Be safe out there! I remember such nastiness, and I wouldnât trade you. Yet you are needed , and I honor your sacrifice.
WITCH CHALLENGE - Creative Magick
My first idea has its parts somewhere between here and China⌠probably caught in ice. ![]()
This is a burnable Witchâs Jar. It is made with a cardboard tube and some card stock. Any tube could be made to work, including large shipping tubes or toilet paper tubes. This one is a small tube (look for them in cores of things like string, cord, paper, etc). It is only 32 mm in diameter. My spell jars are small but can hold a good deal of stuff. One like this has amethyst crystals, a rolled up spell, a witchâs ladder, a sigil, and a note from the target of the spell. It has room for more.
In the picture, the tabs on the lids (made from card stock) should have been made just a tad longer. When they are short, they look nice but are a pain to get glued right. The glue is water soluble white glue (school glue).
While they look fine bare, decoration is always fun so I printed a Tree of Life on regular paper and glued it over the outside. Iâve made a few so the time for me to make one is not bad⌠probably 30 minutes. It is worth it to me because it will leave no trace after I have used it.
The small ones could be burned inside the house if you are pure of heart but really should be burned outside. The flame is small but more than normally seen inside.
That is really cool! I love the tree of life decoration!
Thanks! We were discussing this in another thread and I said I didnât think it qualified for here. Megan encouraged me to use it. It is just a paper tube so I had to give it a little glam.
Iâm glad you shared it here, too!
The challenges are pretty open-ended. While thereâs an overall theme, itâs up to the individual person to determine what that looks like for them. I will always encourage sharing a challenge entry if you feel like it fits!
Thatâs a really neat idea! And I love that tree of life.
Brilliant idea. I live in an apartment, so I canât burn them at all. Yet having a cardboard tube instead of glass is quick and easy for one who doesnât eat a lot of pickles or jelly!
Itâs also ecologically sound to use instead of the plastic bottles and jars so easy to obtain in todayâs groceries.
You probably arenât alone. In this case, as long as there isnât anything nasty in the jar, just soak it in water for a day or two and stir it up. Flush the sludge. ![]()
In fact, if you make it small, you could flush it as is. The one I made is flushable but I would still cut it up⌠a solution not available for the hard ones.
One week to go!
Wow, look at all these talented crafts and beautiful skills on display! A big thank you to everyone who has shared their creative magick with the coven during the first week of the challenge
![]()
For those still pondering what to share, no fear - plenty of time remains on the challenge clock. There is one more week until this challenge closes.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your creative crafting projects!
Blessed be ![]()
Thank you
Items always mean more to me when love and effort go into them. At I am on the last parts of making the straps and then sewing the cotton lining by hand to the inside of the bag once I attach the straps which I have already sewn and overlocked so it is ready to go.
OK⌠I need to meditate to visualize⌠usually. This flashed in my brain the second you said it. Funny for a bystander but totally frustrating for the one trying to get it all off. Glitter is evil. ![]()
I totally agree. Iâm a hands on klutz sometimes but making something and then using it generates a powerful vibe.
This is an addition to my burnable witchâs jar entry. Some parts showed up yesterday so I finished what I was going to do first.
I wanted something to fiddle with when waiting (I wait a lot). First, I figured a Witchâs Ladder but I decided to bling it up. This is a beaded bracelet with nine blue tigerâs eye stones and nine clear quartz stones.
By Bead of One, The Spellâs Begun
Itâs beautiful! I love tigerâs eye and even more so blue tigerâs eye stones!
I love the money part. You should edit your post and enter âChallenge Entryâ. It is worthy!
How do I do that?
Under your post you wish to edit, there is a pencil/pen icon. click on that and your post will come up in an edit screen. Click on the screen and arrow to the top and type away!
Ha! Iâm editing this one. I would love to know a little about the thing you made. I use dollar bills as bookmarks but they keep disappearing ![]()
I wait tables, I keep my CC receipts and cash in there. Hidden in the pockets are other crafty goodiesđ
Agreed. I find it even more meaningful even when gifts are hand made as i know how much love, effort and energy went into it ![]()
