New Year’s Eve is on a Thursday this year. Are we lighting a candle or anything special with the tea? I think that would be nice. Just a thought.

I love the idea. 
We spend every New year’s watching every celebration. (I don’t know if they’ll have celebrations this year.🤷) We wake up early and stream them throughout the entire day.
I could totally do coffee or tea at specific times throughout the day to celebrate with all the different people around the world.

I was thinking we could all light a candle that day with our tea or something. Anything y’all would like would be good for me though, I just thought it would be nice if we did something to ring in the new year. And pray that 2021 will be better than 2020! LOL.

New Year’s Eve is my partner’s bday so I imagine I won’t be doing any ritual or spell work that day, but perhaps we could set up a multi-day ritual (Dec 31-Jan 1)?
I am also hoping we can ring in some better luck and more fortune for 2021- a great New Year’s wish to make!

I can maybe think up a chant but I suck at visualizations. I think I’m one of those people who just can’t picture pictures, I can see what I want to say okay but not images.
But it’s whatever y’all think would be best. I just thought it would be nice to do something for New Year’s and start 2021 out right.

I’m planning to smoke-cleanse the rooms and do a big cleaning of the entire house with my wife.
I think any kind of cleansing, throwing away, renewal rituals are perfect. But also setting resolutions or intents for the new year, and of course looking back to what 2020 taught us (probably a lot!).
We could do a Collective Tarot reading like we did last year!

A tarot reading may be interesting, although I’ve never done one as big as that one! I’d be more comfortable drawing a card for each quarter of the year I think. Of course, if Goddess forbid, next year is as weird as this year, it’ll all be Towers and the suit of Swords!

I thought the collective tarot reading was really interesting! 
Especially when everyone reflected on it later in the year- it was a really great activity.
@MeganB did a wonderful job putting the collective reading together and is also our divination discussion specialist- I don’t want to force anything on anyone’s plate (and I know she’s super busy with everything now!) but is that something you’d be interested in running again, Megan?

Francisco mentioned a few possible themes above that resonate well with the new year- “cleansing, throwing away, renewal”. I think anything along these lines that focus on a fresh new start and welcoming in the new year will be lovely! 
As for length- I think you let your wondrous creativity flow and see what happens! 
A few lines, a lengthy piece, a poem, a story- whatever your talents mind comes up with will be perfect, Kasie!

Oh this is awesome! I wasn’t here last year so the tarot pull sounds amazing especially if @MeganB is involved with it! I love the lighting of candles idea also. Thanks @Amethyst for coming up with this suggestion, looking forward to what you come up with!

I was actually thinking about this today! I do plan on doing another collective reading for 2021 probably sometime this week or next week. I’ve got to feel out which deck I think would be good. I’m leaning more toward The Wild Unknown deck because, well, I think it just fits
