Workbook suggestions

Hi all! So I’m looking for some help with my workbook. I’m writing a workbook to help witches work through the 12 steps of recovery. I’ve included moon phase activities and rewrote the 12 steps to align better with the craft. Because I’ve never found one that mixed the two. And addiction is a struggle especially if you can’t incorporate your higher power. So I’m looking for any ideas or suggestions anyone that’s battled addiction or watches a loved one battle addiction. What activities really helped and what parts of the craft did you incorporate into your path to recovery. Thanks in advance.

I don’t have any suggestions for you myself, as I’ve never had to deal with that, but I hope you will get some suggestions from your coven mates here.

Also, you may need to change the title of your post. It looks as if autocorrect changed it to WookNook suggestions, instead of Workbook suggestions.

Wow! I agree with @Greenbriar that this is a great idea. From what I’m reading here, you’ve done a lot of good work already. Massaging the 12 steps to align more with the craft is no small feat!

I’m hoping someone here can weigh in with some concrete suggestions. Not having any personal experience myself, I can only suggest something like maybe adding spells directed at self-care, health, or banishing spells towards addiction or non-supportive people in one’s life. Writing intentions, focused chants, etc., could help keep a positive outlook.

Oh this is wonderful! I have seen so many things come out that relate to the practice that are for the benefit of getting through something in life. This is wonderful!

When I had to come off of medications, one thing that really helped me was breathing exercises & progressive muscle relaxation. I used tarot & oracle for assistance sometimes with another mode of divination. Crystals really helped me & ritual showers, getting outside even if it was to walk to the top of my street or around my house. But while I was out there noting 3 things around me. Whether it was the sun or wind, and where I felt, saw, and heard it. It could be birds or other wildlife, what the grass feels like, or I go to the beach and just walk or sit on it to listen to the sounds of land, sea, & sky coming together and breathing it in and relaxing to reset for a little bit.
