There are several different beliefs regarding the New Moon and witchcraft. Some witches believe this is the time to start new projects. Others believe it is a time of rest and recovery where no magic should be done.

The New Moon is naturally a time for beginnings and rest. This pairs well with the sign of Cancer, one that takes home life and comfort very seriously. The Cancer New Moon is a great time to get your home life in order. Our relationships will be important to us this New Moon. Lean into the friendships you have and maybe consider making some new ones! If you are looking to perform rituals or spells, a good focus would be on community building, family, and home life.

Since much of the focus of Cancer is on comfort and safety, consider redecorating a space in your home that does not feel quite right. This can be as simple as cleaning your altar space or as elaborate as getting a new couch to make your living room perfect. Community Care

This New Moon, lean into the different ways you may be able to help your community feel safe.
