Challenge Entry: I love simmer pots and I regularly use this home spell or another I have with salt and incense to make my home feel safe and cozy.

We were talking about thrift stores earlier. My altar is a vintage vanity that I bought at a Goodwill. It was the Goodwill in @jayne s hometown! @jayne I will PM you before we take over the thread. How often do we meet fellow witches within a 30 mile radius, especially in the bible belt of Texas.

Georgia,
Hi Georgia, Yes it does snow in Cali my friend sent me a picture and it was snowing she lives about an hour away. I know it snows in Lake Tahoe which is a ski resort! I am not much of a skier I have a friend she likes to ski and were sorta like each other she says I should try it but I think I am afraid of hurting myself to much! Where do you live again?

I’m not sure where to post this, as I have already posted a challenge entry, but if one can enter twice, please consider this a challenge entry.

After my meditation practice this morning, I decided to work on a little spell for Joy that I read about a few weeks ago. So with my hot beverage close by, I sat at my new desk altar and gathered some cloves, star anise, cinnamon sticks and orange peel and a little jute bag. On a piece of paper I described what joy means to me and how I will cultivate joy during the Yule season. I folded the paper and placed it in the bag and added the ingredients, being sure to smell their deliciousness. Then I said a little blessing and hung it on our tree.

I’m doing the same thing!! :joy:

Challenge entry part 3

As my SO is driving down to Florida soon to take care of his father during and post chemotherapy, I decided to do some kitchen witchery and bake holidays goodies to send with him to share with his father and brother.

I made two kinds of sourdough discard chocolate chip cookies (one with semi sweet and butterscotch, the other with white chocolate and dark chocolate) along with two kinds of Chex mix - fisherman’s friend, with 3 kinds of goldfish crackers and Frank’s hot sauce and a traditional with nuts and pretzels. 4 hours of love, spell work and cooking and then a long nap!

@Artemisia OK, now I don’t feel bad! Thanks  That’s a lovely idea to bake some goodies for him to take to his family. I’m sure they will appreciate the thought.

@TheMuslimWitch I’m making the most of the cooler weather while I can. Our summers here in Texas are probably about as brutal as yours in Australia - heat and humidity - oh joy! And they last from April/May to October. So you have my commiserations.

Albuquerque, New Mexico. We have ski resorts in the mountains around us, but I’ve heard some of them have refrigeration on the slopes to extend the ski and tourist season. One ski resort is on the east side of the Sandias, here; another in Taos, and a third in Angel Fire. That’s not all, but they are the ones I hear about most often.

Sending healing energies!

Delightful!

They look delicious!

Me too!

Happy Litha! It may take a bit, but you’ll cool down soon enough.

I would prefer your heat. The cold is hard on my fibromyalgia. I’m going shopping all day with my daughter today. The little bit of cold I’ll have to deal with will have me in bed when o get home and all day tomorrow on muscle relaxers and pain meds.

We have had subzero temps all week

May you find all you need to keep you cozy through the rest of the winter!

Strange question: does a heated blanket help your fibro at all? I was thinking about getting one for a neighbor.

I found a new tea for my winter tea rituals  one thing to know about me is, I’m actually a Brit, but have lived in Texas, of all places since 1982. So I am and have always been a hot tea drinker. I drink gallons of the stuff. This new tea i found is called Winter Solstice tea. It’s a black tea with orange peel, licorice root, mallow flowers, oatstraw, cornflower petals, bergamot, butterscotch and vanilla flavoring. It’s absolutely :yum:
