My stones and crystals challenge entry 📿

For this week’s challenge, I started by looking at the crystals I received as part of my Wonky Broomstick Litha subscription box.

I don’t know much about crystals, but I did buy this book a few weeks ago…

…and decided to try to compile a list of properties for all the stones and crystals I currently own (edit: photo replaced as I realised my Carnelian was missing in action!)

The book doesn’t go into a great deal of detail, so I added to it with information from the Spells8 PDFs and found online, mostly at

I’ve put together a working guide for what I have so far, that I can add to as my collection grows.

Some of the information I found online slightly contradicted what was in my book, so if anyone has any refinements I’ll be more than happy for suggestions!

It’s a small collection at the moment but one I’m slowly expanding.

We’re on holiday in Cornwall next week and going via Glastonbury on the way, stopping off Friday night and staying there for the day on Saturday, so I’ll get to visit The Wonky Broomstick!

Typically my new chakra crystal set has arrived from amazon this morning missing the red aventurine for the sacral chakra and with two pieces of Amethyst instead :woman_facepalming:

Considered sending them back but decided against it. I’ll just get something else to represent the sacral chakra, and who doesn’t need more Amethyst in their life?

Hey, I’ve actually got a question for you about a crystal!! In your first picture of the crystals in the box, on the far right, what’s the light brown crystal? It almost has a tan looking color to it with a darker tone. Because I have one and I can’t friggin figure it out lol grr :laughing:

In the bottom right hand corner? It was sold as Kalahari Dessert Stone which I understand is a type of jasper.
