@Ostara you are right! A little bit or something imperfect is a lot better than nothing, waiting to do something perfect!

I do skip parts of my practice now and then. Life happens. I can only go with the flow. Before I know it, sometimes I realize months have passed without my routine. That’s OK. I do start over regularly.

How does it feel? Guilt is not an option for me. I miss time with my belief system and start again when I can make the chance. I don’t wait for the chance to come to me, or I’d never get to it.

Holidays are a good time to review my daily activities and start again. They come often enough that I can review, rethink, and refocus. However, every day is a new chance to try again, if we want to.

Excellent idea! Go for it.

Having it all together, organized, helps the mind feel organized and the life feel all together. I keep mine in a cookie tin on a shelf under my altar unless I’m packed to move or trying to get organized in summer.

I did a little something this morning and we will see if I can stick to it.

Challenge Entry strong text

This morning I made my coffee, sat down at my table and drew a tarot card for today. I drew The Fool for the first time in my life! Today is a day for new beginnings. I put a little bowl of crystals on the table, reached in and asked the Universe to pick a crystal that I would need today. The pick was an opal. Spiritual awareness and emotional balance. Sounds perfect for today!

CHALLENGE ENTRY - MORNING MAGICK

All of these entries are so lovely!! My ritual is much simpler, and shorter, because I have to do it before K wakes up; sometimes I get 15 minutes, sometimes an hour before she gets up . So my morning ritual is based on the moments just after I get up, when I’m making my tea for the day; I have to say, it’s just about the only Crafty thing I do every day lol.

While I’m making my Lift lemon tea, I recite my Circle of Protection chant and visualise a renewed sphere of protection around K. For those who haven’t seen it:

I humbly call on the Divine Family,
The Angels and Guardians; please draw near to me.
Spirits of the Water, Earth, Air and Fire,
Align with my Spirit, and grant my desire.
Embrace and enrich me with protection and sight,
Watch over and guide us, bathe us in light.
Repel negativity so we can be free,
With harm to no one, so mote it be.

Then I do a guided chakra realignment, but I say my own affirmations instead of theirs lol:

My Root is grounded, I am powered by Mother Earth,
My Sacral is energised, I know what I’m worth.
My Solar Plexus is grateful, bright like a new day,
My Heart blooms with love, melting the pain away.
My Throat and Ears allow me to say and hear what’s right,
My Third Eye illuminates, I see with more than sight.
My Crown is my connection to the above and below,
My chakras are aligned, give me peace wherever I go.

On those unfortunate occasions when K wakes up at the same time as I do, I do this after she’s been fed; I don’t feel bad for missing it, but I do feel kinda weird, probably because it’s part of my routine, I don’t feel like a bad Crafter or anything like that. When the important duties are taken care of, then I take at least 15 minutes to do my morning thang… I’m worth it!

As I’ve said before, on Sundays, I do the full ritual instead of just the alignment; I listen to the ā€œspace noiseā€ for each chakra to fully open and cleanse, then a guided meditation for each chakra to heal and energise.

I was reading that, and I saw ā€œsit down with a cup of Chai Teaā€ and my first thought was ā€œI did some Tai Chi this morningā€

LOL

I love the way you presented these.

This challenge came at the perfect time because I am gearing up for the start of the school year next week. My mornings are about to become drastically different than what they have been during the summer, and I got a bit of decision fatigue trying to figure out what to do. I actually don’t think decision fatigue is the right phrase; it’s more of the freeze response when I get overwhelmed, or the executive dysfunction issue with my ADHD when I can’t or don’t know where to start.

This morning, I decided to sit down at my desk with my journal and turn on my happy light. I actually had to turn my heater on this morning for a few minutes to get the cold out because I slept with the windows open and didn’t check the weather beforehand and it was in the 40°Fs when I got up this morning, so my house was pretty chilly I think it said it was 63°F in my house when I got up.

Anyway, I was sitting here with my journal and my planner and my happy light, and all of my colored pens, and I had the idea to create a sigil to draw on my happy light with charged water every morning to enhance the effects of the happy light. If you don’t know what a happy light is, it is a light used in the winter or whenever someone needs it that imitates sunlight to help fight against fatigue for those who work nights for example and it also has been proven to be helpful to fight against the symptoms of seasonal affective disorder and depression when there is a lack of sunlight in the area. Since I live up in the northern part of the United States, we don’t see a lot of sunlight during the winter, and the happy light has been something that is very helpful for me.

Since I’m using this during the school year, and I will be using it pretty much every day, I thought it would be a great idea to create the sigil and boost the happy light since I’m already going to be using it. I ended up not creating my own sigil because it needs to be something simple that I can draw on the front of the light with water. Instead, I decided to use a spiral with an arrow point on the end of it.

The spiral is sacred for many reasons, but for this purpose, I’m drawing on a symbolism of outward growth and enhancement. I’m also making sure to draw the spiral pointing to the right for growth, and I am putting an arrow point on the end of it to show that this isn’t stopping, and it will continue as long as I need it to.

Now, as part of my morning routine, once I charge this water under the Virgo new moon, I will sit at my desk for a minimum of 10 minutes with my happy light on and use the spiral symbol that I created to start my day off the right way.

Also, apologies for any weird grammar or punctuation in this post for now. I am using my speech-to-text through the app, and it’s not always the most accurate lol I will fix it as soon as I get on my computer.
