How fun! This must have been a blast. Don’t worry about some of these shots being a little soft - I know that shooting at night can be tricky, just from the flare of lights, let alone shooting from the car!
These look great. ![]()

Wow, those houses really went full scale! Amazing!
Don’t feel bad about the fuzzy pics. The joy of the season still came through in the photos.
Thank you @Feathertip and @Greenbriar. You are very kind.
CHALLENGE ENTRY - CURES AND REMEDIES
My husband got me a starter apothecary kit for Christmas, because I have always done herbal healing, but have not often made my own stuff. Now I can!
What a great gift! I cannot wait to see what you create, beautiful!
There are a few I plan to do immediately, like the stress relieving tincture, and sleep tincture. I already have rosemary hair oil going.
Those sound amazing! I need both lol!
What a great gift! Your hubby is a keeper!
So cool! I’ll have to look them up and see if I can get one.
I received a set of 100 tea lights.
It’s a great kit. It comes with a double boiler, a funnel, a strainer. Measuring spoons, jars, dropper bottles and tins, in addition to the herbs. Wow, 100 tea lights will last you awhile!
How beautiful and practical! It will be fun to see what you can now cook up! Wonderful gift. ![]()
I use a set of 5 every couple of days when I am up to my usual practice.
So about 20 days. Today, I chose to burn a fresh set out- to feel cozy on a lovely rainy day. May New Mexico get all the precipitation it needs to grow and sustain the population.
Your set sounds valuable and worth the price!
Witch Challenge - Colorful Candle Magick for Amethyst:
Hey all!
For my catch-up spell, I’m doing a color magic spell. I always associate the middle and dark colors of blues with peace and protection. Probably because of my early fascination with cop shows. LOL!
For a bit, before I cast this spell a couple of months ago, I was worried about privacy and protection. It was probably because I got new neighbors who were fundamentalists. But this spell has worked a treat for me!
I use a dark blue, well, police blue candle. If you wish, dress it with your favorite protective oils and herbs. Light it, and then charge five somewhat large crystals with the idea of putting up a shield all around your home. You might need more crystals if it’s a big place, as I only have a small apartment that was enough for me. I used Black Tourmaline, Smokey Quartz, Labradorite, Amethyst, and a crystal ball of Obsidian.
Once they are charged, say the following chant:
As I light this candle, I put out a call
for my Guides and Helpers to put up a wall.
A wall for privacy and protection,
so send back all negativity with a reflection.
Keep away prying eyes and gossip so harmful,
and my gratitude will be yours by the armful!
With these sacred stones, let me set a ward,
so that all evil will be blocked with an elemental sword.
I make this wish three times three,
as I will, so mote it be!
Let the candle burn for three nights consecutively, and place four of the crystals near the four cardinal points of the compass in your home. I put the Black Tourmaline behind the front door, Smokey Quartz on the shelves in the living room, Labradorite in front of my big windows, and the Amethyst in my bedroom.
The obsidian crystal ball I keep on my desk/altar. Every night before I go to bed, I make sure the wards are up by visualizing protectors where the stones are. Mine usually take the shape of my favorite characters from Law and Order, with a side helping of Batman and Iron Man. Use whatever image works for you!
And that’s it! I hope it works for you if you need it!
This is an awesome protection squad! I loved watching Law and Order, Special Victims Unit with my mom. She loved cop shows too. My favorite is Criminal Minds, the OG cast.
I wanted to try a multi-medium divination spread for the coming year - using Coastal Crow and Raven Tarot as well as the bronze runes I created, my bioregional Ogham staves, and trying out my newly created Winter Tree Divination tokens.
PART ONE: Honoring 2024 (Looking Back)
PART TWO: Standing at the Threshold (The Now)
What I Release (Rune) - What needs to fall away, what I’m leaving behind
Eihwaz - I am releasing something that needs to die so something else can be born.
What I Carry Forward (Ogham) - The roots/wisdom I’m bringing with me
Rowan - I carry forward Rowan’s fierce protective energy and its power to spark and quicken things into being, it’s my shield.
My Current Foundation (Tarot) - Where I actually stand right now
The Magician - I’m standing with a foundation of mastery and agency, at the threshold as someone who know how to work magic.
PART THREE: Tending 2025 (Looking Forward)
PART FOUR: Rooted Wisdom
I’m trying to squeeze this post in at the end of the day to meet the challenge, but I’ll come back after the thread reopens to add card/rune/token names, as well as general meanings/keywords.
