I got this from the same website.

How to Make Holy Water

The process of making Holy Water can be as complicated or as simple the individual is feeling confident with. The 2 essential steps are: 1) The use of collected water either from the tap, rain, a sacred river etc. 2) Connection with the Divine in order to channel the Divine Energy into the water. Below and in our video I present a slightly more detailed process which I have found to be very effective for both beginners and more adept Witches. We provide the ingredients and the Steps below:

Ingredients for the Holy Water:

Water, Salt,

A glass,

A vessel for storage (a vial, a bottle etc.),

A pen

A sheet of A4 paper

Steps to create Holy Water

1. A sacred symbol of your choice is being drawn on the paper and is placed in a circle. The perimeter of the circle should be large enough to surround the glass. This circle will act as a focal point in order to infuse the water with the properties we want and the circle will assist in our visualisation.

2. Add water in the glass and add a pinch of salt. Then Say:

ā€œWater and Salt I mix now, The Elixir of Life and Death is being created, May the Light always Surround it, Blessed beā€

You can swirl the mixture with your wand, a spoon or with your finger. However, please remember that you have cleaned any objects that you are going to use (aseptic technique is not required but recommended).

3. Place the Glass with the Water and Salt on the sheet of paper so that it covers the Holy Symbol and the bottom of the glass is surrounded by the perimeter of the circle.

4. Visualise a ray of White Light coming from the Heavens/God(s) through the ceiling creating a column that encompasses the glass and connects with the Holy symbol. Feel the Energy flowing and making both the water and salt mixture and the symbol alive. Feel the properties of the symbol being infused in the Water. Feel the light pulsing in the mixture.

5. As you feel the Divine Energy flowing in you, use your active hand and pass it over the glass. Feel the Divine Energy being channeled in the Water. Pass your hand as many times you need in order to charge the water.

6. The Holy Water is charged with Divine Energy and is ready to be used. If you are a more visual type make sure you visit our Youtube channel available below in order to see the process.

Uses of Holy Water

Drink Holy Water that you have created when you require protection, banishment of negativity and to rejuvenate your Energy. Sprinkle Holy Water in your personal Space to remove negativity, shift the energy and for Protection. You can sprinkle your magical objects (or any other object) to cleanse the object and bless it). Add it to your Bath – Similar to drinking it, adding it to your bath will assist with protection, banishment, rejuvenation and blessings. Holy Water can be used as a base for many magical Recipes that require Water if you require an extra charge or vice verse you can use Charged Water from another recipe as the base of your Holy Water. In general, my Grandmother used to mix different types of charged water with Holy Water to ensure that the recipe is going to be put in good use by the person.

This is brilliant, for some reason I connected Holy Water with the Christian god, but really all divine is holy. :person_facepalming::laughing:

I learned something new today too Tracy. That’s what these challenges are all about!

Oh, this will be good one to get back into the swing of things easily.

I learned something new too going through the current posts, I was on the same thought process of @tracyS about Holy Water, but as she said, anything related to the Divine would be holy!

I am going to have to have a walk around the house, I have made a few waters recently, so I will have to give them a look & come up with an actual entry! This will be fun! :hugs:

Wow @Ostara that’s very interesting. I too had connected Holy Water with the Christian faith and envisioned having to sneak into a church to steal some!

Thank you for sharing that information.

And sure, next time you come to my house you can jump in the tub. I’ll turn the jets on and you can have bubble bath up to your ears.

@Susurrus I don’t know, but when I think of Holy Water I think of Constantine , then I get excited and want to cast spells everywhere, I have to remind myself that’s not how it really works.:rofl:

Ooo… we had some rain so… Water was made!

Challenge Entry

Last night we had some rain & we also had rain a little bit ago! So, *(I have also been doing plant things)* I have a couple of food grade 5 & 3 gallon buckets. I knew it was going to be raining, so I cleaned them out then set them out on my back porch to collect the rain!

The other part is that because my area is in a Level 2 drought, I’ve been collecting rain water in different containers since before the spring. Free watering for my gardens and plants! One bucket I reserved for my own waters :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

One of the main waters I needed was storm water, at least one of those rainy days/nights was a stormy one. So I made sure to put my buckets out, once the storm was over, I got a glass bowl & filled it with some of the water. I cleansed & gave it my intention, which was that the storm water was going to be used for The Morrigan.

Some may know, but my kids will find things and bring them home for me, a few years ago one of those things was an old amber bottle. That is now the storage for my storm water. I put it in The Morrigan’s space. It is on an altar but as of right now both altars are a bit disorganized and somewhat cluttered.

Now The Morrigan has a fresh bottle of storm water!

I gave it a new cover, it used to be plastic wrap, but I decided to go with some aluminum foil over the top tied off with some twine. The storm energies will just reflect back to the water, but the amber coloring helps it to not be filtered with light so it stays fresher a bit longer.

The other thing I learned over this past summer is lightning in a jar! So now I just need another storm so I can collect some lightning!

Other than the storm water, I have made other waters for my plants! Whether it’s been to treat them or just to give them extra oxygen to the roots. I do have to get a couple of things to finish making the soil for when they need to be repotted, but that can wait a little bit. All the plants loved this summer and had so much new growth… I don’t want to disturb them too much with the new babies they have made :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

For those waters, I started with the collected rain water. In one gallon just I put 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide, and the rest was water. I have a bottle in the house of rain water with a bit of hydrogen peroxide in it. I made a half gallon of rain water with chamomile tea mixed into it. Another gallon was 2 tablespoons of epsom salt with the gallon of water. The last bottle was a 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda then a bit of the water with a tablespoon of vinegar, and then more water, shake it up to dissolve the baking soda then I filled it the rest of the way with the water.

Each mix helps plants with one or more something that may arise. From powdery mildew, compaction, nutrients, some pests, or just nutrients to keep my plant friends happy

Is one of these recipes good for getting rid of indoor plant gnats? I’ve tried changing the soil for bird greens, bought new pots, let the soil dry several months and scrubbed the pot, spraying with cleansers, but they seem to keep coming back. Just curious. They don’t seem to harm anything, and I haven’t noticed them bothering Albus, but they do get curious about my activities.

@georgia Oh I do have a couple for pests! I’ll be back!

Hi! I’m back @georgia! This one I had gotten by way of friend that is a pesticide for plants. Oddly enough it’s garlic water! So fitting for this challenge thread too!

It’s a natural fungicide but also treats for pests & repels them! If you’re using it outside it can also deter rats, rabbits, elk, deer, and voles We have a few of them too, but I haven’t used it outside yet. Only on my indoor plants.

Crush up garlic cloves for the usual things use a blender and make a paste with about 6 cloves. Then add about a spoonful of pepper to blend in. Once that’s done add I think around 4 cups of water to it & beat it a couple of times. Put that mix into a bowl then cover it overnight. The next day, strain the mixture into a spray bottle. I add a bit of Dawn dish soap (1/2 - 1 teaspoon maybe) you don’t have to but it helps it stick around.

Once it’s in the spray bottle, Shake it up and then spray near the bottoms of the leaves where pests are most likely to lay eggs. For just preventing them… about once a week give it a spray. If you have an active pest issue, then spray them twice a week or whenever you may see the pests. Once it’s made you can store in the refrigerator, but it will only last a couple of days so you will need to some, probably each week to continue using it for prevention or an issue. If they are outdoor plants then after rain you will want to respray the leaves & to keep it a consistent thing you can do it whenever you water the plants.

I just got done talking to my friend who had told me about it. She gave me the link she found it with originally. I looked through it & it’s basically the same information but with added explanations. Here is the link:
→ DIY Garlic Water Pesticide

I peeked a little around that site, and some of the mixes I already use are there, although I had no idea about the measurements I sort of guessed because I figured that even though it’s not much, it should probably be diluted so the plants don’t go into shock or get damaged. Any of them even if they are from the site & you use exact measurements, it’s probably a good idea to test on small section. Just in case. Not all plants like the same treatments sometimes, but the Garlic water is kind of universal due to it’s natural elements and properties.

It’s all natural & won’t have any icky side effects either! I used it closer to the spring when my plant addiction really took off

I’ve also been told that Neem oil which is natural is also good for them too. If there is anything in the soil or if you are reusing soil, you can put the soil in a layer on like a cookie sheet. Then turn the oven on 250 degrees for about an hour.

I kind of make my own soil mix because I have various types of house plants. In my front (chaos) gardens, I use either loam as filler when I dig them up or to add to any that have washed away, or if needed, when I’m transplanting. My pallet garden has its own soil, loam, and compost mix going on. My plant soil mix I keep in my greenhouse with pots, hangers, tools, starter plants/seedlings. I just cleaned it up & with some idea help from my cousin, it’s a little outdoor space for me to meditate or go to when the weather isn’t very nice out. I stay dry & out of the wind, but I still get to be outside.

Ooo nice, I’ll have to save this one for when the storms roll back in again! :cloud_with_lightning_and_rain:

Oh thank you! It was a spur of the moment decision to make a rune stave and used a sharpie for the symbol instead of pyrography

It’s gorgeous, I love it!

Oof, I could have used this a few months back! I finally gave up and no longer have plants potted in dirt. Converted the 5 potted pothos to aquaculture when I admitted defeat.

Okay, here is mine! I hope I’m doing this right  WATER CHALLENGE ENTRY

I currently live in southern Arizona, and we are in a drought in my area. However, it did happen to rain twice this week, and pretty hard too! I finally remembered to put a jar out to collect storm water. It’s very dirty but the wind was blowing a lot that day, so…

For this challenge, I decided to use storm water. I wanted to show my appreciation of the water we have been given. It seems throughout my life, everywhere I move, there’s a drought shortly afterward. The rain always returns once I move, too! I even moved to Oregon just for the rain, only to encounter a drought the whole 2 years I lived there. Anyhoo…

So, for this challenge, I decided to view the storm water differently. Instead of getting frustrated over the lack of rain, a friend suggested I’m not appreciative enough of the rain that we are getting. Maybe if I appreciate the little we are getting, then maybe it’ll rain more!

I grabbed my Monsoon jar and put some of it in my black bowl. I didn’t just repeat my appreciation for the rain. I tried to really think of how cleaning rain is, how cool and good it feels on my bare feet when dancing outside, how it makes the grass feel soft and good rather than dry and sharp on my feet. I thought about how glorious showers and swimming holes are. I live right by the river, and while the riverbed is still pretty dry, we did spot some mud over there, so yay!

I thought of how pure it is, how it can cleanse and revitalize. How when I’m sweaty and red from being out in the summer sun, and how chugging ice cold water brings my temperature back to normal and causes my blood pressure to drop. I tried to think of the way water feels, how wonderful rain smells, and tried to visualize it dropping deep into the Earth, healing those drought cracks and spreading pure moisture across the land.

While thinking of all of this, I found leftover stems from basil (hubby is making pesto chicken tonight). I like to use what I have, so I used them in the bottle along with a mulberry branch that I found in the yard. We also grow cinnamon basil, and it’s such a pretty purple plant, I added some of that to the water as well. I’ve been collecting Coke bottles and just knew they would come in handy sometime. So I decided to turn all of this into a Rain Jar and it took me a few attempts to use the wax properly LOL

I also had a feather I found at the beginning of this journey, and I was saving it for something special. I forgot to put it inside the bottle before sealing, so I attached it with zucchini vines from the garden!
