You are most welcome!

I use therds Eclectic Witch because my practice draws from different beliefs & ideas. I go by what works for me when i am doing anuthing “witchy”.

I came back to my practice a couple of years ago, so Ive had time to exore or in some cases re-explore topics of interest to me. I say Eclectic because its the nest to describe my practice, its made up of many different aspects.

Keep going through the courses, you’ll gain so much knowledge & sort of get an idea of what you would like to explore further.

There is a book available on Amazon Kindle called The House Witch by… Arin Murphy Hiscock. I enjoyed it & it makes sense for my position in life right now. I believe theres a review for it in at least one of the book clubs. I’ll try to find one & link it here for you. :hugs:

Nice one. I guess id be eclectic to as i use bits and pieces and make my own from knowledge of what I myself experience and from those of others through reading and observation. Im a nature freak aswell. I just like reading for knowledge and its like a past-time/hobby.

Eclectic sounds fitting then!

I love to read especially things that have to do with how people lived before the 1970’s all the way back to ancient times. I read all the time, my Kindle Unlimited list is honestly ridiculous. I have one shelf double-layered with actual books. I like to learn & read & write… mostly as past times…
or hobbies. I have a ton of those :joy:

If you’re interested we do have a Where in the World are the Witches? GROUP POLL! 2022 :map: that will have a general area of where people are from, then there’s a second one in the first that narrows it down a bit more. It’s in a category that you can’t access if you aren’t logged into your account. :hugs:

Today is Sunday so tomorrow there will be a new Merry Meet Monday post for the upcoming week with happenings in & out of the forum. It’s a great place to meet & talk to other members within the forum that are in & out throughout the days.

Sabbats in the Southern Hemisphere

There may be some good information contained within this post & you can look into Southern Hemisphere Information on the site itself. Theres also a printable page to help you follow the Southern Wheel Southern Hemisphere Printable Wheel

We have at least a few witches that celebrate the wheel to the reverse of the Northern Hemisphere.

If you have any other questions, please let us know!

If you want more in-depth information than what the lovely and talented @Susurrus has given you, there’s a book called A Wiccans Walk in Oz - Perspectives from the Southern Hemisphere that might help you out. I haven’t read it myself but it looks interesting.

Merry meet @andre,

Welcome to the forum- it’s a pleasure to meet you!

No worries, Andre! I’m assuming you are in the Southern Hemisphere, yes? You are right that you can absolutely still celebrate the 8 Sabbats- you are free to choose whether you want to follow the Northern calendar or use the reversed version suited for seasons in the South.

Siofra and Amethyst shared some great resources, and know that you aren’t alone! There are plenty of folks here in the forum who celebrate the Southern Wheel of the Year or who follow their own seasonal celebrations. Feel free to explore and do what feels most right to you! :star2:

Blessed be! :sparkles:
