Does anyone have a good recommendation where I can buy affordable dried ingredients for my spells? I am a single mama and a baby witch just trying to get started and continue to build up my supplies!! Thanks in advance!!
I’m UK so no help but if it’s for magical purposes you can use substitutes.
Here’s a list.

A lot of the common ingredients you can get at the dollar store. I know that Azure Green is pretty good, and there are some nice places on Etsy. I like to get what little I need from Amazon because I get free shipping.
Hope that helps! Good luck!
I legit buy my herbs from Walmart or super one. The best herbs are usually the $1 bags that are a Mexican brand called El guapo or Mi Consteñita.
They are fresh. They are cheap. They are literally so expensive anywhere else or online, but they’re the best!
Best herbs ever!
I am also a sahm and I don’t get much from the nutritional government program, but when I do buy spices and herbs, I split them in half and use one of the halves for my practice and the other half in my kitchen. ![]()
Get what you can, where you can. As mentioned, Dollar Tree and Walmart are good. Baking aisles in any grocery store have low priced herbs. Don’t forget Dollar General, local sellers, and Family Dollar. Price things like you would in seeking deals on clothes or food. Check for low priced candles, art supplies, and potpourri at thrift stores. If you have Roth, Marshall’s, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory, or something similar nearby, they can cut the prices of otherwise ritzy stuff, so they may be worth checking out. Also check 5 Below. Places marked “factory closeouts” which have different prices per day are generally unreliable, but may offer something cool on occasion- I heard they are selling things Amazon couldn’t deliver.
Dollar Tree incense has decent scents, when they are available, though it can fall off the sticks over time. Just save the powder for adding to homemade ink or burn atop a spell in your cauldron if you don’t want to get the special charcoal disks for burning loose incense.
Crystals can be found at Hobby Lobby among jewelry or scrapbooking supplies on occasion, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be cheap. Sometimes you’re better off finding rocks on a hike in the woods or from a gravel drive out in the country. You don’t need all the treasures, though. Intention or virtual works fine.
Be careful ordering off Temu.com, though: some are not as advertised, and their current delivery company treats people very poorly. Part of my last order was delivered to a free table in my apartment complex rather than to my door, and was subsequently stolen with no chance of recompense.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions I have quite a bit of the seasonings from stores like Walmart and all of them common ingredients, but I was talking about more of the uncommon ingredients that some of these spells ask for! That I can’t find in m local stores!
