I loved getting this newsletter in my email this morning :consecrate_spell: it was a much-needed reminder to rest and reflect on the past year. Admittdely, these are two things I’m not very good at :sweat_smile: but I really love this reminder here:

Movement for preparing for stillness

If stillness feels challenging, try gentle movements to bring awareness back into your body. Stretch your arms and legs. Make gentle circles with your neck. Scrunch your shoulders up and down. These simple actions can help you notice the sensation of release. Next, connect with your spine and central channel by gently twisting from side to side. Awaken that space once more and come back to center.

With my ADHD, it is really, really difficult for me to sit still. This is even true when I meditate, so I will often just allow my body to fidget and adjust as I need to without making huge movements. Stretching, yoga, and pilates are three things I’m planning to do more of in 2025 and the end of the year is a great time to get started on those things.

I am so glad you enjoyed this that this is helpful!
I also have a hard time sitting still cause of ADHD. I frequently do gentle movement when I am meditating. I make fogure 8 with my shoulders horizontally, and vertically and do them horizontally in my hips to help me stay focused and release at the same time. And then also doing stiring rhe pot with my upper torso, clockwise and counter clockwise.

Those sound like good movements to keep the body loose, too. I’ll have to add them to my list!

This was a beautiful read, thankyou for sharing it. I’ve noted down the reflective questions and will sit with Loki later tonight over a beer and see where we are.

Love this. :beers::green_heart:

So reflecting on the prompts with Loki and a bag of runes, I summarise:
:pertho: :ehwaz: :jeran: :algiz: :jeran: :laukaz: :kaunan: :ansuz: :wunjo:
My choices have led me here, to a place of fellowship, joy and change. I’ve learnt to trust again and work with the gods very closely and move forward. I’ve turned over a new cycle in life and celebrate the empowerment this has given me, strengthening my hamingja. I’ve embraced the wheel despite some uncomfortable and difficult turns. However I need to be more like water, more fluid, change still causes anxiety so Loki still is helping me to accept the only constant in life - change, this will reduce the anxiety. I need to hone my skills now and start really understanding my craft. Mourn? For me :ansuz: is about forming your own opinions, I need to mourn the past me, and the belief system that made me. And finally to release, is the betrayal I experienced, it’s time to embrace the joy in life and build hope.

Lovely questions. I did a ritual with Loki, and a bag of runes. If anyone wants to use the runes to chat with the gods, just grab a bag, set up your altar, and breath into your bag, ask the question, then shake the bag and pull one rune.

It is so funny because the being more fluid like water keeps coming to me when i connect with source and learning to shed the skin of my ancesots and rigid structure in ny thinking, actions and reactions.

Celine,
Thanks for sharing your blog, Your reflections were beautifully expressed.Your opening sentence -I encourage you to stop believing that you must do more to be enough. This sentence was on point and been a big lesson this year. That breathless way of doing things keeps me in survival mode. I am learning how to pause -and frankly it is uncomfortable sometime but necessary. The moon rests, why do I think that I don’t have to? LOL
