@celineelise @Satans_Helper what beautiful gardens you have! @Lunadragon I can’t wait to see yours!
I’m gonna try growing herbs inside. I can’t get outside by myself. I’m going to buy some small plants. I don’t do well with seeds!
Thankyou baby. We will see how this year goes. Anything can happen
I’m the same way. I’ve tried seeds 3 times and they never grow. I’m waiting for the greenhouses to open up here so I can get starter plants.
I was going to wait for my seed starter kick come l
but I tried it this just start something myself can’t wait to show you guys some of the outcomes
Looking awesome! May they all grow big and thrive
If I don’t post in a few of hours, remind me to take pictures of my seed starting! I keep getting distracted from starting my seeds and I NEED to get going on this if I’m going to have transplants ready in time, so you can help me be accountable
Gotcha I’ll be reminding u
Took me longer to post as I had to take care of dinner and cleanup but I did get some of my seeds started! I ordered more seed starters yesterday but had some leftover from last year.
I planted Cinnamon Basil, Rosemary, Super Nacho Jalapeno, Super Sweet Cherry Tomato, Holy Basil, Pacific Beauty Calendula, Empress of India Nasturtium, Royal Family Sweet Pea, Marshmallow, English Lavender, Absinthe, Mugwort, and White Sage.
I’ve got a second seed starter ready to plant with the next wave in a week or so. It’s also time to sow outside as well but haven’t had a chance to clean the garden and amend the soil yet.

Wow, that’s a whole bunch of fun plants!
Your set-up looks amazing, @Artemisia - they look so snug and happy in their trays. May they all grow big and strong this season!
I’m so jelly right now
How did you guys feel about the trial of Salem and do you think it’s still going on a different way today
For sure. There are always people labelled as outcasts in a way that makes them persecuted. It gets really dangerous when it’s because of who they are.
Now this example is kind of unrelated, but I’ve been meaning to bring it up for a little while…
I was watching an episode of Lore about Elizabeth Báthory and afterwards decided to do some reading to see how much of the story might be true. I’m now not so sure she was the serial killer she’s been made out to be. Check this out:
Nagy argued that the proceedings against Báthory were largely politically motivated, possibly due to her extensive wealth and ownership of large areas of land in Hungary, which increased after the death of her husband. The theory is consistent with Hungarian history at that time, which included religious and political conflicts, especially relating to the wars with the Ottoman Empire, the spread of Protestantism and the extension of Habsburg power over Hungary. - Elizabeth Báthory - Wikipedia
The Habsburgs have a ridiculous reputation for being absolutely horrible. Framing someone to this extent is something they would do. I mean, 300 witnesses sound like irrefutable evidence. But we live in 2024 – we know it’s pretty easy to coerce or convince people to do something like this or even inflate numbers to sound greater than they really are.
Is this the lady who so say bathed in the blood of women to stay young? I have watched Lore. If it’s her, I did find it fantastical that she would be accused of this. In those days any woman who had independence, power or money would’ve been harshly dealt with. History is written by the victors in so many cases, and hysteria is nothing new, that’s what got those women killed in Salem, and is pretty much behind most witch-hunts. Just my view
I feel like the Salem witch trials was a terrible injustice because of the lack of knowledge and understanding back then. I love reading and learning about the Salem Witch trials one of my favorite witches is a Salem witch named Lorelei. if you like the Salem witch trials I recommend checking out this utube video it’s one of my favorites.

Yeah, that’s her. It’s the second episode of season 2.
Or knowledge. So much of “witchcraft” is “simply” herbalism for healing. That’s a threat to the growing medical industry, even way back then.
Still today, they (government/ conventional medicine) keep trying to find a way to stop herbalism here. They’ve taken a few potshots at it, but so far it’s got to regulating it with legitimate qualified herbalists as opposed to stopping it. Sad really, as the two could work so well together.
We’re planning a vacation to Salem this summer
Ironically, this was my Catholic son’s idea! He was learning about the Salem witch trials in theology!
