Hi, @grace4! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots:

It’s nice to meet you! I’m happy you’ve chosen us to help you explore. Don’t be shy to ask questions, even silly or stupid ones. They may not be all that silly in the long run. I’ve asked a couple of weird ones that have turned into interesting conversations.

Also, a bit of advice to a new witch: Don’t run out and buy everything! See what you actually will use and need, and then buy it. I wasted too much money getting things that I didn’t use. LOL! That was money I could have spent on books!

Anyhow, welcome to the coven! I’m looking forward to getting to know you!

Greetings from New Mexico!

Welcome @grace4!

I’m glad your intuition has led you here. May your path run smoothly while you are learning. There is a lot here, so take your time. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, though I know there is more of a feeling of overwhelm and not knowing how to put the words together at first. We are a friendly group of people from all over the world, each with our own specialties, and we are happy to share what we have learned and are learning.

Welcome, @grace4 and Merry Meet! I think it’s wonderful that you’ve been doing your own research, following your instincts and taking these important steps on your new path.

We’re happy you’re here! This is a great place to learn, the site is full of great information and a variety of classes. I’m Feathertip, from SE Michigan. I’m a lifelong Pagan and Green witch, growing herbs and working closely with Nature and her critters. I practice Yogic meditation and use Lenormand cards for divination.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions about anything! Enjoy your journey, lovely. :sparkles: :feather:

Hello @grace4 and Merry Meet! :purple_heart:

It´s good to have you here! Welcome to the forum! :purple_heart:
Here on Spells8 you can find so much information about literally anything and everything a witch would like to learn. The courses are really cool and the many threads here in the forum encourage learning as well.
You can join the Witchy Challenge, where we explore different topics. Our lovely @BryWisteria surprises us always with new, fun challenges and right now is catch-up time, where all the challenges are re-opened to explore and participate!

I´m Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I´m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my practice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons.

The forum is huge and it takes time to get to know everything. The people here are very sweet and helpful, so just make yourself known if there´s any questions, someone will certainly show up to help you.

Brightest blessings! :dizzy:

I’m Shanna and currently living in Michigan. I’m very new to my journey as well, but I am gaining confidence everyday because of this group! I don’t know what kind of witch I will become yet, but I have a deep connection with water and am enjoying exploring my inner green witch this spring in my garden.

So happy to meet you.

Howdy there, grace!

My name’s Kristina. I’m from your neighboring state, Louisiana!

Welcome to spells8!

You’re really really going to enjoy it here! There’s so much to learn, and so many nice people to learn from! Just watch out for @BryWisteria , she’s a little feisty. I’m kidding I’m kidding! She’s the sweetest of them all!

I started 6-7 years ago, and I dove in head first, and well, STILL DIVING! :joy: I started my journey from being targeted by an unseen entity, and I was so afraid and felt so helpless, that I got into the occult to get a better understanding of how witch craft can keep you safe and protected from paranormal activities.. (I swear, I feel like a fog horn in a library, in the astral plane sometimes because no matter what, I just attract unseen forces). Witchcraft has extremely been nothing but beneficial to me, and honestly, I think it’s beneficial for anyone and everyone, if they play their cards right and have the proper intentions! Over the years, or more recently I should say, I decided that I was ready for Cajun gris gris, which is what is locally and culturally appropriate for me.

What kind of craft are you interested in?

Plz don’t be quick to pick one… as long as it’s an open practice, I say really get to feel em all! There’s nothing wrong with educating yourself about different cultures and practices. There’s no right or wrong way to do this stuff. But you just gotta be all In…

I wouldn’t recommend witch craft to anyone who’s using it as a trend or just because you’re a little bored. Witch craft is not for aesthetics, idc what tiktok says. This is the real deal, and sometimes it can be very frightening, but that’s only if you let it be that way, which it shouldn’t be that way, because gotta stay grounded.

Hope you enjoy yourself, and welcome to the coven! :hugs:

Your Cajun friend,

Kristina

Greetings @grace4 and welcome!

My name is Kat, and I practice bioregional animism grounded in the North Carolina Piedmont, blending science and magick. I’ve been practicing for over 30 years. I create divination tools adapted to my local ecosystem, including ogham staves and seasonal tree sets. I also read tarot. I’ve studied herbalism, make my own herbal teas, and enjoy working in herb and vegetable gardens. My practice is hands-on: I craft tools, make runes and deity figurines, and bind my own journals.

There is a wonderful search function that will help you dig for more information in the forums!

We’re glad you’re here. Make yourself comfortable, explore at your own pace, and feel free to ask any questions you might have!
