Your wand is beautiful!!!
Your so funny Tracy!
Challenge Entry
I was outside talking to my trees and asked a few of them to donate some stock for wands and this is what they gave me. I thanked them and with gratitude gathered the stock for later use. I gathered Apple, Mulberry, Cypress and Oak. ![]()
I believe I will start on the apple, Apple tree: Healing. Prosperity. Love. Perpetuates youth. as it has the qualities I most want. I like the idea that a wand Asks for the help of the elements or diety instead of Summoning. I prefer the gentler approach when asking for the help of powers greater than I. ![]()
Mulberry will be the next as it also has many of the qualities I seek. Mulberry: Knowledge. Fortune telling. Wisdom. Willpower
Cypress is more in line with the liminal and hedge properties. Cypress: Past lives. Protection.
And oak the old standby Oak: Healing. Strength. Money. Longevity.
This will keep me occupied long past the end of this challenge, but I will keep you updated on the progress

Wow Shadeweaver you have some generous trees! I know you will make them proud with your beautiful wands.
@Shadeweaver Fabulous collection. Your knowledge of trees is awesome.
I like your point
Very important when handling deities, or we may end up like Dean, when the deity reminds us, it didn’t want to be summoned. ![]()

Thank you, Ostara!
My magic wand isn’t a wand at all, but a crochet hook!
So… stay with me, and I’ll try to explain lol
I don’t use a wand during spells and rituals the way most people do. I hardly ever direct energy that way, and I never cast a circle.
Instead, my crochet hooks are a way I direct energy, just in a different way! When I’m crocheting, I’m transferring my energy into the piece. Sometimes this is just a normal thing that happens when I make something – I put my energy, my thoughts, my love, and my work into it. Other times, this is intentional. The crochet hook becomes a weaver of knot magic, moving the yarn and energy throughout the piece I’m working on.
So, while I don’t have a traditional wand, I do have a crochet hook!
I’m relieved to hear I’m not the only one like this. But now that I’m among many, I feel less like I’m doing things wrong.
The circle never felt right to me, for some reason.
You do! And it’s making magic happen, so it’s definitely a potent one. ![]()
Love these beautiful pictures! I am all for using nature in wands and obvi in my all around practice @Jeannie1

Ohh i’m soo freaking sorry !
I just couldn’t make it this time. I was reading about the ways to crystal wrap a wand, watched a few videos… but then realized i have tiger tail wire (that my very creative sister uses for making her own jewellery! It’s her most favorite hobby just after resin art & she loves doing it and i just loove watching her do it…
) but i neither had hot glue nor any crystal chips that actually had holes!
Soo yes, the idea was gone already. But i still had it in my mind to purify my wand, aand…
i got lost… in Spells8’s spells/ritual videos, herb knowledge, moon meditations & what not ! I swear 'm not lying…
When i looked at my phone’s clock… it was 10 pm.
I was too tired. Also it’s 2 am here, ryt now.
Anyways, just wanted to tell y’all that I am doing my magickal wand cleansing , tomorrow, to remove all & any mundane or unwanted blocking energies. I will click a pic & share in the forum tomorrow!

Challenge Entry
Ooo… wands… I remember early on I had a special ordered crystal wand made up for myself. Each end has a quartz point & then tumbled emerald, amethyst, & pearl. The wamd shaft is made of a purple Italian glass. The solder used is called Silvergleem, made up of 95% tin & 5% silver. Its roughly 6 inches long.
I recently was given, by accident… more handed really a piece of a branch. I had found it in a parking lot area & had been eyeing it. When I saw my son, as he was heading to the car I asked him to bring it to me & told him it was a wand. To which he replied, “Here you go Harry Potter.” As I proceeded to boop everyone that was with us talking. I still have it, it just looks like a wand to me the way it is… so I haven’t really done anything special with it, except keep it as my first wooden wand.
However, overall, I don’t use a wand in my practice. I may use my finger or hands to direct things. Maybe an Athame. I do use things like sewing needles, knitting needles or crochet hooks when making things for my practice… so I suppose those would be types of wands. Actually using a specific wand though, I did try & it just was awkward to me.
I have learned about the Suit of Wands through Spells8 & my Biddy Tarot courses. Which has helped immensely when I read tarot.

Okay he isn’t quite done yet. There’s a crystal to remove, attaching a beautiful what I guess I would call a large crystal chip that comes to a point that I think is the one to go on the other end. I have figured out what herbs are going in, mostly under the snout and how to seal them and a couple of Crystal chips in
Now I just have to do it. I’ve been slowly working with it for probably a year
Ugh now that I see a picture, there’s a little more wire to redo
I use my wand in my practice when I really need a sacred space and make a call! I don’t do it all the time!
Anyway thank you for sharing your practice. I am using my hands a lot as a wand to direct what I want! That’s why I think it’s important to have your nails done in my opinion!
Chinease Sticks make great wands!
Eat good have lots of energy!
Jeannie
Uh oh, I’m in so much trouble.
Maybe I should start taking care of them… They’re always all different lengths, shapes, and chipped here or there. ![]()
It’s funny – I’ve been using chopsticks most of my life and never considered they could be wands.
That’s one of those “too close to the subject” kind of deals from being part Chinese, I bet. But now I can brag that I have a kitchen drawer absolutely full of wands. ![]()
