I love morning glories too. Many years ago me and a friend of mine went to an old abandoned house and dug some up out of the yard. The next week the house was bulldozed and the land was cleared, so we did it just in time! The morning glories took off like crazy and they had huge purple blooms. Of course, they can easily take over everything if you don’t keep them in check. Hubby got the weed killer out! I hope I still have some left.

Earlier in the week I found some Celandine in my front yard while walking my pupper… I’ve never seen it in our front yard. I only recently started seeing in our backyard in the last year or 2… prior to that I had never seen them & weren’t even sure what they were called & only knew that they look like miniature daffodils! 
For a while, that’s what I called them, but really hadn’t ever seen them before so I had to use my identifier apps to figure out their actual names 
I also found out that they are useful in magical practices:
- Protection
- Escape
- Legal Help
- Happiness
So I’ve started collecting them when I do see them & have some in my herb collection 
I also do have dandelions, 3 versions of hostas around my yard, violets, large quantities of clover that come back each year. Plus each year we have sunflowers 
, & one of my favorite flowers that comes in various colors & as stationary or climbing flowers in various colors Nasturtium. They are lovely & vibrant! I know we have some new bulbs to plant this year 
I just can’t remember the names of the flowers that they will be off the top of my head. So, once I get to my packages of bulbs to be planted… I will let you know what the new additions will be to our yard.

I’d like to write up the magical/healing properties of all the plants on my list above, I will try to get that done this week. My husband is wanting me to hurry up and get our taxes done, so that’s on my to-do list as well.

I want to learn more about *American Mountain Ash (Rowan) and also sweet pea! I loved the Heather growing in the fields in Scotland, but I’m not sure if it would grow here. On my list!

Beautiful Red Amaryllis looks so pretty! I do have Morning Glories coming up everywhere, well not yet, but later. It’s in the 70s today but still below freezing at night, so not much coming up except the bulbs. And only the Daffodils are blooming so far.
My Grandmother always had morning glories in her yard, they are such a good memory of her for me. I pick the seeds in the fall, so I have little bags full of them to plant this summer.
I make my own ‘weed-killer’ with vinegar, salt, and the Now Clove Oil. It’s an inexpensive brand purchased just for my ‘weed-killer-blend!’ I had clover coming up everywhere last summer, I let it grow in my rock pathways, but I am not going to let it grow there this year! Oh and the mint, it just goes crazy, it tries to spread in the pathways too!

I love the picture of your beautiful yellow flowers. I have some small flowers just like these. I bought a large bag of Daffodil bulbs, and these smaller ones were included. I like the color yellow, it makes me smile, so that’s why I plant so many yellow ones. I would never wear yellow, but the color is perfect to brighten my yard.
Here in Colorado, the mountains turn yellow with leaves on the Aspen trees. I love seeing them. Another item for my to-do list!

Thank you @marsha, my Mom gave those to me 30 years ago. I’m still sick about losing my gardenia bushes to the freeze. They would always bloom in May, but the first Thanksgiving after I lost my Mom there was 1 gardenia blooming. That’s unheard of at that time of the year. It was like my Mom was telling me she was still here.

We haven’t planted daffodils & these just started randomly appearing in random parts of our backyard. So this year to find them in the front was a very nice surprise & I enjoy seeing them. Yellow flowers always brighten my day.
I actually bought a light yellow cotton sundress today with sunflowers on it… I normally do not wear I guess colors… usually kind of earth tones or jeans & sweatshirt but normally not anything really in the way of colors… so any time I buy something that is red, yellow, or even green… is sort of rare. But this dress just seemed to kind of say, pick me! & it made me smile seeing it & just generally feel good

I’m looking forward to starting my backyard… from different wind storms & nor’easters we have some branches that have come down & need to be moved. I also have some general clean up to start back there too. The front is mostly done, my son has a walkway project going on, so I am kind of stuck with the little bit that still needs to be cleaned up there… so I’m hoping to at least start the back some time this week!

Thank you. Hubby is going to get me a fire ring and an outdoor storage container for my things that can be rain damaged. I have definitely burned more calories then I have taken in this weekend!

the Yellow Hibiscus! I would like to get one or two this year and see how it goes. 
It’s still pretty cold at night here, but I hope to plant around Mother’s Day! And of course, there are usually sales and specials then

I can’t wait until I can manage to get outside and work in my garden. I get overheated way too fast so I have to work out there in the morning, but mornings are busy in my house so it’s been difficult 
I am envious of everyone’s garden spaces!

Everyone’s gardens and flowers are so beautiful.
In this tiny apartment with only a few windows and a tiny deck I don’t have many options and I’ve apparently I no longer know how to do container gardening
I wasn’t even going to try this year but going through all of the pictures has me thinking maybe I’ll give it a go

I’ve lost 2 African Violets and mint in less than a month to a fungus. Mint is almost impossible to kill and I have never lost an African Violet, saving them is kinda my thing. It’s this horrible apartment, I can’t keep anything alive here

You can get a copper based fungicide from home depot. I use it to protect my tomatoes outside. Maybe that will help your future or remaining plants.
