they are feeding a vampire in the backroom!

@ostara Thankfully we won’t be driving – our Medicare Advantage plan includes unlimited rides to and from doctor appointments etc. with Lyft or Uber.

Wish we would have had that 10 years ago when i had three major surgeries and umpteen appointments over the summer and autumn of 2016. Poor Eric had to drive me from Tomball to the Houston Medical Center numerous times.
