✋ Weekly Witchy CHALLENGE - Palmistry

Hi Ashley just wanted to say enjoy doing your Challenge. This is awesome way of learning. I have done several Challenges but only posted one. I didn’t pay attention to the time zone and now I have 3 that I am going to save for “another time”. So come Hell, come High Water, I am going to get this Challenge in before the deadline!!

Hi Megan. I might have to do that because some of my lines are not that deep or ledge able.

I think for this Challenge, I am going to try my hand (no pun intended) at incorporating Palmistry and Astrology. I again missed last week’s challenge. Too much happening and when I need the internet Hotspot, I can’t get it. Anyway, I will give it my best shot again this week to turn the Weekly Witchy Challenge in on time.

@Wysteria_Norn

Yes, you were correct when you said “this excellent page” I swear that was my hand in the picture. Thank you for posting this. I already learned a lot just reading that one page.

Thank you @Garnet for that information. I never knew that no two hands were the same.

I read both my palm and my best friend’s palms.
Both of our marriage lines are short/non existent. Makes sense since both of us aren’t married and have no plans to marry.
My best friend’s money/wealth line is very long while mine is… somewhat long… between short and long… Well, neither of us are swimming in money, so to speak. We have enough to live comfortably, but that could also mean we are both rich in something else.
Our heart lines are very long. We both are very caring, giving, and empathetic people. For me, maybe I care a little too much. Then again, it isn’t straight, which can indicate that someone is overly sensitive.
Our life lines are both pretty long. There are four lines diverging at the end. I read that this can indicate you’ll have some health problems as you get older. Hopefully, for me, it won’t be anything too serious. Who doesn’t have some troubles as they get older? My best friend’s hand had a long life line, but it curves to the left, then curves to right again down to her wrist. Not sure what that indicates. Maybe some sort of change that will eventually revert to the status quo?
You can have earth, air, fire, or water hands. Mine don’t completely fit one; I have the oval hands of someone with water, and the short fingers of someone with fire. Earth also has short fingers. So, my hands are earth, fire, and water.
EDIT: I was unable to find my old palmistry. :sob:

Challenge Entry - Palmistry :raised_hand:

I had to go through my BOS files :open_file_folder: on my computer :computer: I knew I had a something about Palmistry because I was curious at one time, but had never really read it much past the life line, heart line, the main ones sort of. I found the 2 files :smile:, but no idea :thinking: where they came from because they were sent to me or I had gotten them through a friend.

I got lost with the lines, I even have the one from Spells8 & I still get confused. :confused: My brain :brain: just doesn’t want to put it all together I guess. :woman_shrugging:

I have learned that smaller lines that occur over time & breaks in lines have significant meaning but I also found out that… parts of your hand mounts can correlate to star :star: signs & their energies, so it mentions wearing jewelry or rings :ring: on corresponding areas to enhance those qualities in your day, life, etc… but the amount of corresponding star signs/energies per finger/hand is a bit much for me to figure out at this time.

Images are part of a bundle that can be found on Etsy → (note - not all images are shared here)

So, as I said I’m not sure who gave me these pages/files… so I took screenshots. But they were given to me to start to learn palmistry in conjunction with astrology :milky_way: They aren’t something I bought or downloaded from a specific site. My interest has never lead me towards it more than what I have in my files or have looked at really.

So I will take a closer look at the astrology aspect, because the rest I could never follow on my own :thinking: I always get too confused trying to figure out each line & then how that applies to myself or what is going on… if that makes sense. Right now much more than this & my brain is like, “Just no.”

I’m hoping that one day I can at least read my own palm with the lines, right now I’m not sure what to do with the mounts & their placements because my hands well, where the symbols are… they aren’t really mounts… they seem more like just a part of my hand & even across my hand. So I’m trying to learn about them… but right now this is as far as I have gotten :laughing:

According to what I have read :monocle: though, at least for my left hand… Saturn :astrology_saturn: , Apollo, & Mercury :astrology_mercury: are all even there’s a bit of a dip between Jupiter :astrology_jupiter: & Saturn :astrology_saturn: but the actual mounts are all the same & the dip isn’t that prominent. So I don’t know except that those even & not sunken & overly raised is a balanced :balance_scale: reading.

Merry Meet !

At last something I could wrap my head and hand around~ (TL;DR)

Here are my findings on self-Palmistry:

Overall hand shape is elongated - this simply means that I fall into the air element (even though I am a fire sign) and considered intellectual and adaptive; as well as, empathetic and sensitive. Very true to my overall demeaner.

Life line is long and deep signaling a long and happy life;
Head line is conventional with notes of courage and determination. This line also splits as it approaches the Mount of Luna indicating an increase in psychic possibilities.
Heart line is showing prolonged partnerships (currently single though so???)
Fate line reaches and crosses the heart line and curves also making an “M” with the Mystic Cross showing success in life;
Health line reaches the heart line and is faint, denotes some troubles but nothing major;
Sun line and Apollo Mount is split (2 mounds and heart shaped) meaning creativity is mine whether I want it or not;
Bracelets are three-fold meaning that my life will be healthy, prosperous and happy;
Marriage lines are visible twice, with one deeper; meaning that I will have a strong commitment and outlive a spouse (Ex died this Feb due to liver failure)
Children lines are evident thrice, and I have three sons;
Intuition line is very present and signals that I am high-strung and sensitive with Clair capabilities (Duh! lol)
Ring of Solomon is present and makes me a natural mystic;
Mystic Cross is very pronounced in the center of both palms as are the Healer marks at the base of my pinky above the Mount of Luna;

All lines are deeply etched and marked showing that I am grounded and intentional in my dealing and multiple lines going from the wrist to the fingers shows a makings of a tree indicating growth and constant change.

Whew!!! This was fun and now I am back to see if I can memorize these lines and possibly put this to use as a party trick :slight_smile: :rofl:

Okay, here I go.

I have a faint life line which means I have low energy. My head line is broken and has lots of branched lines off of it so that means mental strife. I have a straight heart line which means strong emotions and feelings. I’m actually missing my fate line, or I can’t find it and that means a predictable life.

My health line is both wavering and broken so that means health and money issues. And I have a marriage line, which is so not happening. LOL!

I’m amazed at how right this turned out to be. And it’s weird how all my lines are scattered somewhat, maybe that means my thoughts are scattered? I’ll have to look into this more. I tried to take a good picture of my palm but the camera on my phone just isn’t that good.

Ok so for once I did not have anything in my BoS or nary even a book in my witchy library. So yay, an excuse to go book shopping.

Ok so I have to admit that I am a little naïve and I thought that palm reading was literally just interpreting the lines on your palm. Well as it turns out there is so much more involved than that. Mind blown!

So far I have found out about active and passive hands which basically are the difference between your dominant hand and the hand you use less often. The active hand shows more outwardly-focused, developed, expressive, mature personality and the passive palm shows the deeper, hidden immature, personal and private personality. Both palms are indicative of how you are now, but everyone has a deeper side of their personality that is usually hidden. The differences in active and passive hands are crucial in hand analysis.

It is important to scrutinise both hands and not just focus on one. Palm shapes determine whether you have earth hands, water hands, air hands and fire hands. (Now I can’t decide whether or not I have water or an earth hands - maybe a little bit of both). Earth hands have short fingers, with large, square, heavy palms. The bones of the palm are thick and usually stiff. Water hands are often pale and cool to the touch, the fingers are long and flexible and the palm a narrow rectangle. I have very small almost child-sized hands, so this one is a puzzle for me to figure out.

The earth type is cautious, home and family loving, and highly security conscious. They are unpretentious, grounded, and nature loving, and invariably have large family (not me in this case) with lots of pets (yes me in this case). Water people are naturally caring and compassionate as they are highly responsive to the people around them. They are very drawn to working with children, animals, nursing, alternative therapies and to art of all kinds.

Then there is also the texture of your palm to take into consideration. There’s silk, paper, grainy and course. Oh and then there’s the length of your fingers to take into consideration. This even more than I even imagined, even before I start trying to interpret any lines on my hand, Yikes! I am so glad I bought myself a couple of bookie wookies to help me figure out which now seems like very complicated little appendages at the end of my arms.

I explored this weeks challenge by re-reading a book ive had for over a decade, “Palmistry: How to Chart the Lines of Your Destiny” by Roz Levine. This book is great it breaks everything down, it even has samples of actual to scale hand prints, also every day common questions. Along with the corresponding illustrations for the answer to the question.

(First) Challenge Entry

I got this artwork in a subscription box and just had to share for this challenge.

I write with my right hand, but I use my left hand for almost everything else. I may be part of the last generation that was forced to switch in school lol.

Starting with the Line of Life: indicates the quality of life, vitality, significant life changes or obstacles & overall well-being.
Mine is pretty deep with a semi-circular arc, but it does fray at the end. There’s also a bunch of slight intersecting lines at the top. Someone else mentioned these lines can be related to hospital visits. Could be true… I’ve lost count of the number of hospitalizations I’ve had due to kidney stones.

Line of the Heart: indicates the strength & durability of a person’s affections & emotional capacity.
Mine starts between my index and middle finger with a deep intersecting line in the beginning.

Line of the Head: indicates a person’s intelligence & mentality
It’s pretty straight and deep at the beginning, but then is less deep and starts to break apart at the end. Dementia does run in my family.

Line of Fate: indicates a person’s success, career & fortune.
This line is really hard to follow - there’s so many intersections and then seems to disappear behind the head and the heart lines, but then comes back just under my middle finger. I’ve been with the same job for the past 17 years, but prior to that - I probably switched jobs every 6 months or so. I’ve worked very hard for everything I have and am extremely grateful for willpower to keep working so hard :slight_smile:

Line of Mars: indicates ambition & drive
I can’t find it :joy: Ambitious would probably not be one of the top five words I’d use to describe myself. Just sayin.

Via Lasciva: indicates intensity of sentiments or addiction; ability to cope
It’s very faint and short on my hand.

Girdle of Venus: indicates a passionate or nervous temperament. I don’t think I have this line. Maybe it doesn’t apply to me.

Bracelets of Life: Didn’t make it in the picture, but I only have 3. According to this, I’ll live to be 60-90.

This was such a fun and educational challenge. I hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did!

CHALLENGE ENTRY: (I’ll try to do my best translating to English, please correct me if its necessary!!

I made a reading of my right hand, where I can see that all the lines draw a M. And I can even see the rune ALGIZ in my

The Health line is straight, that means good health in general.
The Head line have a little X close to the beginning, (it’s accurate because I always had migraines and headaches)
Heart line is difficult to interpret for me. I see it straight, with a few branches in the beggining (according to my book, that means success)

Its my very first time doing a palmistry reading, and I thing the book I bought doesn’t have enough info. So I need to buy more books!! And If I failed reading my línes, any correction will be welcome!!

Weekly Witchy Challenge Entry- Palmistry

For this challenge I got out my palmistry workbook and studied up a bit. My husband and I examined our palms together one night and that was fun! I bought this book about 6 years before I knew I was a witch :smile:

Its a neat book. It has sample readings and how to do readings for other people.

I finished my first weekly challenge! Yaaaaaaay! I checked out my palms. Crazy how one hand seems so organized and the other chaotic.

Challenge Entry - Palmistry

Love these challenges for learning about new things! While i know of palmistry, I’ve never really looked into it much.

I chose to try my hand… get it? Hand? :smiley: (sorry, i had to!!!) At reading my own hand. I took a few pictures and edited the contrast to make the lines clearer.

I have a fairly long l lifeline that starts strong and fades out. I feel like that reflects a bit of my personality. When i am interested in something new and exciting, I go all out with passion and energy but cant or dont usually sustain the energy in the long haul.

My head line starts strong and dips, fades and ends. I feel like that reflects my logical step by step approach to planning and problem solving mixed with my creative, whimsical side.

My heart line starts between my index and middle fingers. I feel like that reflects my long term romantic relationship that while mostly stable and strong, has gone through turbulence. There’s even a “bump in the road” on that line.

My fate line is short which i feel represents my mostly predictable life with some important events that are beyond my control such as my multiple sclerosis diagnosis at age 22.

My health line does indeed have a fork indicating a chronic illness. (It is interesting to note I chose not to read the lines meanings ahead of time and read them in the order I’ve presented. So i had no idea that a chronic illness was indicated in this line when i was reading my fate line).

The sun line. I really don’t see one.

Girdle of venus - I see a small bit of the line but not it’s not complete. I’m not sure how to interpret this?

Braclets - I have four deep lines. Won’t complain about that if it I indicates a long healthy future!

No marriage or children lines. The last part of accurate as I’ve never had and won’t in the future have children.

Interesting fun! I might try my left hand as well later.

****Weekly Witchy Challenge: Palmistry – I lost my palmistry book! :cry: So I used a YouTube video to try palmistry. My heart line curves and shows that I am affectionate. It is broken which indicates heartache. The head line curves up and that indicates creativity. My life line is deep and forks where it terminates at my wrist. That fork indicates that I have lived far from my birthplace. I was hoping it would count as a double line, meaning I have a guardian angel, but it didn’t really seem like a doubler. My fate line was short and I couldn’t really figure out if it meant anything, it did not seem too remarkable. So, everything was true! I was born in San Francisco but have lived almost all my life in Virginia. That was fun.
