This one is half-recipe, half-craft. But I’m going to be posting some stuff with edible flowers so I though the link would be interesting.

Oh! I completely forgot - I made these two years ago and they were really fun (and tasty too!). It might be time to pick some pansies and give it another go

The mini maypoles are so cute - those would look great on a Beltane altar! :bouquet:

Great craft ideas, Amethyst, thanks for sharing!

Oh my goodness do I feel so… mish-mashed… I can’t believe it’s coming up on Beltaine already! Although this time of year is wonderful when the sun comes up and everything is starting to come back to life

I may have a couple of cookie recipes with edible flowers I’m going to post next week, and then of course that Irish Fairy Cake. That article has good advice on where to source edible flowers so I thought I’d share with everyone!

Thanks, love! Glad you liked them!

This and Early Fall are my favorite times of year, when it’s not too hot or too cold and everything’s colorful! I love it! :hibiscus:

These will always be sort in my top 3… The summer holds #1 for me… I can go into the water & not just to the edge. Something about being in the water, touching the bottom, and feeling the air while just going with the flow (quite literally) or floating around is incredibly calming for me. It helps that it also makes all of my muscles and joints feel better for at least 24 hours. So I try to make it at least 4 times a week in the summer. Usually more

I’m not lucky enough to have an ocean, just a river that’s mostly good for river rafting. Too fast for swimming. There’s Summersville Lake but everyone and their brother goes there. It’s crowed as all get out.

Oh I love rivers & creeks too! There is a huge lake by where my brother lived that I could go to everyday if lived by him… I mean really… water. As long as I’m not landlocked… I’m okay

I might have to try making a clover flower crown again this year. I’d love to make a continuous one instead of with a tie closure. Might have to go scope out a few areas to see if the clover stems are long enough

That would be pretty! I love clover, both red and white. There used to be a field of both types where I grew up but they did a watershead project. It was needed to stop flooding but the clover was gone forever after that. :sad_but_relieved_face:

Ok so I may have gone overboard. Last year I didn’t collect enough clovers so I was determined not to repeat that mistake. Part way in to making my crowns, I realized I had to pivot and decided to use everything I collected so as not to waste anything. Instead of clover crowns, I ended up with 2 clover garlands.

That is GORGEOUS! WOW! :star_struck: I am amazed at the work that went into that. That’s just awesome! I love it! So pretty!

Thank you! I have to admit I was in the zone. I think the boys and I were out on the porch for 2 hours while I made them both garlands  There’s something so rewarding about making items by hand.

I couldn’t do it. I had a hard time stringing popcorn. Those are works of art! And 2 hours? Just wow.
