Weekly witchy CHALLENGE – Light 'EM UP' (Challenge entry) Garnet

Weekly Witchy Challenge-Light em up! Challenge entry – Garnet

I want to combine my candle spell with the elements for who would be more familiar with fire, all the elements and of course the Devine.
Today I will use my travel altar, because there are times when you don’t have access to your formal altar.

As I sit at my desk.
I open the tin. I remove the satin square which will serve as my altar cloth. I unfold the cloth and spread it our smoothly.
And as I remove each symbolic instrument (some are bracelet charms) I bless them.

  • A compass because I can’t tell directions without it.
  • 5 Flat glass marbles painted to represent Goddess, God, N-S-E-W.
  • I place them in their correct position as suggested by Spells8.
  • A pentagram is next in the center of the altar
  • A shard of selenite is representative of a Wand.,
  • A mini sheathed knife is my athame
  • Incense matches to serve a duel purpose, incense and light the candle.
  • A glass of water with a pinch of salt near set near my ceremonial candle.
  • In this case I will use a smallish pillar candle caved with the sigils
  • for strength, power, healing and belief.
  • I set my intention, of the spell, of my mind and of my spirit.
    And so the rite begins:

Healing Candle Spell - 2022, Garnet

Casting the Circle

I will stand before my altar and bow.
With my eyes closed, I Concentrate on the power within.
As it grows, I will it into my hands. And it will come to me.
I Open my eyes, lift the unlit candle with both hands face East and Say:

Guardians of the watchtower of the East , I do summon, stir, & call you up to protect me in my rite. Breathe into me the spirit of the pure joy of life.”

Turn clockwise to face South. Say:
Guardians of the watchtower of the South, I do summon, stir, & call you up to protect me in my rite. Kindle within me the flame of spiritual awakening.”

Turn to face West. Say:
Guardians of the watchtower of the West , I do summon, stir, & call you up to protect me in my rite. Water my deepest roots that I may find peace of mind.”

Turn to face North. Say:
Guardians of the watchtower of the North, I do summon, stir, & call you up to protect me in my rite. Nourish me so that my hopes may grow to fruition.”

Raise both arms above your head and say:
I conceive this Circle as a place of contemplation & protection . Blessed by the God and Goddess. So mote it be!” Now light the candle with the incense match.
Put the match on a fireproof surface to burn out.
And the candle in its holder.
Say:

Magic is strength, power and will
Pour love in your heart until it is filled.
Now cast out to Goddess and ask what you need.
And if she will grant it, then so it will be.

With honor and honesty, I’ve made my intention
As to take our pain to another dimension
You’ve lit the candle, now watch its flame
Until the image is burned in your brain

As we have grown older, our bones aren’t so strong.
They ache and they’ve hurt for way too long
So I created this chant with Devine and Elemental help
That healing energy will soar over us like a great warm belt.

I am armed and call forth a need
For those who have pain, to now be freed.
Grant them a lessoning from pains sad cause
So from their misery there is a pause.

Gratitude to the Devine I send out
Thanks to the Elements, I will shout
As Above, So below
As it has been spoken, it shall be so

You may repeated as often as needed

Snuff the candle to use again if you repeat this spell another time. Break your circle. Cleanse your tools, dry & replace them in the tin. Lift your altar cloth & with a sharp snap, neatly fold it & cover your treasures. Close you box and put it away.

I want to thank those who helped me in this effort.

The rest is all my fault. I keep this in my BOS because my memory is not so good either.

PS: The snap at the end isn’t really needed, it just felt neat

I know many think that a travel altar is for when you travel and it is. But you’ll find that you can use it anywhere. In the back yard, on the porch, in forest, anywhere.
Your love of the Devine is every where, why not your little temple.
Brightest Blessing and Love

I love how much thought and care you put into your spellwork here, Garnet- there are so many elements! I say that literally- you carefully included each of the elements with the Calling of the Elements as well as drew upon the divine. It’s really beautiful to see- amazing job with this and thank you for sharing it!:raised_hands:

No worries, Garnet! Computers do like to have their little tantrums sometimes  Thank you for posting the updated spell- I noticed it was in a different discussion, so I hope you don’t mind that I rehomed it here so that the update is close to the original!

Thanks again for sharing it!

No worries, Danni- I went ahead and moved it into the challenge discussion. You can see your challenge entry here, it is all set now!
