Thanks, Bry!

Also thanks to @MeganB for the newsletter,

That is a lot of work - you folks rock!

I’ve been up most of the night so I got a little giddy and did the divination thing as a group of three all related. The actual questions and draws were legitimate so all was pleasingly related and real. So… Tarot, Lenormand and Runes are celebrating the season in my readings.

I’m still rushing around doing shopping. I hope you all are in better shape. I gotta go out in a few and raid the stores one more time.

We don’t have snow (and we won’t have until well after Christmas it seems). So it is a dead grass Christmas. Otherwise it is shaping up as a good one. Best to all of you and yours for these holidays!

Congrats to @dan3 and @Greenbriar for the shout-outs! And special congrats to @Greenbriar for earning the new badge! You both rock!

I hope everyone had a lovely Yule!

I’m going to be busy in my kitchen this week. :woman_cook: Some last minute holiday goodies have to be prepared, including an apple pie with Granny Smith apples. :green_apple: So tart and yummy! :face_savoring_food:

I did get both of my knees injected at the orthopedic’s office last week, but this non-steroidal stuff takes a full 3 weeks to kick in, unfortunately. So I’m still moving slowly in the mornings but at least it’s done.

These cards are adorable! But get some rest soon or you’ll fall asleep in the eggnog! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

We’ve had quite a bit of snow, but fortunately our temperatures have risen enough to allow for both rain and sun, so most of it’s gone. Yay!

But I prefer to call this a Green Christmas, not a dead grass Christmas.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Congrats on getting it done. Now to cross fingers it works well. Chronic pain is tough.

Thank you. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Yes, chronic pain calls on a person to develop resilience whether they want to or not!

Congratulations! Great work!

Hear here! Yay!

I remember a lightbulb commercial similar to this subject!

I received a Christmas present, this morning. My patio is fenced off from the public sidewalk with a 6 foot tall wire grill, yet someone decided to throw their luggage into my patio space! I don’t want to break my weatherizing seal on my balcony door to go get it. Who wants to bet it’s a million dollars stolen from a local bank?!? :winking_face_with_tongue: It all happened so fast that even Albus didn’t have time to react. I called the office for advice, but there is none to be had. I’ll have to take down the tree decor to get to the door, so I guess I’d better get a pic of it before it’s gone.

Oh wow - thank you! And Congratulations on your shout out too, @dan3. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and being such a great addition to the forum.

And I agree with @dan3 - thank you @MeganB for the newsletters. A lot of work goes into them and with your studies now, it can’t be easy!

And finally, thank you @BryWisteria for the 12 Nights of Yule posts. They are very much appreciated!

Thank you! I think I got the most posts this time because I had three areas I was yakking on. I was somewhat surprised I got it since I wasn’t posting much except for Introductions and those three areas (Mostly - but I had to thank @Ostara a few times - her memes are great). It’s gone down to two so others will have a chance.

Congratulations on the shoutouts and thank you for sharing so much of your love @Greenbriar and wisdom @dan3 with the group!

:tada: Congratulations @Greenbriar on the special badge!!! :tada:

It’s been a whirlwind of activity paired with pain, keeping me from sleeping well. Newt had his eye surgery (ended up needing both eyes done again) on Thursday, which rolled into non-stop Friday, getting my jewelry inventory and supplies ready to sell at the work Christmas cookie exchange / White elephant party on Saturday. Then back to work on Sunday. Monday morning started chaotically, with a nauseous-since-his-surgery-Newt expelling the vet wrap/coban wrap they put on his leg after his procedure, which he apparently ate during recovery (and they never noticed). Extremely lucky that it was still in his stomach 4 days later and not stuck somewhere lower that would have been disastrous. Then I headed to the shelter and took care of 2/3 of the 50-odd feline residents in the adoption wing (as well as walked two and a half miles in the same space ) Phew…

This week, I have a dental cleaning scheduled for tomorrow, then I’ll be picking up smoked brisket for Christmas dinner, and I’m working on fulfilling orders that I took at the work event. Not quite the lazy week it usually is, but it won’t be as stressful as holidays past.

Wishing everyone a great start to their week and a wonderful holiday if you choose to celebrate!

Our pets can get into the darndest trouble. One of ours walked into the house from the woods with a box of rat poison in his mouth. It was a Sunday so we had to drive 30 miles to an emergency clinic. $350 dollars later it was determine he hadn’t swallowed any.

@Greenbriar BTW: Congrats on your new badge! I was zoning out and didn’t pick up on it. Well done!

No bet… ya gotta get it open if nothing more than for curiosity. Mine is peaked!

:face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: OMG!! Naughty Newt, and naughty recovery room peeps! I know you’re grateful he expelled it without incident, but…! grrr… I’m glad he’s doing okay!

Sorry you’re still in pain - I’d say REST but it doesn’t sound like that’s happening anytime soon. I hope you fall into your bed tonight and catch some needed zzzz’s!

eeek! Well, I’m curious to see what’s going with this, too! If it’s something…nefarious, then the thrower of said luggage is probably not banging on the office’s door to get it back. Weirdness!

Congratulations @dan3 and @Greenbriar! You’re both awesome, but I have to say, @Greenbriar getting a special badge makes her a wee bit more awesome. LOL!

Three cheers for @MeganB! Keeping up with her RL, classes, and our craziness! Way to go! And many thanks to @BryWisteria for keeping us in line with these posts each week! Y’all rock!

Good luck with that! I only came home from the doctor, and people were driving nuts, and all the parking lots seemed overflowing. I hope you don’t get stomped on while you’re out!

Ooh! That sounds good! Good luck with it, I hope it comes out well!

At least you know it’ll be getting better? Right?

Wow. I’d almost be tempted to set up a camera and see if anyone tries to get in and pick it up. That seems like the plot of a Christmas movie!

Goodness! That has me tired just reading it! And I’m glad Newt’s okay, despite having coban for breakfast.

Get some rest if you can! Winter is supposed to be a season of rest and reflection, and hibernation.

I had fun last Friday. My leg was hurting and a bit red. The nurse the day before had wrapped it a bit too tightly but I still went like a good girl to the ER. Was there to see the doc for two hours and leg to with an antibiotic.

Waited for 3 and 1/2 hours for my ride. I finally made it home in an SUV that was taller than I am. I about had to jump into the front seat, which, if you saw me, you’d know that jumping has never been something I was good at.

But I saw my regular doctor today, and I’m fine! So all is well. Tomorrow, Sally is making me lasagna for Yule, which I’m really looking forward to. I love it, but it’s so expensive to make, that is if you use a lot of cheese, which I do.

After Christmas is going to be busy again, though. I found out we’re probably going to be having an apartment inspection in January. And my bedroom and closet look like a tornado hit it and a hurricane followed after. So yeah, fun.

But hey, at least I have a bit of a warning!

Hope everyone had a good Solstice, and a magical Yuletide!

@Artemisia wow I’m tired just reading about your busy weekend!

Other than the vet wrap incident, how is Newt doing after his surgery? I hope it was successful.

We took Rusty back to the vet for a check up on Thursday. He had had an upper respiratory infection, with a runny nose. So I had to try and dose him with antibiotic every day for a week. That was an adventure, and one I don’t want to have to repeat. His follow up appointment showed improvements in all his blood work, so that’s all good.

However he does have a heart murmur, which the doctor told us about at the original visit a couple of weeks ago. I won’t go into details, but we opted not to shell out $700 for an echocardiogram, and we won’t be trying to medicate him twice daily for the rest of his life - that would just be too stressful for all of us.

We will love him and care for him for as long as he has left - hopefully a good few years. We will remain vigilent for any signs of trouble that she told us to be aware of. Hopefully when his time comes it will be peaceful, but if the worse happens and we need to take him in for immediate care, we have a plan of action.

In the meantime, he’s my little snuggle buddy, sleeping between the pillows at my shoulder every night.

I hope Rusty stays with you a bit longer, because I know how loved he is. I’m glad his infection is doing better too! Sending you all good vibes!

Merry Monday, everyone! :crescent_moon::sparkles:

I wanted to send a warm welcome to all of our new members this week — @kristen2, @tabi, @sarah10, @nicole2, @sheri4, @jennifer9, @alita, @shirley1, @laura1, @monica7, and @lysette! :purple_heart::herb: I’m so glad you’ve found your way here, and I hope this space feels as welcoming and grounding to you as it does to me.

A big shout-out to @dan3 for sharing so much wisdom this week, and congratulations to @Greenbriar for another heart-filled week — three weeks strong and a well-earned badge!:sparkles: Thank you both for helping keep this community generous, kind, and connected. And a big thank you to @MeganB and @BryWisteria for all you do for all of us, week in and week out! You rock!

As for me, I’m planning to keep showing up for my tarot, rune, and Lenormand draws, making time for self-care, and joining in on the group ritual and the Energy Exchange Circle — those practices really help me stay grounded and present. :herb::crystal_ball:

The holiday on the 25th will be a quiet and cozy one this year — just me and my daughter cooking dinner together, baking cookies, and enjoying some simple, sweet time at home. Honestly, it sounds perfect. :cookie::candle:

Wishing everyone a peaceful, gentle week and a warm holiday season, whatever it looks like for you.

Sending healing vibes to Rusty and Albus for speedy recoveries!

Blessed Be loves! :herb: :dizzy: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Congratulations @dan3 and @Greenbriar!

We are in the 80’s here in Texas so it’s time to bring out the shorts and tank tops again.

@Feathertip I’m happy you got your injections and I hope you feel better soon!

Lol, I watch to many true crime shows. I was thinking body parts!:scream:

That’s terrible @Artemisia. I’m happy Newt is okay!

I wonder if anyone videoed you with their phone? I’m glad your leg is better now.

My snuggle buddy sleeps on my chest every night and every once in a while she will slap me in my face while I’m sleeping! Maybe I snore?

That sounds like a wonderful way to spend the 25th!

Not much going on here. Still working on the witch room and have come to realize that it will always be a work in progress. It is really nice knowing where everything is though and the energy of the room is lighter now.

I hope everyone has a beautiful, magickal week!
