I thought it would be fun to create a thread with a list of our best witchy tips…I have a lot I’ve gathered over the years!!
For example: If you want to charge your drinking water with a crystal…you do not need to place the crystal inside the water! Just place your drinking water in a mason jar, cover it and place the crystal on top. Let it charge for at least 1 hour. Caution some crystals can hurt your health if ingested! So always use caution.
Sample Two: Mop your home with pine needle infused water - this will cleanse your space of negative energy.
Sample Three: Using brick dust is great in protection spells.
I collect all my dead matches, and when I have a pile, put them in a heatproof pot, burn them down. Let them cool, crush them, add some salt and you got black salt, great for spellwork.
I like what you do with your matches, Tracy. I make sun water with an amethyst and moon water with a moonstone, daily/nightly (only missed 1 day in over a year). When I am walking to the bus stop, I like to acknowledge and give reverence to the elements (I only use names to give my mind a thought place, for what I am doing) I try to keep magick in my life daily, chanting/spell making when I am cooking. I especially “talk” when I am washing the dishes. Dish time is really good for my “conversations”.

@silverbear This is such a great idea. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s tips! I don’t really have any yet as I am just starting to wander down my path.
I can’t do a ritual bath, and I don’t like the idea of tying a bag of herbs to my showerhead. But Dr. Teal’s shower gel has Epsom salts and essential oils. There’s lavender, eucalyptus, spearmint, and vanilla. I use the one with lemon balm, lemon peel, sage, and thyme. It makes me feel ritually cleaned without having to pick sage leaves out of the drain.
Oils in the shower…got me thinking. Back in the day, about 1978, something was going on with me and instinctively I knew to shower with a certain oil for 7 days, as I chanted in the shower. How did I know that? Noone I knew back then was practicing…..hmmmm… Lady Gene
Hi everyone! I have found that the dollar store and dollar tree have some of the best witchy items ever. Epsom salt with oils for cleansing bathes. Journals for your Grimoire. The cheapest glass everything and anything you could ever need. I bought 5 mason jars for 99 cents.
I get my small spray bottles. Charm bottles. Even fabric for my sachets for my herbs.
I would include Dollar General, but their prices aren’t that cheap anymore.
Those two stores are magick in the deals.
I love yo whisper my spells into the candles, the herbs, the water and when letting go of ashes. There’s magick in whispers.
I am loving all the information here. I think I have found a place to go when my insomnia just won’t budge.
Toodles!
I’ve always been interested in gemstones and crystals. Back when I was a wee little one with curly hair from an Annie perm. I think some things just feel right when you come across them. Sometimes you lose the magic, and sometimes you don’t. And if you’re lucky, you remember.
I bet many do. I talk with everything (though I do it discreetly.) I always talk to birds, deer (who respond with their head cocked over in surprise), even snakes and butterflies.
Never hurts to go to fivescences before ritual cleanse your space which means the atmosphere! Lite some incence sage and play some Witchy music to get your headspace there in space and time. Sometimes I do ritual and forget my moon water outside and the next day it’s outside! Make sure you soak up the natural moon lite and get outside and put a timer on so you don’t forget the moon water outside for too long! He he he I am so forgetful! Lol

I´m doing a small ritual to remind my body of the suns warmth and power and it goes like this:
Pick a fruit that represents the sun for you, an orange is obviously a good choice, but apples will work very well, too.
Light a candle at your altar, play some meditation music if you like.
You can place the “Sun” Tarot card on your altar
Hold the fruit in your hands and take three deep breaths.
In your minds eye see how the fruit hangs on a branch and the branch is part of a tree…zoom out a bit more and see how the tree stands on a beautiful meadow. The sky above is of a clear, vibrant blue and the sun shines down on everything, soaking nature with warmth and energy. Stay in this image for a while and enjoy it! At your pace go with your attention back to your fruit and watch, how it absorbs all of the suns warmth and energy. It radiates with energy as it pulls in the sunlight into each cell where it remains stored.
Take another deep breath and at your pace come back, move your toes and feet, your shoulders and head…
Open your eyes and say “Thank you” three times. Eat your fruit, knowing the suns power stored in the fruit will now be absorbed by your body and make you feel warm, powerful and refreshed.
Is it possible you’re sending this from Narnia? Are you the one with the magical pathway through the closet??
Because…what is this?!? All the snow and blue sky and beauty…ridiculously pretty.
