Hi! I am Shanna. I am new to Spells8, but also pretty new to witchy things. I have always felt it inside me. But I am just now unlocking a new part of me. I have discovered that I have an affinity for Tarot and am eager to learn more. I also love growing herbs and creating teas and tinctures. I have even started dabbling in infusing oils using herbs to make gummies out of. I successfully made some Ashwaganda gummies for my youngest. I look forward to getting involved and learning new parts about magick and myself.
Merry Meet @shanna5. I am new also.

Welcome!
Cards can be a fun addiction. Several of us do Tarot and Lenormand. They are wonderful ways to look inside (psychological thing). Occasionally they are quite funny but almost always interesting..
Iām Dan and I study belief systems.
Jump in and have fun!

I love how you said youāre āunlocking a new partā of yourself, thatās exactly what it feels like when the path starts opening! Itās not something new⦠itās something that was already there, just waiting for you to open the door!
Iām Stephanie or Eira of the Living Hearth, an eclectic witch from California. My practice leans into hearth and green witchery, divination (tarot, runes, oracle, Lenormand), and weaving everyday magic into home life: herbs, cooking, candles, and creating things with intention. So, your love for growing herbs, making teas, tinctures, and even gummies? Youāre already deep in kitchen witch territory ![]()
![]()
Also⦠Ashwagandha gummies for your youngest? Thatās so interesting. Thatās practical, nurturing magic right there!
Tarot will unfold for you the more you spend time with it, so just keep exploring, pulling cards, and trusting your intuition. Youāre off to a beautiful start already, darling!
So glad youāre here, Shanna.
Blessed Be.

Wow! For being so new, you are doing great! Iām an Eclectic Witch, and Iām good with chants and candle magic, with some crystal magic thrown in. Iāve never been good with herbs though, outside of brewing tea. So way to go!
If you have any questions about anything, just ask, and someone will pop up and give you a hand. I look forward to getting to know you!
Welcome @shanna5 , we are glad you have joined us. Iām Jayne, an eclectic witch originally from the UK but now living in Texas. My practice leans towards earth and nature magic, which is why I chose my witch name Greenbriar.

Iām currently working with and learning from a mouse in my apartment. He (I use the word hopefully) arrived in a piece of furniture two days ago. Smart as whip!
Thank you and welcome to you as well!! I will check that out, thanks. I already printed a few things for my journalā¦which is naturally turning into a BoS. Well I look forward to getting to know you!
Merry Meet everyone!
Thank you all so much for such a warm and magical welcome. It is so heartening to realize that what I felt as āunlocking a doorā is a path so many of you have walked too. Iām already feeling right at home!
Feathertip, Greebriar, and Jayne, itās lovely to meet fellow nature-lovers. Katharina, I love the idea of an āart-witchāāIām definitely a creative soul, and acrylic artist, so I may be picking your brain about Book of Shadows inspiration soon! Amethyst, Eira, and Lady Gene, thank you for the encouragement on the herbs; theyāve always spoken to me, and Iām happy to share my gummy-making āalchemyā with anyone interested! Stephanie, hearing you call it āhearth and green witcheryā made it click for meāthatās exactly where my heart is.
C11 and Dan, Iām definitely going to take you up on that April Tarot practice. Iām still learning to trust my intuition with the cards, so having a space to practice without judgment means the world.
And Georgia, a mouse teacher? That sounds like the start of a wonderful story!
Iām so excited to learn from all of you and dive deeper into this journey.
Blessed Be!
Merry Meet Shanna

The Green Witch and Witch DIY Apothecary Lessons are really good and informative. The Ashwaganda gummies sound interesting if you are comfortable to share how you made them that would be wonderful.

Moonbeam,
So good to meet you. I have been looking into the Green Witch and Apothecary lessons. I am doing the 1st suggested one now and learning a LOT already! This is the link to the team gummy recipe: Recipe: Peach and Rooibos Tea Fruit Gummies | The Kitchn
You can use anything. I have done some with finger, red clover, and a few other herbs for female care. My daughter has PCOS and she never takes time to brew the tea. She said they were GROSS, but I didnāt mind them. Youāve got to lean into the ginger, hahaha! I wish I could be in a small village. I grew up very rural, but now we live in town. Some day I will get back out into the woods. I need to find out more about the terminology around here. What does hedge witch mean? I feel like I connect the most with all things green. But I enjoy making specialty tea blends to help peoples various aches, pains, or woes. I am of an age where all of my friends have been getting menopause support tea blends!! Hahaha! Your dogs sound amazing! Hmmm wonder if you are a reader! Thanks for stopping in to say hello!! Have an amazing day!
Hi Shanna
Thank you replying and for the link I will definitely look at it. I am so sorry that your daughter has PCOS and can understand your drive to help her and your friends who are going through the menopause and I have read that there are over 31 symptoms ranging from hot sweats, brain fog to burning
tongue! Herbs are wonderful at helping some symptoms.
I use the Labyrinthos APP which has Tarot, Leornand and Runes IPhone. At some point I will get a physical deck but adding items to your craft slowly I find is the best way to go.
I am an Eclectic Hedgewitch. Hedge Witch is someone who walks along that boundary, stepping into the unseen to connect with spirits, nature, and hidden wisdom.
I am drawn to the Moon, Elements, nature, I am replanting my herb garden and will be going to Garden Centre to see what I can get.
Enjoy looking around the forum. Please feel free to read my profile.
Many blessings to you ![]()
