Your right looks like thatâs as big as it will get in that pot. Judging by the height. Roots maybe pot bound . Iâd double or triple the size of the pot
Definitely Devenne Iâll try that I have just a perfect pot too!
I want it to thrive and grow! And I think it might need new soil!
Jeannie
I was going to mention that too. Loosen up the roots a bit I just donât want to sound rude. Maybe some plant food too?
Also it looks like you may have three separate plants. You may be abled to split it into three plants depending on what the roots look like. I donât know much about bamboo. But other plants I have some knowledge
I have loved everyoneâs entries & their shared pictures. I always love
older pictures too. (I say that now because my son & I spent quite a bit of time looking at old pictures from when my great grandparents were younger through my daughterâs birth.) In general I love pictures especially of new or new to me things.
A happening yesterday, random off shoot from loving pictures
Then I had some wonderful talks with my son & he was so curious & asking questions about something very important to me & I know a lot about because itâs been a thing for me since I was a pre-teen. Lots of questions, genuine interest, & curiosities. Then when he wanted to see different things I have & asked questions about how I got them, from who, why, watched a movie with me thatâs 1, if not my favorite, also with questions about how it was created, why, how these stories came to be, the characters⊠He was just so genuinely interested & it made my heart so full with love
I had a good portion of my afternoon where my not feeling good just faded away for a time & looking at his face when he saw the different things & his eyes light up then questions about the items. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon with him yesterday. Itâs the little things sometimes for me.
@BryWisteria I feel like I had or have good luck charms, but I canât place them right now. But⊠I do love to make things! Iâm sure I can make something up or something come to me that has most likely been here or with me all along. I just forgot or didnât necessarily realize thatâs what it is for me.
Oh, I know this one, brace yourselvesâŠ
From the book Mirrors in the EarthâŠ
The moment you meet a pink ladyâs slipper, you know you have just experienced something spectacular. This rare ephemeralâs appearance first begins with its leaves, two long tongues unfurling from the ground. Then the stalk rises, sturdy and impossibly straight. Finally, the flower emerges, a tiny plum that billows into an incredible flounce of pink.
All orchids seem to boggle the mind with their otherworldly appearanceâand pink ladyâs slippers are no exception. With a color like a deep rosĂ©, the flower is shaped more like a shell than a blossom, with an intricate sea-creature fold called a labellum leading to a glowing space within. Strikingly vulvic, ladyâs slippers attract people and pollinators alike, a quality that is integral to their reproductive strategy.
Part of why orchids look so exotic is because their pollination depends on their beauty. Most insect-pollinated flowers offer nectar to passersby. Orchids only offer their loveliness. Drawn by their exquisite colors and shapes, an insect will crawl into an orchid looking for its bound-to-be-fantastic nectar.
Meanwhile, as they search, the opportunistic orchid pollen hitches a ride on this pollinator to find the next flower. Our local pink ladyâs slippers are specifically designed to entice our native bumble bee. After crawling inquisitively inside her folds, the blustering, empty-handed bee must then squeeze his way out the top, bopping his head on the flowerâs reproductive organs and inadvertently carrying its single pollen globule away to greener pastures.
Ladyâs slippers are rare flowers, in part because they only produce one of these pollen packages a season. In order for another flower to be fertilized, that same bumble bee must be bamboozled enough to retrace his steps and try yet another ladyâs slipper. Amazingly, it happens.
As to the challenge⊠I donât think I really have any lucky charms or anything. I prefer taking whatever the Goddess gives me, sometimes itâs more challenges and thatâs okay too

Just remember horses are prey animals. They are more afraid of you than you are of them. Move slowly, speak softly, talk to the horse with kindness and gentleness.
@john1 Awww thatâs sweet, you too!
Challenge Entry:
I chose to consecrate an amulet (my necklace)
This necklace I havenât worn in a long time, and honestly I havenât worn jewelry in a long time other than for very special occasions. But why shouldnât I wear necklaces that I own, and make them meaningful and important to the goals in my life? This necklace is on a long silver chain and is a pendant with a labradorite stone. My intention for the consecration is for good luck, strength, and transformation.
This consecration used the cardinal directions and the elements to activate the amulet. I will be wearing the necklace non-stop for at least five days as the ritual suggests.
My previous seven day career spell has already been bringing me some luck (some future side work), so Iâm hoping for continuing luck, strength, and transformation with this amulet.
I love Money Trees @Jeannie1 ! Here is one of mine (I have two).
Itâs been doing especially well and healthy this fall and winter. Iâd say itâs about 3-4 ft. tall and about 3 ft wide. I repotted it this summer. I did a full cleaning because it was getting really sick last spring and summer and lost many leaves and became yellow and sickly. I removed all the soil and washed the roots down and gave it a bigger pot, fresh organic soil with some fertilizer and kept on top of watering. And six months later, it has really bounced back! Now it just has to bring me that money luck!

My lowly acorn is to be my Lucky Charm. I have not put much faith in Luck or fortune or fate in my life, but looking back on my life I find it may have had more influence than I had first believed. To leave ones life to fate make one apathetic and lazy. Not taking responsibility for ones future. Luck is like waiting for fate to show itself. Fortune however is what one makes it. My lowly Acorn may bring me some luck. I cleansed and made it sacred. Did the Prayer to Fortuna. Added my Jade for health and it being green perhaps a good omen for increased prosperity.
Who knows, maybe Luck will grace this old man. I will do a jar in a bit to help with my fortune in general. Love to you all and may good fortune find us all.
