Exactly what I had always surmised co-dependency was.
Lady Gene
Personal note–those who have been following my narrative this past year, I almost fell into a close resemblance to this, but thank the goddesses that I knew better, way back somewhere in my head.
This looks pretty easy. This is how I am not dealing with my tangibles (surroundings), so I guess, if I get a handle on this I will feel much better “youthful/new”.
In order to release myself from the home I have become trapped in (Devil), I need to re-evaluate my priorities here at home and stop sharing (withhold) for today and be a little selfish, to and for me.
So, to state in one sentence: I need to review the deception that has been going on in my life, use my power to magickally bring about needed changes. I realize that I am emotionally dependable, so that I am able to release myself from the physical trapping of my life and will be able to move forward now that I am seeing beyond the illusion. The end result is that I will be able to enjoy what I have in life, and enjoy the fruits of my labor. I will not be missing out. No chance of FOMO here!!
That might be a problem. When I was young and immortal, I grabbed a pile of dust, and holding it up, foolishly asked for as many years as the grains of dust. I forgot to ask that they be years of youth. ~ Ovid, Metamorphosis (mostly)
The first part is dark - the physical aspect of feeling new and youthful is a ship that has sailed . Deal with it.
The second part is light - I swear that my mind gets younger at times. I had a delightful conversation with a young RN yesterday and it verified that age is an attitude. We were both laughing and realizing we felt the same way about many things - we were just years apart physically. He supported some of my thoughts with how he was a approaching life. I used my Tom Brady quote on him: “When life hands you the football upside down, rip the seams” - meaning be proactive - don’t be a victim. And he understood it and restated it immediately.
Two of cups: Union • Harmony • Mutual Recognition • Emotional Exchange
My strength is my partnership. We have faced challenges for years and haven’t plotted the demise of each other once.
The image is Njord & Skadi’s Pact which didn’t work out well but they were amicable. She was cold, he had fish breath. Loki was involved so weird stuff happened.
I am able to retain the good memories of the past and realize that this part of my life has come to completion; and that I have the ability to change and influence the future of my life.
Interesting…6’s-relationships to others and swords, the mind.
Sounds like my weakness is in my mind and with my relationship with others.
It seems to be telling me that my weakness is worrying too much about other people’s drama. My weakness is thinking that I need recognition and/or validation for what I do; when I really to be strong (not weakness) in willfully leaving all this drama behind.
Page of Coins (Pentacles). Remember I am only an apprentice in many things.
My weakness is not realizing I am still learning many things and maturity does not mean universal knowledge. There are still many actions I need to consider carefully or seek guidance for before stepping off the cliff.
This tells me that my strength is in my ability to balance my emotional and spiritual side with my material and rational side. Patience, moderation and the blending of these different aspects of my life gives me the support I need to navigate through life with grace, adaptability and a sense of equilibrium.
I believe if you wasn’t taking control you wouldn’t have to be on the defense. So Lady Gene in order to take control you have to defend who you are! You got this!!
I guess my intuition is back-firing a little bit. I need to stop living in the past (oh, how nice it used to be…remember when…) and purposefully move forward with my life.
oops. I think Navajo Code Talker day is the 14th of August. Still worthy of remembering. The only code never broken in modern history is the claim although that might be an exaggeration (there were other codes that weren’t broken).. It was used extensively in the Pacific during WWII. They say there were over 80 transmissions that were used on the first day of Iwo Jima.
“Kʼéshjį́” is Navajo for Death although the word wasn’t part of the Code Talker dictionary. If they had been challenged to say it, they may have used “Chindi” which is “evil spirit”
Death is the card of significant pruning leaving me the ability to restart. it is all about cutting away the dross so there is room to bloom. I can be clearer in my communication by not mincing words (and maybe not including a history of Code Talking )
I had to get some help from Co-Pilot with this - I kind of got stuck in the conventional/traditional/rigid side of the Hierophant.
But Co-Pilot helped me figure out that in this case I can be clear in my communication by speaking plainly, from a place of inner alignment and shared language, so my message lands cleanly instead of getting tangled in emotion, improvisation, or over‑explanation (which is something I have a bad tendency to do)
Hmmmm… this is one of those ones where I find it hard to see how a positive card reconciles with a negative sort of question.
The Queen of Pentacles is about being in the role of caregiver and provider, to myself and others. And I’m having a hard time seeing how that might be a weakness…
…Unless there’s a tendency to give too much of myself in supporting someone else, thereby leaving nothing for myself…?
made me giggle…my degree is in history, so hearing this was right-up-my-alley
Greenbriar,
clear communication with this card I see as not falling to using platitudes. Your Queen of Pentacles, I absolutely agree with, you were able to turn the positive in a way to fit the question, I saw it the same way, too.

PS–we had rain the last couple days, it was actually cool this morning [for us, 75 in the summer morning is a little chilly ]
