šŸ‘ WITCH CHALLENGE - Instant Magick

Challenge Entry

Wow it’s been awhile for me since I did one of these and this is right up a chaos witch’s street, even a rune witch.

Instant Magic Chaos View

This is my go to on the run magic. Even though there’s a no tools vibe in this challenge, we all have tools every day, our phone, pen, paper, lighters, the weather, the ground we’re walking on and perhaps our most powerful - the unseen forces of the deity/spirit world that’s just waiting for this kind of magic.

A Simple How to Change your Energy using Chaos Magick

I straight away remembered the above, magic on the run, I can think of a few situations I should’ve used this but hey ho such is chaos.

The other Instant Magic is Runes

Once learnt, they are everywhere and nowhere.

Stuck in a traffic jam, feeling the pressure rise in your bones? Lick your finger, draw :isaz: on your forehead and start to chill down.

On a walk, feel a sudden desire to sit under that tree and open a portal? No problem, use the bridge rune :haglaz: . Close your eyes, chant the rune over and over, clapping your rhythm and enjoy the journey.

Arrived at a hotel, can’t change rooms but the one you’re in is definitely off - no worries, runes have got this covered, pour a cup of water, dip your finger in the water and draw :laukaz: on the windows and doors and :algiz: on any mirrors, sorted.

Fancy a chat with a god? No altar, no crystals, no grimoire? Not an issue, these beings have been around since Ginungagapp days when such things did not exist - just call their name, and wait for their arrival or if you fancy ritualising it a little - write their name on a piece of paper, with the rune :ansuz: circle it, then call out 3 times the rune, and enjoy their company.

Having an issue with something/someone, can’t figure out what to do? Take a walk, collect some sticks, thrown away items, let the sun, wind or moon cleanse it, then create a bind rune and leave the rest to the rune gods. Everything has megin in it, so everything can be harnessed for a witch to utilise. Here’s one I did a few weeks ago:

Want to catch up with some ancestors? Know where they’re buried? Go along for a chat, sit by their grave, spit on the ground (marks your DNA, this is old Nordic stuff :winking_face_with_tongue:) and just be.

Our ancestors did magic everywhere, witchcraft was rough, raw and earthy and to be honest, in our current climate, perhaps it’s time to return to more local home based humble practices, in that way we support our local eco system, local homemade businesses, do our bit to stop cultural appropriation and save our wallets.

It’s a win win. :clinking_beer_mugs::partying_face:

@Nikki-Phoenix Thankyou, Great idea :winking_face_with_tongue:

Fabulous I love this :clinking_beer_mugs:

Beautiful, that’s what’s great about this kind of magic. :bouquet:

Absolutely the best kind of grounding

Yes, I love this kind of ritual, storm energy is awesome :cloud_with_lightning_and_rain:

Yes, I do feel this, even using our bodies as the pendulum and channelling the gods through us directly.

Wonderful, music is powerful, I’m glad you had a better experience :people_hugging:

Technology witch right there, and we have our tech everywhere, I wonder if you could tap into the WiFi rays for spirit communication  now there’s something to explore on my next walk.

So refreshing, lovely :green_heart:

Turning the mundane into the magical, fabulous

Love all these wonderful entries.

Superb Saturday Tracy,

Wow :open_mouth: Your post included so much from everyone else; it almost seems like we all do these things, maybe not each one daily, but throughout the day, month, year, these come up for us.

I really love your rune idea. I have a small pouch with my runes that I carry in my purse. My bingo buddy wanted a read before the bingo started on Thursday.

Love these ideas, one-and-all. The way you put this together, it looks like a ā€œlistā€ of instant spells.

Thankyou lovely,

Fabulous, a good gamblers rune would be :pertho: although the runes are chaotic beasties so watch out, they may work in the house’s favour :green_heart:

This is my challenge entry

I love to collect (some are from Pinterest) and create single-word spells. These are spells that combine different words into one, making it really easy to remember them and use them quickly. It also is kind of a Harry Potter vibe and really fun.
IĀ“m frequently using ā€œVanisegoā€ (to be unseen by others) and ā€œVigormagusā€ (to increase magical powers for self-defense). I also love using ā€œExtenebrisā€ to banish negative energies. (in my mind IĀ“m always hearing it in Severus Snapes voice  )
How I“m doing this is that I“m thinking of the magical word, seeing it in my mind and charging it with light and energy and when I whisper it, I visualize it as an arrow flying into the world and doing what I was asking for.

Witch Challenge for Amethyst:

Okay, I wanted to do this before I forgot. I read in a book somewhere that if you strike a match, it can get a Fire Goddess/God’s attention. It was probably one of my Brigid books.

But that’s it! No words. Just some intent and a match! Can’t get any more instant than that! LOL! :fire:

I cast magick through intention first, always!

I work a lot with energy direction. Every day.

:herb: When I place my hand on my body and breathe through pain… that’s healing magick.

:herb: When I send love or protection to family or friends… that’s distance work!

My magick also shows up in the everyday rituals I do that don’t really look like rituals:

:dizzy: I stir intention into my morning cup of tea daily.

:dizzy: Whispering thoughts like a prayer without calling it one.

:dizzy: Sitting in stillness and letting my intuition speak.

:dizzy: Choosing peace in a moment where chaos would be easier.

:dizzy: When I observe people, places, or things, I see layers most people don’t.

I don’t always reach for tools when I cast magick. Most of the time, it happens in the quiet in-between moments. I set intention in my breath, stir energy into my drinks, and let my thoughts become soft spells carried on the air.

My magick lives in how I feel, how I notice, and how I choose. It’s in the way I send love without speaking, protect my energy without needing to explain, and create small moments of peace in the middle of chaos.

I don’t need anything outside of me to practice, I am the tool. Everything else is just an extension of what already exists within.

Yes, yes, yes, Eira. I was just thinking that again today, magick is a life, not a ā€œsundayā€ type thing; or only on holidays type thing; it needs to be part of who you are and how you work through your day every day!

Hello! There is a line in a Wiccan Morning Prayer that says, ā€œToday I have the power to change everything that’s bad into bright blessings.ā€ I’ve been trying to ā€œMaster the Momentā€ when i catch myself ruminating in a dark way or dwelling on something negative- big or small. When I catch myself I say the line from the prayer and then try to re-direct my thought to a best case scenario, a positive outcome I might not have imagined yet, or a blessing I am ignoring by being stuck on a negative. It helps me stop the momentum of negativity and shift my mood and mindset. :brain: :glowing_star:

I love this! I have learned so many little tips and tricks over the last few years! I carry amethyst in my backpack - I always have my bag, so it’s always with me! Also, I begin every day with a quick coffee spell, a moment of gratitude for the elements that make my cuppa possible, and I set an intention for the day ahead. I end every day with a shower spell - it’s very rarely the same (once I made one up, it rhymed, it was lovely… but my brain won’t retain it, so I just go with the moment) - it’s my way to cleanse off the energy of the day and reset myself to rest. I doodle sigils in my planner when I need to and my apple watch reminds me to breathe! I try to take those little moments to remember my intention and refocus… try is the key word there!

I love seeing everyone’s magic on the go!

Sensational Saturday Audra,

When I feel things starting to go wonky, I say this, and it immediately makes me feel better.

I am vital, I am strong, I am unique, I belong.

It works wonders!!

Wow I guess I’ve done a lot lately. I finally put myself first. I have a nice lavender and chamomile tea with honey every night before bed. Just the other night I thanked the Goddess, God and Universe for helping me see the right path and asked for their continued guidence, which I’m obviously getting. I’ve also been reading finished EMPATH: A Complete Guide for Developing Your Gift and Finding Your Sense of Self and THE EMPOWERED EMPATH A Simple Survival Guide on Setting Boundaries, Controlling Your Emotions, and Making Life Easier and now I’m reading Reiki Healing for Beginners Your Step-by-Step Guide to Mastering Reiki in 21 Days. Now I know it takes much more than 21 days but its a good start for me because ive been interested in this. I also at this moment am drinking a nice cup of coffee with freshly ground chicory and just reading posts and relaxing. I want to start doing morning and evening meditations soon also. Geez I’ve done a lot lol. Can’t say I’m not commited :joy:

Witches so I will post some on that one.
