Finding Deity when you cannot MEDITATE!

I don’t have a terrific attention span and trying to visualize or meditate makes me fall asleep!
If this helps anyone - I have found that when looking to work with Deity, the best way you can meditate or visualize is in the shower! I mean- don’t fall asleep but just zone out! Most people do in the shower anyway! You aren’t driving, you aren’t in a bath where you can drown and you aren’t in your bed ready to snore!
The second way I can find out which Deity wants to work with you or vice versa - tarot readings! I use my tarot cards everyday anyway and this is yet another wonderful excuse to get to use them.
Thanks for letting me talk. <3

Huh. I never thought of trying to meditate in the shower. I may try that. Only if my water heater holds out though. LOL. Thanks for the tip!

I spend a lot of time in the shower when there is something pressing on my mind or I need to relax. I just love feeling the hot water run over me & wash away stress. I love to play Woke Nation while I’m in there or some other music. This is a great idea!

The shower is one of the best places to meditate! :relaxed: It’s a great way to unwind and it also gets ideas and creativity flowing.

I agree with the advice @Aedreysa! The shower is a perfect place for introspection and all sorts of discoveries happen there (at least for me)!

I’d like to add that not all pagans/witches work with a specific deity and no one should feel rushed to find their deity. Sometimes it’s just not part of your path.

Cheers to that, @Aedreysa- I also love shower and bath meditations! :bathtub: :sparkles: I tend to prefer bath meditations so that I don’t feel guilty about leaving the water running  , but sometimes a quick meditation is all there is time for and a shower is perfect for that! :shower:

Connecting with a deity through tarot is a wonderful experience too! :+1: May I ask if you have any favorite tarot spreads or rituals that you like to do when working with your deity?

Favorite spreads are the days of the week and daily reading.
I connect also with business and career reading so any career spreads are great! I also love reading cards for different altar ideas or as a way to organize and clean!

So many great ideas for tarot spreads, @Aedreysa - I particularly love the idea of reading cards for altar inspiration :sparkles:

You are inspiring me to try new readings for the cards- it is fun to use tarot in new and creative ways! :star_struck:

Oh these are wonderful ideas! I both knit & crochet! I can get lost doing that like I do in a book. I think I am going to try it the next time I knitting. A friend of mine is having a baby around July & I want to knit a couple of onesies for them.
