Lammas has come and gone, and with the first harvest comes the start of the season of gratitude. You’ll probably be hearing a lot about abundance and appreciation straight through Mabon and the autumn equinox (and on until Thanksgiving, if you’re in a part of the world that celebrates a November feast festival).
It doesn’t need saying that prosperity and gratitude go together like witches in a coven. Abundance is collected, appreciation is shown, and that abundance grows 
Are you looking for a magickal way to grow prosperity in your space and/or have something to include in your gratitude rituals? While there are many forms of prosperity magick, one popular method is by making a money bowl.

What makes a money bowl?
A money bowl is a magickal item used to gather the energy of prosperity and bless a space with abundance. While it may be used to bring abundance in other forms, it is usually a form of money magick that increases the flow of money or other material goods to the caster.
Just like altars or other magickal tools, money bowls can be as elaborate or as humble as you wish. Each money bowl is a reflection of the witch who makes it.
At its most basic, a money bowl consits of two things: a bowl or dish and items that correspond with your intention - in this case, items magickally associated with prosperity, money, growth, and abundance.
How do we know which items to pick?
Those who have been practicing a long time will likely have favorite items they use for money magick. But for those new to the Craft or folks looking to fill their bowls, I recommend checking magickal correspondence charts. These charts list the associations of herbs, crystals, days of the week, moon phases, etc and will tell you what aligns best with different intentions.
No time to hit the books? No worries! I’ve put together a list of common items you can use to fill up your money bowl. Because when it comes to growing prosperity, an overflowing bowl brings overflowing abundance - so load up that bowl!
