Year End Purification
We are now halfway through the 12 Days/Nights of Yule. Looking back, the previous days have been dedicated to time in solitude, time with closest family, time for gifts and appreciation, and then time for the home and dwelling space. The focus has shifted from the past into the present, and we are now ready to look ahead.
The seventh day begins the process of shedding the old year so we are ready for the new. And you don’t want to bring dust, grime, and baggage into the new year - leave the past in the past, and make way for new blessings! It’s time to cleanse the space so we can start fresh

Winter Cleansing - Home, Altar, Etc.
When it comes to cleansing, everything is fair game. A good place to start is with the places you spend the most time. Consider combining mundane cleaning methods with spiritual cleansings to do a good clean of your sacred space, altar, bedroom, living room, and extend into the rest of your dwelling. Consider respectfully disposing of any old offerings, dusting off the space and figurines, carefully cleaning and charging any crystals in use, and refreshing items such as spell jars or talismans.
You might consider donating unwanted clothes, blankets, food, etc to charities or shelters.
Spiritual Cleanse of the Self
Cleansing the space you live in is beneficial, but don’t forget your more immediate dwelling and sacred space - yourself! As part of your end-of-the-ear tidying, consider showing some love and care to yourself. This might involve a spiritual bath or shower, self purification rituals, or a deep meditation.
Want to celebrate? Here are a few spells and other ways to honor the energies of the day.
