My daughter is in her second year at college and really struggled this semester. She takes a full course load, has to maintain a 3.5 minimum GPA for scholarship and has ADHD. She works very hard, but today she had 3 finals and she had a meltdown. Next semester she has some very hard classes and I asked her if she would like for me to make her some things to help her with concentration, focus, energy, etc. She said she would love and appreciate that.
I have looked at some of the spells and things and I know that I want to get her a citrine and carnelian crystal, possibly jewelry. She loves herbal teas and essential oils. Can you guys suggest some herbs or oils? Any recipe that you think would be helpful would be great! She also asked if there was a spell that would help her, and I have bookmarked a few (Spells for Success, Spells to pass a Test and Good Luck spells).
My heart goes out to your daughter - that is a lot for anyone to handle! It sounds like it is very busy school year for her.
For crystals, I second your idea of the carnelian. Carnelian is my personal favorite crystal to use for boosting creativity and motivation. Aquamarine can also help with focus, in a slightly cooler and calmer way than the blood-pumping carnelian does:
For teas, I’d recommend blends that contain caffeine (as long as she is okay with drinking caffeinated beverages). Combining a nice black tea with a meditation ritual is a great way to pull yourself into the moment and increase focus.
In case candle spells are an option, I really like this one that uses a red candle to boost motivation and increase energy:
I’d also like to put another, slightly different approach, on the table for you. Sometimes the best way to regain focus during times of stress and overload is to actually step away from it completely. Seems a little counterintuitive, but it’s all part of the balance. The moon cannot be full every night of the month - she needs to be a New Moon just as often as a Full Moon
There are some great spells, recipes, and ingredients associated with rest, burnout recovery, and rejuvenation. I’d suggest adding some of those into any collection to help her recover and get back to her school work feeling refreshed and reenergized
Whatever you and she choose to do, I’m wishing you both all the best! I hope she enjoys the rest of her classes and that she can finish the semester strong.
