Self-love affirmations

Hello all! I know I’ve been MIA a little bit but have had a lot going on here in my little corner of the world. Work is crazy and Texas is deciding to throw some crazy weather at us. We had a tornado all the way down here in Houston!! I can’t remember the last time one formed here. It missed us by about a mile but was still really scary in an RV. My hubby jokes it is because we live in an RV RESORT and not an RV PARK lol.

Anywho, I wanted to share my shadow work prompt today. I have been using a shadow work journal I found in Amazon and love it each day, I open it randomly to a page and complete the journaling for that prompt.

Today’s was to write 20 self-love affirmations. I need this one today! Here are my 20. What are some of your self-love affirmations?

  1. I love myself just as I am today.
  2. I am grateful to be the person I am.
  3. I accept my awesomeness.
  4. I am releasing all negative emotions from my system.
  5. I deserve a peaceful and loving life.
  6. I deserve happiness and joy.
  7. I am reclaiming my power.
  8. I am a positive person who attracts positive things in my life.
  9. I choose to feel peaceful.
  10. Good things continually happen to me.
  11. I am worthy of good things.
  12. I am accepting myself unconditionally.
  13. I am proud of myself.
  14. I am at home in my body.
  15. I listen with love to my body’s messages.
  16. I am capable.
  17. My life is a blessing.
  18. My self-care is worth making time for everyday.
  19. I am safe and protected.
  20. I honor my life.

I’m glad to help! I’m trying to make my Self-Care more of a priority. I’m working on printing these and going to put them in random places around my home.

Wonderful affirmations my dear! I don’t remember all of mine when I was doing them but I do remember one. The Goddess loves you just the way you are. I always liked that one.

Thank you for the link! I’ve been wanting to do some shadow work, but honestly, I feel like I need the prompts to do it or else I just blank out. So I’m excited to check it out!

And I love your affirmations

Also, I’m so glad you’re safe! That sounds awful, especially in an RV!

If you are on Facebook, there is a group I love. She’s on TikTok too. But in this group, she posts a daily prompt to journal on. Sometimes it’s just a task.

Today’s prompt was:
When you look in the mirror or think about yourself what kind of person do you see? What things do you tell yourself while looking in the mirror?

@Amaris_Bane I love these so much. I have some on sticky notes around the house, they are all worded You for a few reasons, one of which is my new live of the first time in my life that I have been safe and I sort of didn’t want my husband and ‘free with purchase’ kids to know how weak I felt
One that I tried to tell myself everyday, without a sticky was
You deserve this baby. I read it in an article meant for rainbow moms. My son, who is also a surviving twin of not only a rainbow because he came after a miscarriage but also after the trauma of having lost my entire life. Now I frequently tell myself l You deserve him even though I don’t always believe it. Some of my regular ones are

Safe is good

It’s okay to be happy

Love

One block at a time

You went through a lot of bullshit to get those scars, don’t go through more trying to cover them

Push out the bad to make room for the good

Yes you can

The more you embrace the good, the less you will feel the bad

My son put a sticky on the bathroom mirror 2 years ago that somehow has stayed “Hope is something that you give yourself. It is called inner strength”

And his friend put a sticky up high that says " Stay safe, eat cake! " It always makes me laugh

I love these! I am a SA survivor and it took me a long time to be comfortable with my husband. He was patient and never pushed anything. That is where the “I am safe and protected” comes from.

I love this! I have several friends who are step-parents. I’m going to share this with them for a laugh!

This made me laugh!! I have a sign that says “The more you weigh, the harder you are to kidnap. Stay safe, eat cake.”

These are amazing! I accept my awesomeness is my favorite! I think that is going in my planner for the week!

I’m glad you’re safe! I’m glad you popped in! I know a thing or two about work being crazy! It’s crunch time in the school system… testing season is almost upon us and everyone, including the kids, gets a little neurotic. Oy! On top of that, I am almost 2/3 of the way finished with my Dyslexia Endorsement. My bestie is taking the same class, but with a different professor and she gets assignments like “Describe your dream literacy program” and I get assignments like “Use this data set and develop an 8 week program of remediation, cite 3 outside sources, include a timeline and budget, and at least 2 assessments”. I’m a little salty about the work I have to do versus the work she has to do for the same endorsement. I’m working my tail off over here!

Thank you!!

I can only imagine how crazy it is right now in schools. Thank you for putting up with the crazy and being an amazing teacher!

Look at it this way, you’ll be more prepared. I’ve had similar courses when I was in grad school. I realized that they push to make sure you are prepared for what comes after. While it may seem hard, your assignment is what you will likely be doing in the real world! You are building a program from the ground up and making sure it’s sound with research. It will make you a better teacher at the end. Good luck!

These are awesome affirmations, @Amaris_Bane- I might borrow some of these for part of a meditation later. Thank you for sharing them :pray:

If I can add in a few of my favorite affirmations that I bring out as needed:

  • It is okay to just be
  • Hold the stress, then let it go. It’s okay to release it.
  • I am protected and being watched over
  • It’s okay to not do anything today
  • I don’t need to be anyone else, I am the perfect version of me
  • I am so lucky and so grateful for the blessings in my life
  • Right now, in this moment, nothing bad can touch me. I am safe.
  • I love and am loved in return

This discussion is a great boost of positivity- thanks again for sharing it!:hugs:

This is my mantra for this year! TO JUST BE! To sink into the essentials, the fundamentals, to get back to the simple things that bring me so much joy while also learning new ways “to just be.” Thank you for this affirmation my friend!
