Hi @Samantha-Eclectic,

We can definitely all take a look at the wood! It looks like the photo didn’t upload yet, but no worries! If you’re not sure how to upload photos, there is a step-by-step guide with assistance here: How to Add Pictures to Posts :camera_flash: All the Ways

Looking forward to seeing your treasure :wood: :sparkles:

Blessed be!

@Samantha-Eclectic – yes, the photos are up now! As for an answer to your question, I’m afraid I’m not sure  I hope you get an answer, though!

:joy: thank you for responding though, I think I thought the wood would have been darker for some reason.

I can see the photos too- thanks for sharing them, @Samantha-Eclectic! :grinning:

I’m not overly familiar with Rowan wood, but I ran a search on Rowan tree bark to see how it compares.

Rowan bark has a neat feature of these little horizontal lines- they almost look like little stretched out polka dots. The Tree Guide UK site has some details about identification, including this note about the bark:

The bark has horizontal lines of ‘lenticels’ which are breathing pores.

From Tree Guide UK: Common Rowan Tree Identification

Like you mentioned, all of the pictures of Rowan trees I’m seeing are much darker in color- from gray to brown. Maybe it’s just the photo, but this wood appears much more green than a standard Rowan would look.

Again, I’m not an expert on tree identification, so these are just my thoughts! No matter what the wood is, it looks like a really lovely piece- perfect for carving :wand_tarot: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Are you perhaps planning to carve it into a wand (or other tool)? If so, I hope it serves you well and helps you with your manifestation!

Blessed be :sparkles:

Thank you so much  I have messaged the people I bought it from online, so we’ll see. Of all the tree barks I’ve seen, it certainly doesn’t look like Rowan to me, but hey, I’m no specialist either. I’ll keep you posted :+1:

Blessed Be :sparkles:

All I can say is my hands have never ached so much from the whittling :joy::sparkles::magic_wand:

I can imagine :joy: my hands ache from just garden work or too much crochet!

I don’t doubt it! But all the hard work makes the end result that much more treasured- nothing beats things made by hand and with heart!
