Thank you, @DerBraucher! Looks like @Amethyst came to the rescue (thanks Kasie! ) The suggested format is exactly that- just a suggestion or guideline! You are very welcome to write as much or as little as you like about whatever aspects of the book resonate (or didn’t resonate) with you :books:  Happy reading- hope you had a terrific Tuesday too! :raised_hands:

That’s so exciting you are enjoying your book so much, @Rowan! It sounds like it is a great resource. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Candle Magic for Beginners! :star_struck:

Ahhhh I admit reading has been a struggle for me lately- things have been pretty busy here with work and school! We’ve got a bit more than a week left in this session- I’ll try to dig deeper into Studies in Astrology over the next few days :open_book: :milky_way:

How is everyone elses’ reading coming along? Enjoying your books I hope?

Pretty good! I’m enjoying my book, even though I won’t use most of it. LOL. Still it’s got some great information. I’m looking forward to what you report on yours!

You’re welcome! I saved that down as a template so I can add stuff to that as I read.

I like my book, it’s got a lot of hoodoo practices in it. But there’s a mention of a different Wiccan Rede that I’m used to and I’m still trying to research it to see if I can find the whole thing. I think I may have to give up on googling and look through some of my books. We’ll see how that goes.

I have made it to the first 2 pages of the book from the reporters perspective of the author that was murdered. She was from Truro, MA which is the lower Cape & at least an hour away from me. I’m hoping to have some time today to really get into reading some more, but my time management skills seem to be waning & I have been really involved with the resin crafting & trying to find cabochons to learn wire wrapping. I’m going to the Stone Store in my town to try to find some nice stones that I can learn wrapping with.

I feel like I rambled too much, so I am going to go now.

Wow- it sounds fascinating! If Google doesn’t have what you’re searching for, then it must be somewhat secret (or rare) information. I hope you are able to learn more, Kasie! Enjoy

No worries about rambling, Krissie! It’s fun to hear what you are up to :+1: I hope you enjoy the Stone Store and have some time to dig deeper into your book- it really sounds interesting! :star_struck:

To tell the truth I think it’s something that this author wrote herself, which is why I’m going to look through one of her other books. Still, it’s interesting!

I didn’t make it there yesterday @BryWisteria , but I’m hoping to today. I also got some cabochon molds so I can make things to work with. I’m pretty excited about those coming. I got a box to keep my wires in & some totes for the resin working. The things were kind of spreading out across my kitchen. I have to keep them somewhat organized or I will go crazy.

I hope you find what it is that she wrote @Amethyst, that’s very interesting

Me too! It’s got to do with self defense and the Wiccan Rede. It makes sense but I only got a snippet of it, I want to read the whole thing, you know?

Oh no, I’d be so curious! I know exactly how you feel! Happy hunting!

That would make it a bit harder to find if it’s something she created… but self defense sounds really neat- I hope you’re able to learn more about it!

You’ve got so many fun crafts and projects going on, Krissie :star_struck: I hope you had fun if you were able to make it the stone shop. Enjoy!

I made it to the Stone Store & left with 3 pairs of earrings and about 5 or 6 stones to learn how to wire wrap. Then I forgot, I got a rock tumbler! & once they are tumbled I can wire wrap those stones too! It will be tiger’s eye, aventurine, hematite, jasper(s), rose quartz, or clear quartz.

Once my husband builds my craft room I will be able to put the tumbler down there & just let it go for the length of time that it needs to be tumbled. It’s kind of loud to have on while you sleep, so I turned it off last night when I went to bed & then back on this morning when I woke up.

I always wanted a rock tumbler as a kid. That’s neat!

I have a smaller one that I got for Peanut, because ya know… mini me… what’s mine is hers  but we put it… somewhere safe & it was tough to work with after the first time so I got a better 1 that she helps me with doing. She does most of it & I kind of supervise. So some of the stones will go to her but the bulk of them will be for wire wrapping.

Very cool. I wish y’all luck with them. How long does it take to polish them?

They get polished in the tumbler, with a foam & gentle grit. So you leave them in there with a couple drops of mineral oil in the tumbler & they get buffed and polished. Right now they are on the 1st grit that takes down the rough edges & smooths them out. There are 4 stages of tumbling. Each one about a week. So it takes about a month for the final product to be done right.
