Seeking Advice: Crystal Bracelets, Candle Magic & Recommended Shops

I’m reaching out to the community for a little guidance, wisdom, and recommendations today.

For the past year, I’ve made it a daily habit to match my crystal bracelets to my scrubs for my shifts. But I’ll be honest—I’m colorblind, so identifying crystal colors can be tricky, and pronouncing half their names is definitely no fun for me!

Today, I reached for all black stones because the last couple of days have been rough—not just grinding through heavy 10 AM to midnight shifts at work, but navigating intense family dynamics and drama at home. Losing clients over the past year while working these long hours carries a heavy emotional toll.

I’d love your recommendations and insight on a few things:

• Crystal & Bracelet Energy: What are your go-to stones or bracelets for heavy shielding, releasing negative baggage, and calling in deep patience and calm? (Bonus points if they’re easy to identify without stressing over slight color shades!)
• Where to Buy Authentic Crystals & Bracelets: Where are your absolute favorite, trusted places to shop online for high-vibe crystal bracelets and ritual tools? I’ve used a couple of sites online and checked out two or three local shops around the Valley, but I’d love to know where you all source yours.
• Candle Magic & Release Rituals: I love the daily candle alignments and meditations on Spells8 (they’ve been a massive anchor for me), but I’d love to hear your favorite tips, secrets, or simple release rituals using candle magic to burn away heavy mental clutter.

There is so much incredible wisdom on this board that it’s almost overwhelming—it could take a lifetime to learn it all, but I’m loving every second of this journey. Grounding by the river, meditating in the woods, and working under this recent Moon and eclipse energy has been keeping me sane.

I’m on the clock until midnight tonight, then finally have my day off tomorrow. I’d truly appreciate any advice, shop recommendations, or grounding spells you all swear by to keep your spirit protected and steady.

I’m poor, so I buy from Amazon. The best one I’ve found there is LP Beads. They fit well and are sturdy but not too expensive, so if something happens and it breaks, you won’t cry. Unless you slip on the beads and hurt your bum.

But I like the common protection stones for this. Onyx, obsidian, tourmaline. Maybe Malachite and hematite. And in looking them up, I found a new stone just now that looks interesting! Black Larvikite.

According to Crystal Council, Larvikite is a stone of inner transformation that helps one better adapt to change, as well as accept and understand any benefits that may come with it. Change is constant, with the world around us forever transitioning. To personally (as well as spiritually) evolve on this planet, one must be able to withstand and “weather the storm”.

It sounds like a great crystal! I need one of those. Along with the other fifty I have on my wish list!

Also, if you want to, you can add amethyst, which is great for just about everything, and rose quartz, which can help calm emotions. They might help you out!

Firstly, I would look up your Birth Chart to do this you will need Date, Year, Time, Place. if you then search on the internet it will give you a chart. The main three are Sun, Moon and Rising Zodiac Signs. For an example mine are. I gave her the following crystal choices.

Colour of Symbol - Sagittarius Purple

Sun - Sagittarius - Sunstone

Moon - Scorpio - Selenite or Citrine

Rising - Libra - Ametrine or Amethyst

Then you can look up what crystals which you could use during rituals and hopefully find a bracelet(s) best for you to wear.

I do buy a bit from Etsy and I have today ordered a Personalised Handmade Soul Mirror Talisman which you can have at home or it is small enough to carry with you. It is handmade clay pebble filled with herbs, flowers and will have crystals on the outside. I attach a photograph from the website mine will be different to this as it will be tailored to me.

Another item I have is a Selenite Crystal Wand Stick and when you come home just pass the wand from head to toe and this will release any unwanted energies again this is portable to take with you.

You could do a home cleanse a simple one is to open the windows and external doors if you can to use the Air Element, ring a little bell or all four corners of each room, you could use a sage incense stick or a palo santo stick and use a white feather to fan the smoke spreading the scared cleansing. Or if you cannot use incense or smoke you can buy an organic spray for cleansing and re-energising around your space and home. You should be able to get these from Amazon or Etsy or on websites on the internet.

There are lots of crystals that you can have around your home I would put them in a group of 3. I have Malachite, Smoky Quartz, Black Tourmaline on my windowsill by my front door.

That Handmade Soul Mirror Talisman sounds incredible—I love that it’s made of clay, packed with herbs and flowers, and personalized with crystals. Having something grounding you can carry anywhere is exactly what I need right now. And the Selenite crystal wand tip is genius; passing that from head to toe after walking through the door after heavy shifts sounds like the perfect release ritual.
I’m a double Sagittarius with Gemini rising, so I’ve always been drawn to astrology and the cosmos. With the tools on my phone now, I can finally listen, watch, and really comprehend it all. I’m a total sponge right now eager to soak up more!
Up until now, I’ve only done a simple smoke cleanse on the 1st and the end of each month with all the windows open (just following what I’d heard before). Incense has been an absolute staple in my home since I was a teenager—I light it the minute I walk through the door.
I’ve actually never used Etsy before, so I will definitely be browsing that site tonight on my downtime! Also, what exactly are Palo Santo sticks and how do they work compared to regular incense or sage?

I’m a bit confused. My solar birthstones according to traditional lists are peridot and tiger eye, but when I looked up zodiac stones, no two matched! I could be

Leo- Citrine

Virgo moon- Peridot

Scorpio Rising- Opal

Or agate, carnelian, chrysoprase… Or any other combination. It’s easy to just buy out the whole store and forget it.

There are many combinations you can have with Birthstones when researching I picked the ones which I felt that I needed most it might not always be the first one it is what you are drawn to plays a big part as you need to feel it inside as otherwise the energies may not be as powerful as you were expecting. I also taken into account the elements.

Fire Signs I feel s that the Sun at your time of birth Sunstone would be a powerful one. That was my choice as I am also drawn to the Moon and Sun, with the Moon it could also be Topaz for me but again as I am a Hedge Witch and Selenite is a crystal known as “The Heavenly Key” I thought that this would be my first choice but if the person cannot get Selenite then Citrine is full of joy and abundance so when I hold it those energies are contained within it.

Trust your instincts they will serve you well.

Sun - Leo Sunstone as Leo is connected to the Sun or Citrine or Tigers Eye, Peridot.

Moon - Virgo - Flourite, Cornelian, Amazonite

Rising - Scorpio - Opal as you have said but also Ametrine or Amethyst

Off to Raven’s Rock in Ohio for my day off! Waterfalls, caves, and deep woods—my absolute sanctuary.

So, I can´t recommend any cool online shops, because I´m in a different corner of the world.
BUT when it comes to choosing crystals or bracelets I´m always just going for the vibe (this is the chaos witch approach) and the assumption that whatever I choose is what I´ll need for the day. Just like with Tarot cards or Runes, right…
You could also call in your spirit guide or any other helpful energies to guide you to choosing the perfect bracelet for the day. Or you could use your pendulum - pendulums work so well for choosing herbs, crystals, jewellery etc.
