I have created an Essential Oil Directory for everyone to use. It contains the properties of 50 different essential oils as well as a collection of over 100 diffuser blends that I have created/collected over time. I have also included general information about essential oils, how to dilute and their safe usage.

What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are liquids that are extracted from various parts of plants, such as leaves, flowers, stems, bark, or roots. They are highly concentrated and contain the fragrance and chemicals of the plant they were taken from. Essential oils are collected using different processes including steam distillation, cold pressing, or solvent extraction. They are used in aromatherapy, personal care products, perfume and in food preparation. Essential oils are also known for their potential benefits to our health well-being.
IMPORTANT: Essential Oil Safety
When using Essential Oils, it is important to consider the following:
ALWAYS read the label and any usage instructions.
Never ingest essential oils
Never apply essential oils directly to your skin. Even when diluted, it is recommended you do a small patch test.
Avoid applying oils to the nose, inner ears, near your eyes, in sensitive areas or on broken skin.
For use on skin, in products or in the bath, ALWAYS dilute with a carrier oil.
Check with your doctor for interactions between essential oils and any prescribed medications you are currently taking.
Some essential oils are particularly harmful during pregnancy. If unsure, avoid using and check with your doctor.
Avoid direct sunlight or UV from sun-beds for 12 hours after applying oils, particularly citrus oils, to your skin.
Store safely away from children and from any sources of intense light or heat.
Keep away from pets are some oils are toxic to animals.
Essential Oil Notes
Essential Oils grouped together based the intensity of their scent as well as the length of time it takes for the scent to evaporate. These are called the notes. This is used as a means of blending oils to create a balanced scent. However, it should be noted that you do not have to follow this idea when blending oils, You may wish to blend by scent family (see below) or by purpose. Sometimes, experimentation is the best way to find a blend that resonates( it is also good fun to experiment!)
How to Safely Dilute Essential Oils
Essential Oils DO NOT have to be diluted for use in a diffuser. Instead, they should just be added to the water in the diffuser.
It is VERY important to dilute essential to use then on skin, in self care products or when putting them in the bath.
The first thing to consider is what carrier oil you will use. This dilutes the essential oil and helps it to spread across skin. Common carrier oils include:
Grape-seed Oil
Coconut Oil
Jojoba Oil
Sweet Almond Oil
Choose a carrier that suits your skin type.
It is important to also consider the oil dilution ratio. This depends on what it is being used for:
For adults, the recommended ratio for massage oil is 2%.
For adults with sensitive skin, the recommended ratio is 1%.
For use in the bath, a ratio of between 2% and 5% can be used but I would recommend no more than 3%.
For therapeutic use, e.g. on a muscle or joint, use a ratio of between 2% and 5%.
For children and the elderly, a 1% ratio is recommended for all uses. 0.5% is suggested for babies between 6 and 12 months. They should not be used with children any younger than this.
ALWAYS CONSULT A DOCTOR ABOUT USING ESSENTIAL OILS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE EXISTING CONDITIONS, ARE ON MEDICATION OR ARE PREGNANT. ALSO SEEK THEIR ADVICE FOR USE ON CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY.
A ratio of 2% means that 2 drops of essential oil should have 98 drops of Carrier Oil. (Making 100% altogether)

Some oils have two symbols e.g. 
↔. This means it is a top to middle not. I see this as essentially a top not but one which will last a bit long and blend a bit with the middle notes when others have evaporated.

I never have them on for very long… 1 of them has timer. If possible, I will put my fan on the lowest setting so it blows away from us if he is really attached. Otherwise, I will turn it on & realize when he is… my absolute shadow for the day; I turn it off a lot sooner than I normally would; as soon as my meditation or ritual is over, snuff the incense or leave the room until it’s finished with him. Other times I won’t use it at all. I tend to look into the oils & incense for his safety & things that I should be aware of when using them. I do have days that I am unable to use either because of whatever the reason is that he is inseparable from me. (He is very imprinted on me & also very in tune with how I feel. So, there are days that I can’t get him to leave my room if I am in there or move to a different position from the diffuser. Luckily, at the head of our bed is a window that I can open at least 6 inches)

. I would only use them in the bath for therapitc purposes (e.g. calming, joint pains etc), not for your standard bath for having a wash.
