I’m new to this forum and to forums in general, so apologies if it takes me a little while to get used to how everything works!
I’m from Bristol, UK, and Wicca has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I consider myself a kitchen witch and absolutely love practicing. This year feels like a big one for my spiritual path—I’m working on completing some courses and training to become a holistic healer, with dreams of starting my own business in the future.
I joined this forum because I don’t currently have any friends in the Wiccan community, either in person or online. I’m really hoping to connect with like-minded people, learn from your experiences, and share ideas along the way.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone and being part of this lovely community!
Well hi there. I’m from Bristol UK too. I’m not Wiccan though but practice Nordic Witchcraft although I do have some lovely wiccan books that I use and spells, bit of a mix n match. This is a lovely coven. Looking forward to getting to know you. Bless
Hi, @amanda75! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia over here in the States. Welcome to the forum!
I’m glad to meet you! I found this forum after looking for connections online and in real life too! I consider it a blessing because everyone here is so lovely!
Anyhow, I’m looking forward to getting to know you!
Welcome @amanda75 ! It’s great to have you with us! I’m from Minnesota, USA. I’ve been practicing many different aspects of the craft for 35+ years. I currently work with chaos magick, voodoo and divination.
I love your plans for working with holistic healing and opening your own business.
This is a great place for learning and growing. If you ever have questions don’t hesitate to ask. There is always someone here who can help guide you.
Welcome to the forum! I’m Bry, one of the moderators and an Eclectic Witch. Thank you for sharing your introduction, it’s very nice to meet you
You’ve got your first post looking beautiful and in the Introductions category where it belongs - you’re doing awesome! Like with all new things and spaces, the forum has a learning curve, but it seems to me like you’ve already got the hang of it. If there’s something you’re not sure about, we’ve got some handy Forum How-To Guides that can help out. There’s also a nifty Forum Tutorial to run through the basic features and how to use them.
And if you have any questions, you’re always welcome to reach out! The coven community is a very friendly and supportive one. We’re blessed to have you here
I began studying Wicca in 1990, but had my own ideas ever since the age of 7. I consider myself a chaote. Always studying to learn other ideas, so I’m eager to learn from you, too!
Feel free to join in any conversation which interests you.
How wonderful to meet someone else from Bristol! Nordic Witchcraft sounds so interesting—I love hearing about different paths and how they weave together. A mix-and-match approach can be such a beautiful way to practice!
This coven already feels so warm and welcoming. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you better too. Blessings to you!
Thank you for the warm welcome! It’s lovely to meet you too. I completely agree—it feels like such a blessing to find a space like this where everyone is so kind and supportive.
I’m excited to get to know you as well and hear about your journey. Southern West Virginia sounds beautiful—I’d love to learn more about what inspires your practice over there!
Just a couple of tips. If you would like to skip over the 5 minute time restriction and have several people to talk to, put them all in one post.
To let people know you are talking to them, use an @. For example, @amanda75. This also causes an email to be sent to them. A list of people will pop up so you don’t have to type out the whole name. If the person isn’t listen, type the first letter and watch the list change.
When you highlight part of their post and tap quote in the drop down list of things to do, the forum alerts the person being quoted, as well.
Thank you so much for the kind welcome and support—it means a lot! Wow, 35+ years of experience is amazing. Chaos magick, voodoo, and divination must give you such a deep and unique perspective on the craft.
I’m really excited to be part of this community and to learn and grow with everyone here. I’ll definitely keep your offer in mind if I have questions—it’s so comforting to know there’s always guidance available here.
My name is Kat, and I’ve been practicing the craft for over 30 years. My practice is rooted in a blend of nature magick, green magick, and elements of hedgecraft. I work closely with the natural world, drawing inspiration from plant spirits, animal spirits, and liminal spaces. My interests include herbalism, gardening, and divinatory practices like tarot, throwing bones, and Lenormand.
There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!
We’re glad to have you here. Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!
Unfortunately I’m disabled so I’m unable to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. I live near the New River Gorge which would be awesome for Earth and Water workings but yeah, can’t get out there.
Not that you’d catch me rafting on any day of the year even if I was able but I’d love to find a place where the river was slow and visit. LOL! Really slow.
Yeah, I’m kinda a chicken. If I wanted to be spun around like that in water I’d find a big washing machine instead.
Hi @amanda75 well let me tell you, you nailed that on your first try I’ve been here for a while now and you honestly will not find one that is more supportive, kind, beautiful, & knowledgeable
