I have had trouble with homemade incense like this before. You are not alone.
I probably have enough you could buy some! LOL!
Celineelise,
Aw I love these matches makes me want to get more into making my own incense.
I had to go buy a whole package of Bic lighters so I can light my incense. I like these matches so I can skip a step and not have to worry about finding a match.
I am lucky I dont have any allergies to smells but I do know some people like your self have sinus issues. I have gotten a little stuffed up once but it doesn’t happen to often. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful knowledge this was such a great challenge. I really loved every ones entries.
The sacred smoke is very evocative of the deeper world Cyndi Brannen would say!
The smoke rises to the top of the heavens and we try to dig deeper into its mysteries.
I am wondering why you like to use resin in your spell jars ?
It really depends on my mood theres so many ways to use incense. I also like using frankincense and really have not use myrrh to much!

Do you have lilac or amber? Pine would be good for Yule.
During air raids in WW2, people were told not to light more than two cigarettes on one match because plans could see them. I wouldn’t do well: I light 5 candles and a stick of incense on one match, though I do so in the morning rather than the dark of night. If a pilot can see a match, my candles would probably look like a bonfire to them!
I am so glad the link was helpful.
I use resin incense cause it is the most pure potent kind of inscense. I like to think that my offering for the jar to the universe / source for my spell is the best offering. And those flavors are the most high vibrational and protective.
And when I do burn inscense from resin on charcoal, it burns cleaner than ones that are made with a lot of chemicals
@celineelise
Jars are easy to use I like them too! I also use charcoal! In regards to frankincense you can tell that it is a good frankincense if it is clear. I believe if it’s clear the better it is is that correct?
Hers some of my collection from eBay I believe.

No amber, but I use lilac a lot in the Spring and I have pine and Forest and a couple of different Sandalwoods. A whole bunch! LOL !
I’ve found that pine and rose combine to make a nice amber substitute. Oh. Maybe I should have put this in the new challenge.
I’ll have to try that! Thanks!
Georgia,
Thank you I never thought about using a zip lock bag so you can see all of them thats a good idea. I am just running out of room with all my things! I like to keep them in the case still cause like you said they do get damaged.
I think ill try it your way and see how I like it right know this box is just to big for me. Thank you Georgia! I need to get a labeler!!
Jeannie
Try something like this? They are inexpensive and easy to find. I cut them to size with a regular pair of scissors and write with a pen or pencil. These are permanent, but they come in removeable, too. Sometimes they come unstuck from a zipper bag in a dusty environment, like when storing incense or herbs; so if I’m only using them to label, I’ll stick one inside the bag so it doesn’t get lost.
Georgia,
Thats right I do have that somewhere!!
Wish I new where it was !!
I know I am not %100 organized can you tell ??LOL
And I am not perfect either!!
I always change things up and try different things so tha’ts freakin hilarious!!
Jeannie
Yeah. I go through this quite often. That’s why I do Spring Cleaning 2-4 times a year, just to figure out what I have and where it is! It’s a good way to get ideas.
