This kind of says it…you know the saying…a house rests on the woman…
Well, I need to release that pressure. I am not the only one who lives here, so the running of the home, physical and emotional, does NOT rest completely on my shoulders. Some one else can DO something!
The Devil is about desire and temptation (and other things). I need to cool my jets and not be flitting from the current fads or attractions that burn up my energy.
The answer is YES. I have realized and accepted (this month) that my marriage is over. I am only waiting for my Daughter-in-law’s VISA to come through, so she can be here. I need to keep this address since my son lives here. Cannot go changing it with her VISA application still “received”, since November 2024 and still waiting for the approval. After she gets here and she and son decide where they will live; then “here come the judge” (Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, 1968-1973). Haven’t said squat to husband since July 8…only so much a person can handle!!! Ane you know what??? I am feeling GREAT!!! I did not realize how much stress this marriage was causing me.

I need to enthusiastically give my thanks, blessings and gratitude to any and all Veterans I meet.
I do not like the military (kind of obvious “mom” reasons), but both my boys were in the Army. My oldest was part of the group that caught Saddam Hussein in Dec 2003. My oldest had just turned 21.
Well… a soldier (Knight of Wands) to recognize/thank soldiers! Very symbolic for me (a long time vet). The keywords say to be bold, look forward and do what is necessary.
The actual action is ongoing and not only for today. Early on we participated in all the organizations but recently we’ve settled on donating as a way to help. Almost all our long term friends are connected in some way to the military - it is a family. We know others from Australia, India, Germany, Singapore, Jordan, Israel, Canada, UK, etc.
Reflection: An interesting question to come up,.. Today is Purple Heart day. Two members of my family earned one. I was shot at a bit but nothing came close. I think I will meditate on my brother.
Before I start, the 5 Swords always reminds me of Dennis the Menace, just creating problems, kinda for the He** of it. My beginner deck gave abusive relationship for this card, which seems to fit, quite well.
I need to trust myself and my intuition and follow my heart (no, new man in my picture, my heart, as in my fulfillment/self) to rid myself of this abusive (mentally) relationship.
This is telling me with the Knight of Cups in the middle, that everything will turn out okay, if I stick to what my intuition is telling me.
7 of P indicates patience, long term growth, delayed gratification, etc.
This is saying the seed is in the ground and sprouting but I need to be patient for a while longer. The fruition of my shadow efforts is coming… just not today.
As I started this pull this morning, I was a little weird about the question. How should I rest/relax today? My first thought was…hey, ME time…little pub down the street, some solo pool game, little tarot cards, little reading my book, and maybe some bar food…I’m always a sucker for bar food, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, chips and salsa, hell, just fries…finger-bar food…don’t know why, but I always love it.
Anyway, a little disclaimerbefore I pull. Okay, gonna hold this open and do my draw now…back in a few…
Well, I pulled, and this does not make sense for rest/relaxation today. I will post it here, and if anyone wants to offer an interpretation, please…my eyes are wide open.
It was accidental! I didn’t see yours when I first started. However, the 2 of W keywords can be very versatile. I glomed on to the micro-adventure one. It seemed like a fun way to do the reading.
I had a hard time with this…release…why should I let-go of these good qualities?
Then I figured it out, not let-go, more like let-loose, to use. Let go as in showing and using it not stifling it.
So, I came up with this. Mod/Subj/Mod
Whatever celebrations come up in the group, do not lose strength or courage. Use the strength and courage I have to bolster whatever celebration will be happening. I need to support and be the rock for whomever will need my encouragement today.
I’m realizing that I’m carrying too much in my journey through life. I need to trim and move on. This is another example of something we probably all acquire, maybe without thinking about it. Relationships that aren’t productive (hundreds of “friends” who are anything but), conspicuous consumption of junk that is no longer useful, desires that aren’t realistic, etc.
I thought this would be an interesting question. I have never considered myself, nor anyone I have known as being a co-dependent person. This is the answer I have come up with for these cards and this question.
With the Hierophant reversed, it is telling me the person should listen to what their inner-beliefs are, and see if the situation is aligned with that. Then maintain their hope and courage by allowing an end to what is happening to allow for a new situation to arise.
This sounds too trite, but I cannot really read it any other way. This is what I would tell myself, but it is always so much easier to “talk” than to “walk”. So, I am not really sure if this is the proper read for this situation.
Wow… Three cards that explain what happens when co-dependence goes bad (there are cases that are maybe iffy but not “bad”). I love the pictures since they visually describe, without keywords, the nightmare that can happen.
Helping someone with co-dependence is not easy. There are volumes written about it - and lots of literature and fictional stories that describe scenarios from abuse to sex trafficking to violence when police try to break up a domestic dispute - violence against the police when they try to help the abused who turns against them.
Tough scenario and in the bad cases, professional help is needed… support from friends is good but often is not the cure. Like all addictions, admitting it is happening is the first step.
