Spider symbolism

While sitting in the grass enjoying my coffee, I had a daddy long legs crawl over me. Two questions came to mind. My friend only had 4 legs, so I wondered how many he had lost. After some research, I discovered he has lost 4 legs (poor little spider has a hard life). I also learned that this spider does not have venom or the ability to spin silk. My second question is what do spider visits symbolize. This spiders visit matches my intention to be curious today perfectly.

Cute. :spider::spider::spider::spider: Spiders take over my house, I get nests , for me, it represents Loki, Spider God, but it’s a good omen, even if I’m left running around the house screaming

I absolutely love spiders! I could sit and watch them spin webs all day. I think they are so fascinating and make some of the most beautiful art work.

I’ve always wondered- aren’t you afraid they’ll get in your mouth?

This reminds me of the interesting video Tracy shared a while back about spiders and their connection with Loki. I’ll link it here in case anyone who hasn’t already seen it is interested:

It sounds like he’s had tough time of things - he was lucky to find such a nice friend in you on his journey! :spider: :sparkles:

Hello!

Daddy long legs have the super power to throw their legs for creating diversion if they are attacked by a predator. The leg will continue to move for a few seconds, just giving a moment to the Daddy to run away!

I’m wondering too what is the symbolism of spiders. I am a spider lover, it’s my passion, I have many tarantulas and spiders in terrariums (don’t worry, they are pampered!) and it looks like they are « my animal ». They come naturally to me, as if they knew they will be secure in my hands or in my house.

I heard the symbolism of a spider is the female part, hard work, taking care of others, creativity. What is your opinion on this?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Blessed be❤️

I’ve heard they symbolize dreams and weaving. I remember dreams of being trapped in spider webbing, so transformation, too? Definitely warning of traps. Their webbing is stronger than steel at the same thinness. Spiders are quintessential vampires. With so many eyes, nothing gets past them! Not to mention black widows are the first feminists! I try to honor all these superpowers.
