Runes introduction for my BOS - Suggestions Welcome :)

Thankyou @Mystique :green_heart:

OK had a brief look at it. I’m in the middle of a rune course, how ironic.:grin: It’s very nice. Depending on your target audience will depend on the information you put in your guide.

If it’s a neopagan audience this is wonderful, however if your audience is for the Heathens/Nordic practitioners then it gets a little tricky. There’s alot of traditionists and they are sticklers for rules. Things like bind runes, divination spreads (as opposed to just casting) , astrological references, herbal and other correspondences, reversals are modern additions and not all Heathens agree on these. :person_shrugging: (if we agree on anything it’s a miracle ).

The casting cloth is a lovely addition, I like your design, again it would suit a neopagan audience but Heathens/Nordic practioners just use a plain white cloth, or they’ll use references to the 9 worlds and Yggdrasil.

I think you’ve done an amazing job, well done. If you want to remake another guide for a more Nordic Heathen audience here’s a few links, but this one would suit a modern audience that has a background in wicca or tarot and who knows, from reading your guide they may want to explore deeper with the runes.

If you plan to use Galdr you may enjoy this.

Runes Of Odin

It goes without saying that you need to know the gods to work with their runes, that’s the energy you’re pulling in. This post has most of what you need. Or buy a Neil Gaiman book
