Hello everyone,
The third astrological season of the year is now here. Gemini season, is underway bringing socialising, communication, new ideas and mental stimulation. The Sun passing through the sign of the twins may also hold influence over our physical bodies.
Please remember that the information below is for educational and entertainment purposes only and should not be used for self-diagnosis, treatment, or to replace the advice of a medical professional.
In the previous post, I explained the traditional qualities of the Signs (hot, cold, dry, wet). I have included a summary here:
Qualities of the Signs
In classical medical astrology, the zodiac signs and their elements are assigned combinations of four foundational qualities:
• Hot: Activates, speeds up, and is linked to high energy or inflammation
• Cold: Contracts, sedates, slows—linked to fatigue or stagnation
• Dry: Solid, separate, brittle—linked to tension or lack of fluid
• Wet: Fluidic, soft, nourishing—linked to moisture, flexibility, and coherence
Each element is a pairing of two of these qualities:
• Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): Hot and Dry
• Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): Cold and Dry
• Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): Hot and Wet
• Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): Cold and Wet
Gemini Season: Hot and Wet
Gemini is an Air sign, making it hot and wet. These qualities are activating, stimulating, and mobile. We have just left Taurus season, which brought stabilising and quite heavy, sedate energy, but Gemini brings lighter energy, movement, and intellectual engagement. This is a season for connecting with others, multitasking Bd learning. However, just be aware that this mental stimulation can lead to restlessness, nervous tension or difficulty focusing.
Gemini rules the arms, shoulders, hands, lungs, and the nervous system. As a result, this season may bring attention to respiratory health, circulation to the limbs, and the management of information or emotions.
Seasonal Effects on Your Sign
FIRE Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
Aries – Head, brain, face
Gemini’s hot, stimulating nature supports your energy, but it can also increase mental restlessness or headaches, especially if you overwork your mind. Be sure to take brain breaks and do grounding activities.
Leo – Heart, spine, upper back
The season’s energy may boost creativity and sociability, but too much heat can put pressure on the heart or lead to overexertion. Stretch the spine and take time to unwind.
Sagittarius – Hips, thighs, liver
Gemini is your polar sign, lying directly in opposition in the zodiac. You may find the need to travel and learn. This stimulation may be exciting, but could also leave you feeling a bit scattered. Balance adventure with calm and detox the liver with plenty of water.
EARTH Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)
Taurus – Neck, throat, thyroid, voice
Gemini may pull you out of your grounded routine. Fast-paced communication could cause tension in the neck or strain your voice, especially if you’re not used to speaking a lot. Hydration and rest are key.
Virgo – Digestive system, intestines
Gemini shares Mercury as your ruling planet so can increase mental and digestive movement. You may feel nervous stomach or bloating if overstimulated. Slow, mindful eating and herbal teas (e.g. peppermint, chamomile).
Capricorn – Bones, knees, joints, teeth
You may find Gemini season mentally draining and physically disconnecting. Too much air energy can lead to restless sleep, dry joints or jaw tension. Try meditative stretching and consistent bedtime routines.
AIR Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius)
Gemini – Lungs, shoulders, arms, hands
This is your season, which can feel invigorating—but can also be overstimulating. Breathing exercises and hand/shoulder stretches are important. Be mindful of your respiratory health and dont spend too much time in front of a screen (phone, tablet, laptop).
Libra – Kidneys, lower back, skin
The hot and wet Gemini energy can upset your need for calm and balance. You may feel emotionally “up and down,” and skin may react to stress. Cooling herbal teas (like nettle or rose) and grounding exercises may help.
Aquarius – Ankles, circulation, nervous system
The mental spark of Gemini is exciting for you, but your nervous system may become oversorked. Restless legs, jitteriness, or trouble focusing may occur. Stay hydrated, and practice going between periods of stimulation and relaxation.
WATER Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)
Cancer – Chest, breasts, stomach
Gemini’s speed may throw off your emotional rhythm. You may feel mentally scattered or socially overwhelmed, which can affect digestion or breathing. Focus on soothing routines and time alone when needed.
Scorpio – Reproductive organs, elimination system
You may feel energised by the social buzz but could experience irritability or sleep disturbances. Gemini’s heat and movement may awaken hidden emotions. Journaling and nighttime wind-downs are helpful.
Pisces – Feet, lymphatic system, fluid balance
Gemini’s mental stimulation can dehydrate or exhaust you. You may feel mentally foggy or spread thin. Gentle yoga, warm baths, and increasing fluid intake will help you return to flow.
Gemini Season Remedies & Suggestions
Because Gemini is Hot and Wet, it can bring lightness and flexibility—but also overstimulation, scattered thinking and nervous tension. Here are some ideas that can help during this season:
• Support the lungs and nervous system: Try breathwork, chest-opening stretches, and soothing herbs like lemon balm or lavender.
• Hot and wet signs can dry out if burned too fast. Drink plenty of water and avoid excessive caffeine or sugar.
• Journal, meditate, or limit multitasking. Calm the mental buzz with quiet routines.
• Go for walks, dance, or do short bursts of activity to channel excess energy.
This season brings a flurry of activity and opportunities to learn, teach, and connect with others. However, it is important to avoid burnout, overthinking or emotional fatigue.
Blessed Be,
Alan
