I wasn’t sure what I was going to do this week so I stuck my hand in the candle box and saw what color I pulled out to get some inspiration. I pulled out a purple candle and got to thinking that I haven’t been consistent with my morning devotionals and this was a good time to use the Purple Candle Divine Light and Higher Consciousness Meditation. So that’s what I did!
I dress my purple candle in Psychic Intuition oil, and I just happened to pull the High Priestess card today so I put that out there. Then I lit the candle with this chant:
I light a purple candle for guidance and light, For awareness and wisdom in all of it’s might. Bring me consciousness and bring me positivity, And share with me your light as I go through my activities.

And then I did the lovely meditation. Not going to get into what I saw fully, but yeah, it was a good message. It was a really nice meditation.
Candles. Loki and I are in a little war over the candles at the moment.
I love them. I light them everyday, they cleanse the room, add magic to any spell, and as someone who does not cast circles, they act as my circles as they embody all the elements of earth (wax), fire (flame) air (smoke), water (drips) and spirit (the candle itself).
Loki believes I should simplify my practice and get to the point of it being just me, spirit and well me, no tools. He reminds me of Edna
But I’m keeping my candles. I love to add magical herbs to them and annoint them with holy oils. They are wonderful for embedding in spells and rituals that can be cast slowly over time. As a rule, new candles are either blessed with incense or buried in the earth before use.
You and Loki are so funny Tracy! I’m going to try something I have never done before on this challenge. It may take me until tomorrow night. It’s an experiment. If it works, I will show it, if it doesn’t work I will show it. Being a witch is all about learning (hopefully without fire trucks being involved)! Wish me luck!
I’m so talented. A few , minutes ago, I was dehydrating lemons in the microwave (experiment). I caught the damn things on fire because I put it on cook instead of defrost! My entire house smells like burnt lemons, and yes, hubby woke up and said “what in the f is that smell”. At the moment, and probably a few days from now, my house will smell like burnt lemons!

I love this as I sometimes make my own candles. I recently did a ritual to cleanse my home and took a video of the flame. Afterwards I felt the space was cleansed and all negative energy was no longer. The auras looked amazing. What do you all see?
This was an experiment, but it worked out pretty well. I usually use a candle warmer to make spell candles (less messy), but, I’m an unorganized witch and don’t know what I did with it. I melted the wax on the stove in a heatproof jar in boiling water. Worked great, but now comes the cleanup!
October is here, so I made a candle to honor my ancestors.
I melted white and black wax together to make a gray candle. I had a black taper candle that was broken, so I used that and the wax from 4 white tealights. It worked! The color gray is associated with contemplation, the spiritual, and binding negativity.
Herbs
Bay leaf to enhance psychic abilities
Wormwood summons the dead when burned
Rosemary for protection, memory and remembrance
Cedar for rebirth and regeneration
I ground the herbs into a powder so they wouldn’t catch fire and added them to the melted wax.
I added amethyst and purple glitter to the top of the candle. Purple is connected to the spiritual realm and psychic power.
My plan is to light the candle for a few minutes every day (never unattended) in October to honor my ancestors.

I used some dragons blood and did a prayer to Hecate and to Lord and Lady Virgo moon wanning! I pray for justice and archangel Michael also did a meditation for the promise land.
