Thank you for my new badge and for organizing these wonderful challenges each week! I look forward to them every week.
I’m still not 100% on my entry. I realize now why the bracelet had been sitting in a tray broken and tarnished… the stones are so heavy the bracelet rotates so that the stones are facing down all the time. Hmmmm well, I put that time into polishing and charging it so I guess I have to figure out a way to put the stones in their setting on a leather cuff I’ve got some tooling leather, leather dye, and tools so… maybe?
My apologies in advance @Artemisia if you have done what I am going to suggest…. I am interested in ensuring you performed a cleansing on the bracelet/stones prior to charging them. If they have been sitting in a tray, and depending on where you got the stones and/or how long they have been dormant, you could have a few issues with charging something that has not already been cleansed for a few reasons. Also, you were right to charge them since they have been dormant and they will need that energy (after they are cleansed properly). I think Labradorite is one of the absolute best stones to use in a day to day practice and not just on occasion. I’m sure you’re well versed on this beautiful crystal, but I wanted to share a website with you in case it provided any more information for you along your new found bracelet and ‘stylish witch’ journey best to you with the bracelet, Light and love!
No apologies are necessary, it’s always nice to have reminders as sometimes I do let things slip through the cracks from forgetfulness. I had not yet cleansed the stones since recovering them from my tray! I appreciate the reminder and the additional information. I’ll be certain to read through the website you shared and cleanse the stones before I start to work on rehoming them into a cuff bracelet.
Oh great — I was reminded because I was doing some of my own cleaning and clearing out this holiday weekend and researching a stone I found, and it was saying things about how they can absorb negative energies while sitting around, and also how some stones/crystals can have other intentions in them or even hexes and negative charms if you used them another way in the past and then had not cleansed them… or received them as gifts, in the mail, from passed on family members, etc. I think your stones are beautiful!
It has been an honor watching the Witchy Fashion Show- thanks again for sharing your own wonderful styles!
Next challenge, coming right up! The announcement will appear on the main page of the forum (or you can pop into the Activities category- it will be right near the top). I hope it’s a theme you enjoy!
It sounds like an idea you can bring to life! Your bracelet looks amazing now and I’m sure it would look just as good (and definitely more comfortable to wear- it’s frustrating when jewelry keeps flipping around!) in the new leather setting.
Wishing you all the best with your crafting, Artemisia- good luck and have fun with it!
