Full-Corn-Moon-Witchcraft-Ritual

Sunday, September 7 *
*(The moment of peak illumination depends on your time zone)

This week, the skies will shine with the beauty of a full moon. The exact time of peak illumination will depend on your location.

September’s moon is the Full Corn Moon :corn: in the Northern Hemisphere. It is named for the yearly harvest of corn at this time of year. In the Southern Hemisphere, this month’s moon is the Full Worm Moon :worm:, representing a season of thawing.

A note that, although September’s moon is sometimes the Harvest Moon, this year the full moon closest to the equinox is in October. So the Harvest Moon will be next month in early October.

Full-Moon-Magic-Spells-Witchcraft-360x240

While each moon has its unique qualities, every full moon is a celebrated time when the energy of the moon is at its most powerful. Now is a wonderful time to charge, cleanse, and absorb the potent energies of the moon.

[ [ Astrological Event: Lunar Eclipse :black_circle: ] ]

Blood-Moons-Guide-2024-2025-360x240

Sunday, September 7

The skies will grow dark in some places as the Earth passes between the Full Moon and the Sun, blocking light and causing the Moon to fade from view - this is a Lunar Eclipse, an exciting time with unique effects on spellwork. The time and visibility of the eclipse will depend on your location :map:

While some choose to abstain from magick during the eclipse, others find this to be an interesting time for eclipse magick. To learn more and hear about everyone’s thoughts and experiences, visit the eclipse tag for relevant discussions.

Whoa!!! Congratualtions on the double shout out and the special badge @Greenbriar Thank you for being such a shining star in the forum!!!

Congratuations to all the recipients of this past month’s special award!! You make the forum a warm and welcome place!

My week is off and running. SO is off this week and retiring to part-time the following week (pray for me!!!.) I have to drive to a Tennessee airport on Tuesday evening to start overnight in a hotel for an interview for my Global Entry Application on Wednesday morning. Then Thursday, I have my initial appointment with a new GYN doctor. Then fall bird field trips start next week! Going to be a busy month!

Wishing everyone a wonderful start to their week and their new month!

Congratulations @Greenbriar! Double award today and a streak! Wow! Thank you for all you do, m’dear! You’re awesome!

And congratulations to all my fellow W.I.T.C.Hes! @Artemisia, @dan3, @georgia, @Greenbriar, @Mystique, @tracyS and @anon59397935! Wow, we’re quite the bunch! Thank you for helping me welcome everyone!

Oh my! I’m sorry for you, dear. He’ll be driving you nuts in a month! LOL!

That’s an understatement! Good luck with all your… stuff! All of it’s important and I wish you luck for the entire month! :four_leaf_clover:

As for me, I’m having a rare, lazy Monday. I usually run around to doctor appointments, but thanks to Labor Day here in the States, I don’t have any. So I made myself a cup of Carmel Apple tea to enjoy while replying to posts here.

This week, I don’t have many plans yet. That is subject to change. LOL! I have an eye doctor appointment along with my regular weekly Wound Care appointment, but other than that, unless something bad happens, I am good to go! I don’t have any plans other than paying bills. So exciting!

I have decorated my Dreamwidth journal, my PC, and my phone for Fall. Everything else will have to wait until after the Equinox. But man, I am counting down the days! I have too much Halloween stuff, but I can’t find it in me to care! I’ll fit it all in! I’m starting to buy things for the walls. Frames are costly, even at the Dollar Store, though. So next year I may get some Goth postcards to put up!

Here’s to hoping everyone has a good Monday and a good week!

Wow! What can I say! Thank you for the new badge. I honestly didn’t think I had been that busy in here! But what can I say, I’m retired, and I love it here :-)

My week ahead will be pretty slow up until Friday. On Friday will be the first meeting of our garden club, after the summer break. We’re not have a speaker or demonstration, it will be a business meeting, with updates from the committee chairs, and since this will be my first meeting as Recording Secretary, taking the minutes, I’m stressing a bit, but I’m sure it will be fine.

I’ve got my Witchy planner all decorated for September, with stickers from Amy at Magical Crafting, so I’m ready to get this month started.

Creatively, I’m working on some Halloween themed Artist Trading Cards for a swap at ATCs for all, and I’ve been playing with AI image generators on Night Cafe.

I am back from the vacation I mentioned a week or so back - I had such a great time! We went to London and Paris and pretty much ate our way across the Atlantic! The weather couldn’t have been been better, and everyone was so nice.

It was wonderful to get away, and it’s also wonderful to be back! Now I’m catching up on laundry, cleaning up cat-yak, and scrubbing the bird crap off the feeders. It took me a good 48 hours to shake off the jetlag and get back to regular sleeping.

Trying to catch up on everything I missed! Love you all!

Congrats to @Greenbriar !!

And congrats to all the W.I.T.C.Hes this month! I certainly have felt so so so welcome by you guys and I’m super grateful to have been treated so kindly.

The last two days have couple days have been a bit crazy as I decided I was tired of being stuck in bed, and busted out my wheelchair that I rarely use. technically its my grandpas as my own wheel chair was custom made for me as a teenager and Im now 30 and it doesnt fit me anymore so grandpa is allowing me to use his until I can get a new one through my insurance. He never uses it anyway, it’s from when he was very ill last year. Anyway Ive been loving being able to get about the house without the debilitating dizziness and tachycardia I get from my health condition, its the worst its been in years cause I just got over covid. we even went to Michael’s to do some shopping the other day.

Im looking forward to the inner child challenge and the tarot thread right now the most on here. I printed the September planner pages last week so Im gunna get started using that today and Im hoping to plan what I’ll be doing for the eclipse and for my inner child challenge.

Hope you guys all have a good week!!

Thank you for the congrats, @Feathertip . I’m glad you enjoyed your vacation “across the pond” and glad the weather was kind to you.

I can completely empathize with you having difficulty getting over the jet lag. It does take it’s toll!

@kimberley3 I’m glad you’ve been able to get up and out of bed a little bit, with the help of your gandfather’s wheelchair. I hope your insurance comes through soon and you can get your own customized chair again. Have fun working with the planner pages and making your plans for the eclipse.

Hi, @kimberley3 ! I’m happy to hear you have been out and about - good for you for busting out that wheelchair! I hope you get your own very soon. So sorry you are recovering from Covid - best wishes for an ongoing recovery so you can keep getting out. Sounds like you have a busy week scheduled - have fun! I want to do the challenge too, so I’m looking forward to seeing you over there.

Blessings. :sparkles: :feather:

We were over there for over a decade and I never saw Paris. The SO made it. I was always on the road doing weird things.

Food is ALWAYS a great way to enjoy a vacation even more.

@dan3 - thank you!

I am sorry that I have been MIA for a week. Having my Dad and my Aunt here really did Zeus and I in pretty good. That negative Energy festered into this apartment like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I spent over a week sleeping all day. Zeus felt it too. I saged four times. Finally yesterday I started to feel better. Today I am finally back to being up early again. Perhaps too early, but I did slept way too much over the last 7 days! It is really good to be back. I missed everyone! :purple_heart::woman_mage:t2::hamsa::kiss_mark:

Happy Monday Thursday, friends! :sparkles:

I can’t believe it’s already Thursday… I’m trying my best to get used to the new schedule with my classes, and it seems like I miss out on some forum stuff on days I have class because time is limited. That’s okay, though! I’m here, things are going well, and everything is moving forward.

I did catch a cold, though – I’m not surprised because my kiddo also started school last week. So, she brought something gross home with her, and I caught it. I’ve reinforced hand hygiene, cough etiquette, etc., and hopefully, that helps for the rest of the school year.

I a,m so sorry! How yucky! Good for you for reinforcing that though!
