Heck yeah, modifying them is definitely the way to go! I want to do tutorials for my wrap-style tarot pouches but I don’t have time right now. I’m working on a hooded cabled capelet for a friend of mine. It’s a pattern I’m designing all on my own so it’s taken me quite a while to get it done I’m not even halfway there yet!
I’ll post pictures when I’m done with it but it’s nowhere near photo-ready yet.
I can’t wait to see the bags you make if you decide to share!
So, the button… I have this bag… kind of a catch-all; believe it or not when I was couch/bed bound it just helped me keep the smaller things by myself. (just all tossed in there sometimes drove me nuts ) Originally I was looking for a darker color but all that was in there were the ones used on the onesies. Then I found this thinner unopened bag of wooden buttons right next to the darning needle I was looking for, so I opened it & found it… my husband asked me if something was wrong because I squealed when I saw the button & just thought
“THIS IS THE BUTTON!!!”
(Honestly, I thought it… if I had actually said it with as much excitement as I was in, my husband would have been really confused & asking me if I was dehydrated or anything )
My husband would have been like… it’s a button. I would have said, “But it’s THE button.” He’d say… I’m not sure what to do with that information & walk out.
You are very welcome! Fortunately, the hunt for hooks & needles is over My daughter helped me grab a few different colors & types of yarn to hold me over for a few pouches & now I have an addiction to making pouches for decks… either the deck, deck & guidebook or the box containing both. It depends on their size & weight. Then choosing charms is a whole other thing
In the end, I wasn’t able to knit my own hat and I bought it, but my grandmother made some little flowers to personalize them and I’m absolutely in love!! I’m so happy that I hardly ever take it off! And it has a little touch of my dear granny, so it’s even more special for me!!
