I am sorry for the pain you have experienced over the years, but despite everything in your way it seems that you have emerged victorious and found pride in yourself. And you should be proud- you have many wonderful talents, especially for writing and for your spiritual practice 
The path of a healer/herbalist is a wonderful and blessed path to take. I think it reflects your warm heart- as someone who cares for others and is interested in the healing arts. Good for you- I am proud of you!
