I second this because it’s exactly what I would do while keeping Candle Safety 
in mind. So I have my candleholders inside of votive holders that wind up being wider & taller than the chime candle holders or I have the holder on a bread plate on my altar.
I honestly can’t remember the last time I cast a circle either 
so please also keep that in mind. It’s not a regular part of my practice.
