The beginning of another shopping spree

@MeganB and the paper is really nice and there are blank refills that are great for sketching. I bought my son a different style with blank pages and I was really surprised at the quality

I love the size and the thought of things being separate. I can’t wait to get more, especially one to replace my Tarot journal but I just made a purchase that might literally end up with the credit card being taken away

Oh boy @Nixi can’t wait to see what it is, lol.

@Nixi I believe :face_with_monocle: the 2nd image crystal could be a Calcite or maybe Selenite.

They are all beautiful & the cherry blossom incense holder is too cute

Wow, that is beautiful, Nixi- the details are really intricate! I like how the birds and leaves seem to merge together. It’s meditative to look at :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

May your lovely journal serve you well! :open_book: :two_hearts:

@Heav3n it’s actually a sensory support for my son but I might post it just the same because it’s really cool  It should be here tomorrow, I’m so excited

@Nixi Sensory support? What’s his sensitivity? My son’s ASD, he’s now 17. His is sound. When he was small, We had to take him cinema every week to desensitize him, I don’t know how many times I watched Toystory 1,2,3 etc :joy:. It’s hard raising special needs but it’s worth all the effort in the long run. Sorry to ramble. What are you getting to help? :sparkling_heart:

@tracyS @Heav3n
I held off getting him evaluated because I didn’t want him misdiagnosed. In this area there’s really only one place to go for testing and it’s a great support for ASD but there’s only one Dr there and ASD is pretty much the only diagnosis he gives so I wanted my little bundle of everything to grow into himself a bit.

He has a very intense personality, a slight developmental delay and is sensory seeking with a touch of sensory avoiding.

When he was little little he would press he head into the closest person or liked surface when any emotion was too much, now he’s a little more enthusiastic about it.

Actually he’s very enthusiastic about everything. He’s a 4 year old wrecking ball, we call him our little tornado. I have pretty much every sensory toy I could find, 2 excercise balls, a sensory pod swing, a trampoline and there’s a permanent pillow fort in the living room. My house is pretty much a sensory gym but he still bounces his head off of stuff when he’s overwhelmed.

I’ve been looking for something for pressure therapy with no luck and nothing I’ve tried helps. I’ve searched online at least a dozen times with nothing to show for it then last week I searched again and found Moon Pals, five pounds of huggable cuteness.

Moon Pals are weighed plush that kind of look like bunnies. Their big floppy ears are silky on one side and their body, legs and long arms are weighted to a total weight of 5 pounds. Hug them and drape their floppy arms over you and it feels like a big hug.

I was so excited that I didn’t pay any mind to them being called Moon Pals and I didn’t notice the markings on their paws. They each come with a book that is basically their creation story.

It starts with explaining that the light from the Moon isn’t just light but has magical powers and that Mother Moon is the key to life. Basically the Shadow King is jealous of Mother Moon and the joy she brings so he starts spreading his shadows across earth blocking out the stars and spreads his shadows over Mother Moon and Earth loses it’s light sending everyone into deep despair.

Mother Moon mixes stardust and all the energy she can give and the Moon Pals are born,
Mylo, Echo, Nova, Opal and Bo. Each one has its own special powers “Creative Opal followed, granted with hope and imagination”

Before sending them to earth she gives them each a drop of love as it’s her strongest Magical Moon Energy making their hearts, bellies glow. They go to earth and hug after hug they hug love and light back into all creatures and then they all together hug the Shadow King full him with love and he leaves and promises to never come back.

Instead going back, the Moon Pals decide to stay so they can hug the lonely and sadness from anyone who needs it. It might be my new favorite book

Aww it’s gorgeous. So lovely. @Nixi Just from one parent to another, and I don’t know how it works in America, it’s worth getting a diagnosis, as then you can target the right kind of help and support. It makes a difference for when they get older. Here, we go through our local doctor who then refers you to different specialists. Jude (my ASD son), when he was 3, (seems like years ago, he’s 17) was observed for 2 weeks whilst in nursery, and I was asked loads of questions about him. Then they finally came up with ASD touches of OCD and sound sensory. We were then able to get him doing the right kind of “play” to help him. It sounds like your son has traits of ASD/OCD. Is there a charity that can help? I dont know what your state has for services, whether you can go from one town to another within state, or outside of your state? Here in the UK, we can get help in other parts if we’re “pushy” enough as parents, though it’s getting harder. I’m rambling, sorry, I just get passionate about special needs, it’s not an easy path for both kids and parents. You are really amazing with everything you do, you know that, really amazing :sparkling_heart:

Both pictures are actually the same crystal, front and back. It’s supposedly Moonstone but I’m with you on maybe calcite, I haven’t thought of Selenite. I was going to take a closer look with that in mind but it is currently hiding

 yeah I want to say it’s a Calcite, the only reason I thought Selenite was the way it seems that if it chipped or broke it would be in like not blades but maybe sheets or flakes  my brain is melted :joy:

You’ve got some gorgeous stones! I believe that the pink crystal thats in the bottom photos is pink calcite. What did it saw it was supposed to be?
