Sounds great. I get alot of seagulls, as Bristol is near the sea, even if we’re inland. We get magpies, crows, ravens and the occasional robin. I saw a falcon once but I wasn’t happy as he swooped down and caught one of the little birds.. I do love the seagulls though, they’re so funny.
I haven’t looked it up yet! I did check the link you posted but it doesn’t look like there’s therapeutic information listed… or maybe I’m just not seeing it. I’ll have to do some digging myself!
I’m not sure if they’d do well in your zone? Maybe! If so, you should definitely get some – they’re gorgeous!
@tracyS Oddly enough even living close enough to the ocean that I can walk there in under 5 minutes… I don’t see many seagulls in my neighborhood. However, if I go downtown to the shopping plaza which is close to the ocean, but not as close as I am. They are all over the place there. They hang out on top of the lamposts, the roofs of the stores
, & especially close to the fast food restaurants. We do have at least 2 Hawks that go around our neighborhood
, one morning I sat in my front yard with my son & his girlfriend watching one that seemed to fly high above our street going up & down. I do have blackbirds, crows, cardinals, blue jays, robins, chickadees, finches, & apparently Catbirds & what I think are Orioles
@MeganB… I’ll have to check them out… they are stunning! I’m wondering about my 3 Hibiscus plants in the front this year… they either have decided to take their time or are not coming back
If I remember though, they came out last year around mid to late July & early to mid August.
Yes! I think I can even propagate these and make more I don’t know about shipping them anywhere lol but I can have a whole row of them!
Probably should have been posting these here but I’m in the process of making an 8’ x 4’ raised garden in my backyard.
Found a design I like online, got the lumber, put together the garden, stapled landscaping cloth to the bottom, then got some dirt,
then more dirt, added side supports, installed a sitting rail, and emptied the 22 bags.
Planning on mulching a bunch of the leaves from my backyard to add in before I figure out how many more bags of dirt I’ll need.
Then planting time! Overdue to get these starters in the ground.
Can not wait to have my veggie and herbal garden growing!

I love your outdoor space!
Propagate! Thats the word I’ve been looking for about the Roses I currently have in cups
Not sire if its working yet, it says it takes about 2 weeks before I see anything.
Thank you. We have had a lot of rain in the past 2 weeks and the fire ants have taken over. Welcome to Texas. Lol! I’m going to deal with them today.
Oh, wow! I have watched about fire ants on nature shows- they freak me out.
Good luck dealing with them today! Show them whose garden it is! Invite them to live elsewhere.
That is what I do with the spiders- in my mind we have a deal- if they are in the bathroom or bedroom they die. If there are elsewhere, I express gratitude and leave them be.
I think out of all the posts here on Spells 8, this is my favorite. Everyones outdoor spaces and flowers are beautiful! They always make me smile.
@Susurrus
Purple is my favorite color and I love your Irises! The Northern Starflower is so delicate and beautiful! Does it grow wild in your area?
@MeganB
I think I can even propagate these and make more
That sounds interesting… if it works it would be beautiful! Keep us updated!
Everything looks great! I’m looking forward to seeing more pictures!
My daughter does this too! If they are in the house, I catch them and put them outside! I try not to kill them, but if they bite me, they are dead!!! Bahahaha
Me too! I love seeing everyone’s Magical
Garden
space!
And yours is especially awesome!
@tracyS
I love your outdoor garden space, with fairies and an apple tree! it’s a beautiful spot to have a cuppa
I would love to have an apple tree in my yard!
Not sure where I would put it…
@Cosmic_Curiosity
Your tulips are so pretty and so colorful! Only a few of mine (maybe 3) managed to bloom in my yard… with our extreme weather this spring! We had too many really hot days 80+ followed by freezing cold, below 0! This cycle repeated itself, and to top it off, were so dry, with little to no snow/rain at all! I didn’t have many daffodils bloom either. Now we are in a wetter cycle and my plants are loving it!
Yesterday, I finally found time to go shopping for plants. The tomato plants didn’t look good, so I’ll keep looking! Everything was so overpriced at Lowes so I didn’t get anything there! I got a few plants at Home Depot and Walmart, which I will plant today. I decided against buying another Columbine plant because I keep losing them, I have lost a total of 3 now! I only bought one lavender plant eventhough I lost six.
I love my plants, and it makes me so sad when I lose one of them. I know the plants don’t feel that way, they live by the seasons and understand the circle of life! My Magickal Garden is still a work in progress, and I have much more to do… but it heals my mind, heart, and soul. It’s so peaceful and calming, one of my neighbors calls it, “My Happy Place!”
Awww, thank you. I’m about to get rid of some fire ants. They are even in my potted plants! I found that out the hard way. Lol!
@Ostara
Fire ants are the worst! Good
luck and be
careful… when they bite it hurts!
@marsha apparently it does & its obe that bees love too!
Well, I have finally started a garden. My back is acting up so my 13 year old helped
Here are the hanging pots and some herbs.
I will eventually start the veggie garden but since my mother wants to talk about it none stop i am at the point where I don’t want it at all
I love your pictures @Phoenix_Rose
Everything looks beautiful and so green!
I just planted Sunflowers . I think I picked the perfect spot. I am super excited!! I love them and they were a gift to start because I grow everything inside. This was so inspiring
Grits! For the fire ants. They won’t harm anything at all. No chemicals and they get rid of the ire ants.
Blessings and magic
@Mami_Water
I love sunflowers too! They are such happy flowers. I planted mine the first year we moved here, and now the birds and squirrels spread seeds everywhere. I have so many coming up, I will have to thin them out soon. I’m looking forward to seeing pictures of yours.
With love always
I have never heard of that, but I will try it!
