A full moon happens when the moon is directly opposite the sun from the Earth. This means that the side of the moon facing Earth is fully illuminated by the sun, making it appear as a complete circle of light in the night sky.
As with anything in witchcraft, there are many different beliefs on what type of magick should be done during a Full Moon. Some witches believe banishing should be done. Others believe intentions should be set for manifestations. Still, others (such as myself) believe that the Full Moon is the best time for literally any spell you want because the energy is at its highest.
During the Full Moon, the Triple Goddess becomes the Mother of all beings. It’s a great time to work on intuition, spells of love, and prosperity. The Snow Moon
February’s Full Moon is known as the Snow Moon in the Northern Hemisphere. This is because, in many parts of the Northern Hemisphere, there is still snow on the ground (or it is still cold for the area). According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, “Captain Jonathan Carver, who had visited with the Naudowessie (Dakota), wrote that the name used for this period was the Snow Moon, 'because more snow commonly falls during this month than any other in the winter.'”
I can tell you for where I am right now, there has been snow on the ground for weeks because it hasn’t been warm enough to melt it all! I’m lucky I haven’t turned into a popsicle! 
In the Southern Hemisphere, this Full Moon may be known as the Grain Moon, the Sturgeon Moon, the Red Moon, or many others. Feel free to adapt this ritual to your local area or take the Full Sturgeon Moon Ritual and make it work for you!
The Sign of Leo
Leo is the Lion of the zodiac, a fixed fire sign ruled by The Sun. This sign is outgoing and extroverted, a sign that loves to live life to the fullest. Leo is loyal and often exudes a sense of ambition and drive. This carries them forward even through the most difficult of times. They tend to be proud, sometimes to their detriment, letting their ego drive them rather than their logic or heart. Leo enjoys being in the spotlight, though, and will do whatever it takes to have the attention when they want it.

Magick for the Leo Snow Moon
Combining the flamboyant energy of Leo with the soothing energy of the Snow Moon might seem counterintuitive – one is soft and quiet while the other is loud and proud. The Full Snow Moon in Leo might be a good time for you to balance these two sides of yourself. If you tend to be more quiet and reserved, seeking out places where you can be proud might benefit you. It will allow you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace a different side of yourself. Spellwork involving friendship and confidence will be good for you!
